This shop is under new ownership and isn't as good anymore. I have had many items framed there…read moreover the years but my most recent experience with the new owners was not too great. 1. I took a large print to be rematted. The new owner tried to sell me everything he had, such as a new frame (because this one has a scratch), new glass (because this one glares), triple matting (which I went for). I just felt like I was the subject of too much selling. It wasn't pleasant. 2. I requested to have the print delivered and hung. The owner said he knew a company who could do that and we agreed on a specific date. On the morning of that date, I called to find out when the person would be coming. The owner: "Oh, I was going to call you. That company doesn't return phone calls." I wonder if he really was planning to call me because in the two week period between order and delivery date, he never did. Needless to say, the picture didn't get delivered or hung that day. The owner did set me up with another company who delivered it, hung it and did a fine job. But I think I will find a new frame shop.

The timing couldn't have been better because I was looking to get a really nice, customized frame as a gift. After setting up an appointment, giving some general guidelines on what I was looking for, and providing some pictures going along with the frame's theme, I pretty much just sat back and let the talent (Frank and Alex) work their magic. They came up with a product that shattered all expectations. They were both extremely professional and courteous throughout the entire process. I would get consistent updates on the progress and anytime they were making a big design decision, they made sure to include me and get my take on it (although for pretty much everything they sent, I said "looks outstanding! Let's go with it"). The picture below does not do the frame justice to how good it looks in person. But, the below picture is of the gorgeous piece of art Frank and Alex at Celebrity Framing created.
