I have read a few negative reviews of this place. But my own personal experience after having spent nearly 2 months there is the opposite thanks to the care given by dedicated nursing assistants. A shout out to CNAs Jeremy, Ana, and Sylvia for wonderful care during the daytime and evening shifts (also Ophelia during the nighttime shift was extremely friendly and caring). I feel that the only thing I'm qualified to give really good reviews on is the care by the CNAs and Kim in the business office. If you're looking for anything resembling the rehab that you would get in an acute rehab facility you might be disappointed. But putting that aside, I do believe that most people who work there are trying to do a good job. I probably would've left this a 3 1/2 stars review, not 4, but for the wonderful care that I received from the CNAs. Overall, I think this is an OK place. read more

I arrived today to visit with my Uncle after him being transferred to this facility after a major surgery and I found him sloped in a wheelchair sitting alone in a hallway by himself . After arriving and pushing hum around to get some exercise my Aunt showed up amd we sat and visited with him in the lobby ( as they only allow 1 visitor at a time to each room ?). My Aunt noticed a big cut on his arm bleeding and we had to ask the check in associate to get us a napkin to clean it up and he took him back to get it cleaned . While I appreciated his kindness and help , this was the only kindness and genuine care shown for my Uncle. After visiting for almost an hour , my Uncle appeared very agitated and tired and we decided it would be best for him to go back to his room and rest. I pushed him back by myself ( again as they only allow 1 visitor at a time ) and asked one of the attendants at a counter desk in one of the hallways for assistance please getting him into.his bed and she informed me his nurse was " still on break " and would be back in a while once they returned to help me..... Really ? My Uncle has to sit in a wheelchair and wait for a nurse to come back from their break to be assisted in a piat surgery care facility? 15 minutes went by as we waited and I asked again . I was again told by the same person at the desk that his assigned nurse was still.on break and there was noone else available to help me place him into.his bed. She so informed me that his assigned burst had been on their " break" since before I initially arrived to visit him which is why I found him alone in a wheelchair in the hallway. So I'm assuming that 2 + hour breaks are normal here foe assigned nurses with no backup nurses available to assist if a patient needs any help. This was so disheartening to hear from her with zero eye contact or acknowledgement or care that he was tired and in major pain from his hip surgery . I proceeded back to the lobby where my Aunt ( his wife ) was waiting for me and I asked her at this point ( 76 years old ) to please come with me to help me put him in his bed as I could get no help from anyone nor did they care to offer any other options as his " assigned" nurse was still.on their break. My Aunt and I went to his room and proceeded to place him.in the bed barely with him crying out in pain as I knew he was hurting and wasn't sure if how we placed him.in the bed ( beat we knew how) made his pain any worse? But we did it and it just wasn't right. The patient sharing the room with my Uncle shared with us that he had requested his pain meds from this same assigned nurse 2 hours prior and that he still hadn't received it and was glimg through major pain and withdrawals. Again , I'm becoming more concerned . Suddenly we hear crying outside my Uncles room and the patient in the room next door to him was in the hallway and had fallen and hit his head on the ground . Suddenly , now there were people to assist ?? To say I'm disheartened and hurt on how they treat patients is an understatement and we will be moving my Uncle out of this facility to a different one tomorrow as we are concerned for his care and safety here. Disappointed in so many ways . Do NOT allow your family or loved ones to be admitted here. They do NOT care about their patients and sadly some people won't see this post and will go through similar experiences in the future. Very very disturbing ........ read more

My boyfriend was here 45 days hardly any therapy and was discarded to a home and board he could not eat by himself or do anything totally disabled and left here with no nurse or anything guy was nice told me to take him back to er this place is no good don't take a loved one here it is terrible nurses were nice Dr's lied read more

When my mom ended up here after a stay at Antelope Valley Hospital, my family and I were very nervous because of the bad reviews. We could not have been more relieved to discover that this is in fact a wonderful facility with very caring staff. They all really went above and beyond our expectations, especially Denise who would return my messages even at 8 or 9pm still at work. Like any hospital or care facility, you need to be an advocate for your loved one and help make the job easier for the people caring for them. read more

