Brad and his team at A-Tech are top notch! Had an issue at my parent's house with their HVAC and A-Tech was recommended by a friend of mine. I called to make an appointment to assess the problem with the HVAC and Jared came. Jared was a professional and provided me the situation and didn't lie to me at all. Jared provided me with all details of his assessment so that I could "possibly" compare with other HVAC companies. Jared never once tried to upsell me only anything and he said the assessment was free. I did call 2 other companies to make an assessment. Both companies provided me with a list of "things" that is wrong with the unit. One of them tried to upsell me a brand new HVAC UNIT and they offer financing. Per my calculation I would be paying $18K for an HVAC unit if I financed with them ($12k for the unit & $6K for interest). I called Jared and asked him to write me an invoice to purchase a new unit, which he did and I was surprised by how much different the cost was (way lower) from the other company. I asked Jared what is the actual total with tax, labor and dumping the old unit....he said "that's the whole total...with delivery, pick-up, removal and installation ". I agreed to the terms and scheduled the replacement. A-Tech team showed up at 8am on the scheduled date and immediately went to work. Jared explained to me the whole process and he even invited me to watch their work. 3 hours later the guys are done, cleaned up and ready for payment - which I was glad to pay in full. The warranty was great! I highly recommended A-Tech to ANYONE needing repair, replacement or even an assessment done to their HVAC system. Well the team at A-Tech New parts in the Van really that's value when you need it. Yes I could buy that part online and do my best to replace. Sometimes we need to remember that people train for trade jobs and they actually know what they are doing. Dante was just the right tech for our needs today. He called in route and was at our door on the early side of the appointment window. He and Chris the other service tech worked to get the job done. My house is cool and we are happy. Payment was quick and easy. No games and all very nice. My dealings with the owner also very good. Responded to me quickly upon my Yelp request. My 80-year-old single female neighbor had her a/c die on a 108-degree day. Her home warranty company sent another service to her house. They said her compressor was dead and it would take them three weeks to get a new one. Or, she could pay them $15,000 to install a new system, which could be done the next day. I called Brad at A-Tech and asked him to send someone to give her a second opinion. Jonathan arrived at his scheduled time later that afternoon. He worked for 30-45 minutes troubleshooting and then replaced the "contacts" and got her system working again. Total charge was $125. There are a lot of crooks in the Las Vegas heating and cooling business. They especially look to prey on women and the elderly. Likely the best experience I've had with dealing with trades businesses, and I've had to do that a lot recently. We needed to replace an old AC unit, and Brad was consistently on time and superb on his communication. He came out to inspect our existing HVAC system, gave us a quote, explained the procedures for replacing the AC. Followed up with pulling a permit prior to the installation, getting his subs to work on the AC stand, then installed the new AC unit. Afterwards Brad got the county inspector to come out and got approved on the installation. Throughout the process Brad patiently answered all of our questions promptly and professionally. At our request he also installed a Nest thermostat for us, with no additional fee, even giving us a discount on the thermostat compared to the retail price. Brad set a high bar for trades and businesses in general, and I would not hesitate to recommend A-tech and Brad to anyone who needs a replacement on their AC. read more

When the first heat wave of the season hit us in March, we discovered that our AC unit wasn't cooling our home. I called A-Tech Heating and Cooling and left a voicemail and received a call back shortly after from the owner, Brad. It was a Tuesday evening, and the earliest appointment he had was Thursday afternoon, which I took, but asked for him to reach out if he had any cancellations. Wednesday morning, Brad called me and said he had a cancellation for Thursday between 8:00 - 9:00am, which I took. Thursday morning, I received a text message confirming that a tech -- Jonathan -- was on his way. Jonathan called me shortly after and confirmed that he would be here at 8:30. Jonathan arrived, looked at our unit, and determined that the unit was low on refrigerant. He inspected both the AC unit as well as the furnace, but unfortunately, there wasn't any sign of a leak at either system. I opted to have the system recharged with refrigerant. Jonathan confirmed that other than that issue, the unit was in otherwise good working order, with the exception of a capacitor that had a low charge, which he also replaced. Shortly after being serviced, the unit started cooling our house again. In previous years, technicians from other companies had told me that the unit absolutely needed to be replaced. I called A-Tech as a second opinion after another cooling and heating company told me that I had a cracked heat exchanger that was a safety issue. Said company then disconnected my gas from my furnace and I have been without heat for 5 days and provided a quote on replacing my furnace. Brad and Jared came by to give me a second opinion and both checked my furnace out. They could not detect any cracks in the heat exchanger or issues other than a dirty flame sensor. They counseled me on several aspects of home safety and that my old system will need replacing but it is not emergent. Brad and Jared were very knowledgeable and were able to educate me about the furnace and other HVAC related information. They treated me with respect and allowed me to ask whatever questions I had. They were very professional and took their time to diagnose the issue. Although I'm realistic about my aged system, they did not try to upsell or push me into replacing it right away. They gave us a time frame of 4-6pm nearly the sameday, and on top of that the tech (Kevin) actually arrived early. Kevin identified the issue quickly, which was the blower. Called A Tech because of their 5 star reviews and being a new resident in Las Vegas. Previous 3 consults claimed a leak in attic evaporator coil and said not replaceable to exact specifications due to age so everything should be replaced, two furnaces,two evaporator coils and two 2019 A/C units! Explained it to A Tech and they sent out Tommy which I can't say enough about. He checked for leaks a couple of times in attic and could not find one so resorted to seeking the A/C outside units and found a small leak in a Schrader valve and some shotty installation issues that could also cause the leak and would address if my air conditioner fails again.
