I was so happy to discover a new, LOCAL and freshly roasted coffee option! The employees at Desert Eagle are so friendly and helpful and really cared about making sure our drinks were great. The place smells AMAZING even as you pull into the parking lot, so you know it's going to be pretty great coffee. A few major plusses / unique things about this business: * They are open 24 hours a day! This is beyond awesome for overnight shift workers, or people who have to leave for work at 5am before anything else is open. * They have a drive through! yay! For some reason, coffee places tend to not do this in AZ as much as in other places. * The coffee is roasted ON-SITE! You can see and smell it. How much fresher does it get?? * They have a stamp card, so you really feel like you're getting a bonus/extra value each time you make a purchase since it's leading toward a free drink. Yes, 'bux has their card, but they just majorly devalued it, so it's worthless to me now. *They have super yummy and unique specialty drinks that you won't find at the chain places *Staff is truly friendly and genuinely cares about making you a great drink. This is so, so rare these days. The only, only thing I could find to fault is that my drink was not as strong as I would have liked - BUT - I ordered a medium iced drink, which is I think 16oz, and the menu clearly says it comes with 2 shots, so I could have either order the smaller size which also comes with two shots for a stronger drink, or I could have ordered an extra shot in the 16oz. My husband had an americano, and the coffee was so good he was able to drink it with just cream and no sugar (he usually needs about 4 sugars to mask the bitter taste of less well-roasted coffees). If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I have been barista for four years for 3 different shops and this is by far the worst coffee shop I've ever seen or spent/wasted money on. The coffee is AWFUL. Ive gone a couple times in the past and every time I go in with hope that it will be better but it never is. The baristas consistently make my drinks wrong, touch my car in the middle of a pandemic, they handed me the iPad to sign??? Like??? Highly recommend the White Tail on ice! The drinks are very flavorful and yes the baristas are new so they are a little slow which is a downside right now. However, Desert Eagle is in a great location and I have been hoping a coffee shop would open up in my neighborhood. Advice- be patient right now. The owner Bob is always around and very friendly. I will be reporting this location to the Better Business Bureau regarding the way they treat employees and failure to maintain proper cleaning guidelines. I don't know WHO the heck is running this place or who the general manager is but they have no clue what the hell they're doing. Are they even qualified to run a business? This is one of the worst places I've been to. The turnover rate must be insane as I do not see the same employee at this location for longer than a month or two. All of the best workers I've come across have left this location.. wonder why?? I've heard stories from people that work there that they're treated unfairly depending on their political views and are made fun of in the work place which is workplace harassment and ILLEGAL. There's an odd trend of white women working there for the most part. Why isn't there more men or people of color? Makes you wonder and it lines up with the sexist and racism claims! If the owner reads these, please get someone that's actually qualified to run this place because right now it's a dump! I'm sending everything I know to the BBB and I've spoken to multiple employees and ex employees about this place. Stay far away from this shit hole. The employees are not appreciated and it shows! Oh my goodness. I can't believe it took us so long to try this place! We were thirsty on a Saturday afternoon and we were close to Desert Eagles coffee. Drove over there and parked. They had a drive thru but since it was our first time we wanted to check it out more. Went to front of shop and employee was there with a tablet to take our order. He showed us the menu for coffee drinks and we both got a Mr. penguin which had chocolate and white chocolate in it. They have 3 sizes, we got a medium blended. A few minutes later the drinks came out. So very tasty! So very refreshing! It's a local business so always good to support them. We will definitely be back, probably again and again! I love the drive thru option cause it was a hot day! The greeter was friendly and fast. Facial mask was on at all times. The drinks were unique but a bit to sweet for our taste. I had the Irish cream and more then half had to be trashed or else my blood sugar levels would kill me. I would go back and try a drink without sugar and more coffee flavors. It's ok. The coffees aren't as sweet tasting as Dutch brother so if you like the sweeter taste to help drown out the bitter coffee taste you might not like this coffee. Do reason my order didn't go through so instead of three large hot coffees they tried to give me a small iced. When mistake was noted the girl worked to fix it but was the only one making coffee do it took about fifteen minutes on top of the time it took them to make the small. So the empty line when I got there backed up. I would say that it took me as long as it would have to get Dutch brothers while waiting in line as pulling up with no line. I am so sad to leave this... but I gave you guys so many chances. I used to go out of my way to come here. Wayyyy our of my way. The first time I went it was so yummy. Nice smooth coffee and friendly employees. But I have been here at least 6 times since and every time I get a coffee that tastes more like water than anything. I just got a cold brew with soy milk and cinnamon and that was the last straw. I taste NO coffee. At all. The staff is so nice I hate to leave 1 Star, but the coffee isn't good and I just can't fathom paying 5.00 for another coffee with no taste. I did go back and ask if any coffee was even in my drink. The girl looked at me very concerned and said she would make me a new one. She went back inside and mad me a new one. Unfortunately, it tastes the exact same. Watery soy milk with a dash of cinnamon instead of a creamy cold brew. So disappointing. I am not a strong coffee drinker so I wasn't looking for that taste. But to taste any coffee in my drink is better than NOTHING! Also- just so management is aware- I am pretty sure one of your male employees that wears a hat and black most of the time was drunk last time I came. Firstly, the menu is not so great in person or online. The drink I ordered (Grand Canyon) tasted like watered down milk. I had a decent expectation and I was disappointed. Also, there was a mess in the seating area and the workers didn't seem to be bothered by it. They had enough staff and opportunities to keep it tidy but did not do so. To me, If the place isn't clean it's a turn off. Messes with the experience . The girl didn't know the menu when we asked for suggestions . Well this place is a joke! I live right behind Desert Eagle and a few weeks ago they put up several gates so that people who live in Bell Aire can't drive through the parking lot to get onto Bell Road and people who go to the car wash can't get drive through the parking lot, they also have to go to Bell Road first. I also noticed that people that live in Bell Aire that used to drive through and get coffee there now they don't! I also noticed that this week they've had one of their workers sitting on the sidewalk with a sign to drum up business. Correlation to closing off the parking lot..... I think so!!! This place USED to be so amazing. My husband and I would stop by almost daily, for the flavor of the coffee, the great customer service, and the amazing prices. Unfortunately we've noticed some changes over the last year or so that were not for the better. High turnover rates caused extended wait times (average of 15+ minutes), prices have been jacked way up (more than Starbucks) and now they're apparently using fewer ingredients. 1 shot of espresso in a large 32 oz latte- that costs $7.10 before tip?! No thank you. Apparently the new owner even took the employee discount from her own employees! This place is going downhill fast- do not waste your time or money. read more

