From beginning till now there have been issues with this company and it is reaching the point of exhaustion for me. the initial items outlined during the first week of move in were never done, DDP didn't even attempt to try and fix the broken items and since my time in their slumproperty I've come to discover that this unit has foundation issues likely exposing me to lead paint poisoning--which DDP refused to disclose to me until I insisted on the information, and is illegal for a RE agent to withhold-- additionally every appliance is in poor working order that continues to get worse after only a few months, the neighbors are far too loud, the unsanitary conditions by the surrounding premises puts at risk of disease, the dishwasher doesnt work, the staff are lazy and totally unresponsive, DDP lied about several items I explicitly asked about prior to signing a lease, and they also imposed unduly hidden fees which were never disclosed prior. I'm so livid about the level of deception from this property management company it's hard to even put into words. but I hope someone else can read this review before making the same mistake I did because the only thing Desert Dimension Properties can provide is apparently deceptive contracts and try to take advantage of people's money. read more

We just finished a 3 year property management relationship with Joseph and his team at Desert Dimension Properties and couldn't be happier. Since we were moving overseas, we were looking for a full service property management firm that could not only handle the renting and management of our property, but could also deal with the majority of the mundane tasks required of a landlord. I am happy to say Joseph and team came through. DDP knew we would be absentee owners and set everything up so the process worked perfectly. They helped us get the property set up for rental, with all the proper legal entities. They found our tenants in just 6 weeks and managed the entire process end to end. Small repairs were managed by DDP with notification to us via email as to the issues, as was previously agreed. For larger issues (we agreed on a threshold of $500), they were very proactive in reaching out to us to explain the issue and provide resolutions. They were proactive at every turn. We also used DDP to handle the sale of our property and they did a great job there as well. Joseph worked with us to get the property on the market at the right time, keeping an eye on neighborhood comps, so that we could catch the market while it was hot. That resulted in our property only having to be listed for a couple months before we received a very good offer. Joseph and team helped us through a very aggressive close timeline (3 weeks, and we are in Europe!) by managing the entire close process for us with the buyers title company. Joe is, hands down, the best realtor I've ever worked with. What makes him so great? Start with excellent communication and people skills. You'd think that would be obvious for someone in his profession but trust me - it isn't. Joe is a true pro - quick responses to questions, great follow-up and knowledgeable as all heck. Looking for a new home can be so stressful - I really felt like Joe genuinely cared about helping me find a perfect house and was a partner in it with me, which I needed. (I think he was as disappointed as I was when I got outbid on the first home I'd wanted!) After not getting that house, we were really getting short on time if I was going to avoid moving to another temporary place and then moving again into a more permanent home. Joseph and his team were a pleasure to work with, rented our Scottsdale home out very fast and at a top rate. All repairs and maintenance were handled without issue. After deciding we should take advantage of the buyer's market at the time Joe found the perfect condo. Finally, when it was time to move again Joe sold our place for a good price. I am not sure what more you could ask for in a real estate relationship but there is more. Joe is perhaps one of the nicest people you will meet. He is incredibly calm and level-headed and never impatient to get his clients to do something they aren't ready to do. Don't fall in the same trap I did - please be mindful of this quasi broker/manager. I chose Joe to be my property manager based on his rating - 5 star. Before we started our collaboration I had asked him for one thing, i.e. to not overbill me on maintenance charges as I knew most of the people in the industry do. I told him I agreed with his 10% commission - significantly higher than the market. I specifically asked him to reach out to me with every invoice that was higher than $200. He agreed. A couple of months into the contract; he charges me $900 for "Touch-up paint throughout, including removal of nails & screws & patching holes. Removed all items left at house. Replaced toilet stoppers in 3 bathrooms. Replaced bathtub stopper in guest bath. Fixed broken door handle & toilet seats. Replaced lightbulbs." His man did not do any touch-ups on the walls for the simple reason that there were no holes. No painting was necessary since two weeks before Joe took over I had a handy man to all necessary repairs to have the house in great shape, something that Joe acknowledged when he first visited the house. His remark was that the house was in great condition and all it needs is a general cleaning. He told my wife he will remove all furniture left behind at no expense since his people will take it. When confronted about the outragous bill, his reaction was that there was more stuff left behind than he thought. This was after he inspected the entire house and saw the condition and everything inside. After numerous email exchanges, Joe decided that all three parties involved (me, him and his handy man) should shoulder the bill. I did not agree to his resolution, but since he had control over my finances that did not matter in the end. In addition, the cost to maintain the minimal landscaping at the house went from $150 (what he originally quoted to $300. I did not have the inclination to challenge him on that after experiencing his customer service. Please do not fall into the same trap I did and don't have this guy in charge of your finances. Terrie easily deserves my very first Yelp review. I've rarely written reviews but there are few times they are well deserved. I was recently having air conditioning issues in the hottest weeks of the summer, 112+ degrees all week. I was away from home for a few days and when I came back the AC was dead. 99 degrees in the condo. I emailed Desert Dimensions and Terrie replied the same morning with a resolution from the condo owner. Anyone with AC issues knows the AC company can be the biggest headache and Terrie had already lined up another company by the time I called her to say the first company would take 5 days for an appt. The AC company made it out and what looked like a big expensive issue turned out to be simple and fast. Getting the right company saved a lot of time and money for us, them, and the owner I imagine.