The staff and workers are great the doctors are what I find lacking . You can have medication that you have taken for years but the doctors will change it and make it hard to get your medication at the right dose also there are a few staff that need more training and maybe attitude adjustment read more

This facility made a bad mistake by sending one of their patient that has Alzheimer's, PTSD , can't communicate to jail in Apple Valley, shipped him to LA County Jail. They released him and knowing of his condition they let him go. He is lost ! These people only care for themselves and not for their patients. The employees at these facilities are just worried about a paycheck. This facility better help find mybrother or their will be legal action taken.This facility needs to be investigated! These employees are ignorant and liable for their actions. The state should get involved. My brother can't attack no one cause he can't move his arm. They should have took the other person. My brother was non verbal and the other person was non verbal and instead of taking the other person they took my brother on a 72 hour hold and the los Angeles sheriff released him 24 hours later and didn't inform family until after they took him to LA JAIL. Whoever owns this facility, get your act together. Get MS. CHARLENE out very unprofessional and as long as she is there, watch your relatives closely!. If you have relatives that are at this facility, GET THEM OUT OF THERE PRONTO. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE STATE TO STEP IN AND CLOSE THIS PLACE IMMEDIATELY. read more

hello antelope valley hospital had sent my mom to this facility with out us knowing and to find out this facility is so unprofessional its so crazy. I have called time and time again and all the employees do is laugh on the phone hang up in your face and they suppose to take care of your family and all they do is leave your love ones on the bed pans. and one of there employees name is Alisha and I ask to speak to her manger or supervisor she said she don't have one and then she say how can I help you with a smart attitude like someone did something to her and by us being in the covid 19 they feel that they can treat them any type of way and you are putting you family love ones there care so please don't ever \send your family here please I'm bagging you because they are not right for them read more

This was a terrible place to rehabilitate; I was lied to during my visit before surgery, regarding cleanliness and pain relief concerns. The chances of getting an infection are very high, due to staff not doing their jobs. I waited for hours for a bedpan--6 hours, I kept track. A nurse falsified my records claiming she had administered a narcotic, but she had not. Really? My mail was stolen; isn't that a federal offense? Do not have your loved one stay here if at all possible. If they are terribly ill, do a bedside vigil to get help when it is needed. Check the medications they are given, as I was repeatedly given the wrong medications. read more

My mother was there recently for physical therapy for a fracture. the building looks clean, but the lady told me it was preparing for state inspection.The therapy department was nice and all, but the nursesand nurses aids were a different story. My mom was in pain constantly and it takes forever to get pain medication. you have to be on top of the nurses, if not your mom will wait in pain for a long time. also the lvn did not seem to know what medicine she was giving my mom, when i was there. the food is good there, doesn't taste like hospital food, so yay there. my mom had 2 room mates. the lady right next to her had diarrhea, (aka p__py diaper) all the time. and it takes a long time to get the nurse to clean her up. so my mom was out of her room a lot if you can help it ask for a private or semi private room for your mom. the activity department has a lot of the confused patients there, basically everyone is lined up in wheelchairs in front of a big screen tv. But it beats staying in the room with a mudd butt room mate. Dont venture down the back hall. the back hall is replete with screaming patients. one guy sounds like he was turning into a zombie. the nurses don't seem to hear it at all. I spoke with the manager about the noise/screaming, but there was nothing they couId tried talking to the administrator, but the lady who was acting administrator said that the administrator was on a "permanent vacation". the family conference was short. the doctor did not attend and the nursing director excused himself due to an emergency. but the social service worker was nice and smiled and helped us a lot. in summary, if you're mom needs to go to a nursing home, any nursing home,you need to visit your mom daily if you want her to get better. Just be on top of the care. Google the medications your mom is getting so you have information in case the nurses don't know. read more

