I recently had a large canvas (59" x 75") that needed to be stretched onto a gallery-style frame, and I visited four different framing companies to get quotes. Among them, Affordable Framing in Tempe stood out by a mile, thanks to Kirtis, the owner. From the moment I walked in, Kirtis was incredibly knowledgeable yet personable with a sense of humor to match my own. He was honest and straightforward, taking the time to explain how the costs aligned with the steps needed to complete my project. His genuine interest in my portrait was evident, and it made the entire experience feel personalized and trustworthy. Not only was his quote lower than most of the other companies, but he also completed the project in half the time others had projected. The quality of the work exceeded my expectations, and the entire process was smooth and efficient. I already have several future framing projects in mind, and I know exactly where I'll be going -- directly to Affordable Framing. No more wasting time shopping around across Phoenix. The best work always comes from someone who takes the time to understand their customers and asks the right questions to ensure the scope of work matches their needs. I couldn't be happier with how this project turned out. It's now the centerpiece of my entryway, and everyone who visits is talking about it. I'm thrilled with the outcome and grateful for the exceptional service I received. I'm happy to share the completed piece below -- I'm still blown away! read more

Great place to get your art custom framed! The name of this business is accurate as well -- the framing services are definitely affordable and highly competitive to other businesses. This shop offers a multitude of frame options -- it is a bit overwhelming but the people who work here are very helpful in identifying what works for your pieces. I literally let the guy helping me pick out everything for the 4 pieces I brought in (an oil on canvas original, two ink originals and a shadow box replacement) and I loved what he chose! The art was clearly well-taken cared of in their possession and the customer service was top-notch. Thank you for your services -- I will absolutely be using this company again! read more

Kirtis and Caroline do a great job. Lots of selection and they work with you to make it just right.

Affordable Framing is my go-to for custom framing! They absolutely deserve their 5 star rating! I wanted to frame a giant silk scarf I purchased while traveling in Turkey a few years ago. It's delicate, expensive, and has sentimental value so I needed to ensure it would be displayed safely. After looking into DIY options and having no luck with Michael's framing department, I contacted Affordable Framing to see if they could help me. Who knew framing a 6 foot silk scarf would be so difficult?! Well, Kirtis was up to the challenge and let me tell you, he got it done perfectly! The store has a million different frame options, matting options, glass options and more! Anything you can imagine, they can do! It seems like custom work really is their specialty, although they're able to get a simple photo or poster framed quickly. My initial consultation with Kirtis was thorough and I really appreciate how he spent a lot of time with me going over different design choices at various price points. I felt no pressure to make a quick decision, and there was no effort to "up sell" me on something I didn't need. The scarf project presented some challenges given its large size and the delicateness of the fabric, but Kirtis kept me updated with periodic phone calls. He suggested a couple of adjustments to our original design to ensure the final product would be satisfactory. I'm grateful for his creative thinking to get it done! Ultimately we were able to get the scarf safely framed in a floating shadow box with secure backing to prevent damage from humidity and moths. I have some vintage tapestries and old family photos that need to be framed so I'll be back soon for my next project! Thank you again for all of your help with my silk scarf! I'm absolutely thrilled with how it turned out! read more

I'm a bit ashamed that it has taken me this long to write a review of this wonderful business. Located right by my home, I've been here several times for everything from full framing, to a quick-fix for a picture and frame I already had. No matter how big or small my project, I've been given the owner's full attention. He provides amazing service, affordable prices (just like the name says), and patient recommendations for the indecisive. I cannot recommend this place enough! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Affordable Framing. Kirtis has an artist's eye and was really fun to work with to come up with the perfect framing for our pieces. We have an older home with a very specific style and Kirtis was able to quickly offer us a great variety of frames to match the style. He is not pushy at all and his prices were substantially lower than Michael's, where we'd gone first. What was especially impressive was that we had an upcoming fancy dinner, and Kirtis somehow pulled off a miracle and was able to complete the job in time. I will bring everything to Kirtis in the future. Thank you! read more

Here is the thing. As someone framing my first piece of art I was not sure what I wanted. Curtis walked me through the process guiding me without ever trying to influence my decision. I had 2 nice works of art I received as a gift and I could not be happier with the entire experience, including of course the framed artwork. I received another nice piece for a Christmas present and never considered anyone else. The second time around went faster because both Curtis and I had a better idea of what I liked. And of course this framed artwork is as beautiful as my first pieces. I have one more piece and a frame I am not real happy with and after discussing it with Curtis we decided to put it on the wall and live with it for awhile and see if I warmed up to it. If I still didn't like it after spending some time with it, I could bring it in and pick out another frame. Does it get any better than that? read more

Affordable Framing was recommended to me by a local Tempe trophy store. I took the large items to Kirtis at Affordable Framing and he was eager to design something and provide suggestions based on his years of experience. This large shadow box was to include ceremonial swords, lever action rifle and various law enforcement badges and insignia). Kirtis continued to communicate during the process and the final product was amazing. When it was presented to my father he could not believe the craftsmanship and attention to detail. This was an absolute home run. Thank you Affordable Framing. read more

Yet another 5 stars. I'd I had any gripe it would be how long it took but that's not on them really. The first wood I wanted was out of stock for weeks but that turned out to be a blessing because I found a wood with gold paint accents that matched perfectly with my ASU diploma (and rejection letter) without being gaudy. also I told them to take a long as it takes, so I'm not holding it against the, especially bed when I said I want it done right, not fast, and they exceeded my expectation. If speed is your need, I'd look elsewh for your 1-2 day turnaround time. But if you want it done right, you will not find better. read more

Thank you to Affordable Framing for not only "rushing" my order but creating a beautiful frame to showcase the silhouette I was giving as a gift. Quality work, expert advise, and friendly staff. I do not often write reviews. I have to be either really angry or blown away by greatness. This experience falls under the latter. Hands down one of the best customer service experiences I have had. Kirtis was welcoming, kind, patient, personable and very helpful with suggestions to make the right choice for my 2 pieces so I would be happy with them, not at all thinking about leading me to the most expensive choice, like most places do. I informed him I had never had anything framed before so he could have tried to guide me toward choices that would have benefited him more, but he did the opposite. Quality...I picked up both pieces yesterday and I am still giddy about them! They look incredible!! I have a bit of OCD...I can pick out an imperfection in an instant...both pieces...PERFECT!!! You can tell Kirits loves what he does, he takes pride in his work. If you need these services, do not hesitate to meet with him, even if you have to drive an hour, it will be well worth your time & money, you won't be sorry!! His pup Stella is worth the visit alone!! read more