Service here is pretty much always bad and I am very rarely impressed with the baristas' attitudes. you can tell that most of the staff at this place want to be anywhere else but there. Today, I ordered a drink and once it was made, they substituted the desert pear syrup with blue raspberry syrup without telling me and without asking if I was okay with the substitution. When I asked why the drink was a different color, the girl explained that they were out of the desert pear syrup so they just decided to use blue raspberry instead. When I told her that I didn't want a drink with blue raspberry in it, she told me that they were too busy to remake it. Here's a tip, don't make substitutions without asking customers if they're okay with it first. I shouldn't be paying $7.75 for a drink plus tip just to get a drink that I didn't want and a non-apology. I would have been fine just asking for a different drink if they didn't have the syrup available, and I'm not at all happy with this experience. I have been here a handful of times. I usually like the drinks, service, and location. But today I went and paid $7.54 for a medium chai tea latte. I did get almond milk, so I am aware that would be an upcharge, but even so, I don't know anywhere else I'd pay that much for a medium chai tea latte. So I'm sorry to the girl for not tipping because I normally would, but that was outrageous in my opinion. I didn't plan on spending that much. It also wasn't even worth that price. It was very watery compared to all the other chais I've ever had from other places, and it was too sweet. I don't really expect a chai tea latte to taste so sweet. The girl did have me taste it before I left (like they do at Bikini Beans), but I didn't really feel like saying anything. Both of my prior experiences weren't good, customer service/drink order instances. This coffee shop is in such a solid area on Bell that I wouldn't want them to shut down, but instead I recommend improving your quality of detail when preparing orders, especially when it comes non-dairy requests, the duration of time it takes to prepare orders and maybe practicing socializing when working the window, as there have been some awkward feeling moments. I'm new to the area and I love to support local coffee shops over chains so I stopped by to pick up some coffee while running errands. From my first visit, I noticed the staff is very friendly. They held a conversation with me while my drink was being made and they even gifted me a cookie. I came back and I had the same great experience. I've had the Phoenix Rising drink and for both visits, the barista has asked me to try it to make sure I am satisfied with the drink before I head out from the drive-thru, which I believe speaks highly because no one wants to spend money on something they don't like. read more

I will not be coming back. Their menu is so vague. I am vegan so I asked what vegan lattes or lattes without dairy they could make and the guy starts listing off the kinds of milk they have. So I said I know the kinds of milk but what kinds of drinks can you make that are vegan? I don't know what ingredients are in the flavorings and it's hard to tell from the menu. And the guy, who says he has been working there for a year, says "I don't know", doesn't offer to find out or anything, so I did not even order a drink. Why do you have four kinds of non-dairy milk if your staff does not even know what non-dairy drinks are available? I can't imagine that you would work there for a year and not encounter any other customers who don't drink dairy. To me this was poor customer service. read more

Clearly they need to change their signage. Quoted $8 and change for a $6 coffee. When asking the young man why the coffee was so expensive, he responded the sign was old, really old? I canceled my order and moved on with my day. Also in this specific time of world history, a little PPE should be expected. There was none.
