Pat and Robert did a fabulous job on our canvas print we needed framed. What made it even more complex is the canvas did not have enough room for stretching and we didn't want glass over top. Instead a fillet was used in combination with a frame plus the precision of their skills and knowledge to get it just right! Picked up my artwork from Robert yesterday at Esprit Decor and I cannot tell you how impressed I am with the job. Robert guided us in picking out the frames and although I was sure I wanted plain black I ended up going with his suggestions. I am so glad I did! The frames are all black but they have different touches of scroll-work, dental molding, and slight gilt edge (for my metallic prints) which adds just the right amount of interest and helps to bring out features in the subject matter of each. We recently painted (finished last night!) and the re-hung and NEW art work looks amazing on the walls. I have more prints to frame and I will definitely come back to Robert and Espirit Decor. The most professional and attentive service imaginable here and if Stella and Rosie are in residence when you stop in - don't forget to toss the balls for them. I brought Esprit Décor Gallery a plexiglass with art etched on. The back had an attached wood frame that was flimsy, so I was unable to hang it. Robert was very pleasant and took his time in showing me an array of frames to choose from - the options are endless. Ron "the craftsman" put lots of time into bringing my vision into realty - he did an outstanding job! The framing truly enhanced the art and now it looks finished. I have been carrying around a vintage California flag with me for years after picking it up at an estate sale. It was due time to get it properly framed so we could display it on our wall. After some quick research, we decided to give Esprit Decor a try and I am so happy we did. We ended up choosing the initial suggested frame despite having been shown other great alternatives. I had no idea I was placing my artwork framing request in the hands of master craftsmen. My friend Maggie is an artist and gets her artwork framed here; so when I needed to get a simple black and white print of the Golden Gate Bridge In the fog framed, Maggie said you need to see Robert at Esprit Decor Gallery and Framing. When we brought the print in Robert gave me and Maggie several matting and framing options-all with striking potential. Pricing was also provided and I was able to make a good decision; I needed their help as it was hard for me to visualize the final product. About ten days later I received an email from Pat letting me know that my picture was ready. When I went in to pick it up, Robert was there and it was like an "unveiling": It was stunning- it literally took my breath away! Every time I look at this picture I am blown away by the mood and majesty that the image conveys and that the framing complements. I had a couple of Framed Photographs from Pat Kofahl, owner and world traveled photographer of Esprit Decor. The impressive store on 7th St and Bethany Home Rd. is a hidden gem in this particular shopping center. When you first walk into Esprit Decor, it is unclear if you're in a gallery or a shop. There are many styles of Photography, unique printing styles that appear to be paintings and a myriad ( love this word) of Frame Styles throughout. We had hired Pat a few years ago to fly to Oahu, stay in a huge beach house and hike into the Island's dense Tropical Forests each day in order to capture lush, natural, green imagery. I had attempted this myself, but the camera (Canon EOS 5D) lacked the mega-pixels necessary for gallery sized artwork. Moss Spa needed great visual artwork that allowed the viewer to take a trip, to wander by or to be captivated by the imagery. His images are captivating, yet simple, the true sign of any artist. The 2 prints that needed some TLC were ready in a matter of days ( 5, I believe.) When I dropped them off, I was quoted a price and an estimated turn-around time. I am always so impressed by the team at Esprit Decor, not just for the outstanding work they have done for some very treasured works of art, but for how lovely they are every time I do business with them. And they always go above and beyond. Just today, I brought in a print with matting that I had purchased abroad, and the size was in metric standard, so I was challenged with finding a frame to fit. When I brought the print in, rather then steer me toward a custom frame (which I was more than willing to pay for), the owner suggested they trim the print and matting to fit a frame I had already purchased so I could save money. And then refused to take any payment for doing so. They have also repaired hardware on my prints in the past without charging me. I will never take my cherished art and photographs anywhere else.