I wish that I could give this place negative stars. My experience with this horrible place has been an absolute disaster. My father was placed there after having his 3rd stroke and was released to the police after an altercation there. Neither me nor my aunt were contacted before they decided to do this; he had a choice either go to jail or go to the streets, he chose jail. He was never booked or charge, so yesterday morning he was released and neither my aunt or other family members have been able to find him. My sister and I tried to see about getting my mom into this facility 4 months ago. My first time walking in the person I spoke too seem to be really nice an reassuring. But that didn't last long!!! I gave her all the information needed to see about making my mom a patient there and even faxed over all her medical history that same day! She said that she will call me in two days for a room update???? It's been four months!!!!! So within those four months my sister has been checking in herself asking the same questions. But they continue to be rude and suspicious about doing there job and answering the necessary questions. Keep in mind every time we call and leave important messages they are not returned at all. When it comes to the tours and stuff they try to put on a nice face. But When it actually comes down to doing work and returning calls they are very rude and unprofessional! read more

Lancaster Healthcare Center is terrible. The care they provide is pretty non existent. While caring for my Grandma we visited daily and never got the same answers from two people. We would be told she is doing great by one person and the next would say she won't eat for us. We provided food but do not know if she was given what we brought in. She was there for rehabilitation from hip surgery and less than a month later we came to see her and had to insist 911 was called, she was transported and died that night from pneumonia that we were never told she had. Negligence is a nice word, they are dishonest and so many more terrible things that I don't want to say. read more

DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE TO THIS FACILITY!! LANCASTER HEALTH CARE CENTER IS HORRIBLE. They are incompetent, do not do their jobs, lie, and even steal. The food is garbage (they can't even get Jello done right!!) and sometimes unidentifiable, the social service guy named Jerry is unprofessional and an idiot. He tried to set up 2 meetings with us while my relative was staying here - and both times he DID NOT SHOW UP! There are several nurses here who just 'phone-in' their job performances, and many of them are just flat out angry, mean and don't care about doing their jobs! We had to listen to them complain about their jobs and the patients every damn day! Do they not think visitors have ears?? 'Amy' is a huge liar and is loud and obnoxious. 'Ann' looks like a shy timid person, but she has a temper! Some of these ladies are definitely NOT suited for the nursing profession. The nursing staff is terrible, terrible at getting patients their medications on time! And during the evening shift change, they all seem to disappear!! Where do they all go?? This place is severely understaffed - another state violation. Many people here barely speak English and sometimes don't know what something even is when you ask for help!! We had purchased a bedpan for my relative because theirs was hurting her. One of the nursing assistants stole it from us!! On top of that, my family is now trying to get my loved one's medical records and they are doing everything they can in order to avoid handing those over, which is a violation of state law. I suspect they are going to falsify my loved one's records before handing them over. On several occasions there was a 45 min wait for a bedpan change! Many times when dinner was served, they offered ice tea, but would never bring it. I had to bring in back up water and tea so my relative wouldn't get dehydrated. One of the nurses even referred to one of his own assistants as "incompetent", so that tells you something right there. One of their maintenance guys is so freaking stupid it's not even funny! He came in the room one day and took a WET cloth to wipe down the two tv screens. Who does that with a WET cloth?? You're gonna ruin the tv, stupid!! Another time, he unplugged my mom's bed, and forgot to plug it back in! DUNCE. Some of their own in-house rules are not being enforced. Employees would come to work sick, putting everyone else at risk for passing along colds etc), and there were dogs being allowed to roam unleashed, despite the fact there is supposed to be a rule that all dogs in the place must be on a leash. One of the medical transport companies they contract with, to get people to their dr appts, is just awful too. JV Medical transport is always late as hell, BUT that may be just due to the fact that the drivers have to wait with their patient at the dr office, which makes it almost impossible to get to subsequent appts for other patients. Also their drivers are NOT safe drivers! Twice on the last run, I saw my relative being transported and the driver twice made two hard swerves that could've easily rolled the vehicle over if he had swerved any harder. Now having said all of this, there ARE some good people here to do try and do care. Tai, Penny, Cain, Bola, and Autumn were all great people. All of the physical therapy people are fantastic. Ashley and Bonnie are awesome and do try to help, so if your loved one is here short term, it's tolerable, but you have to visit your loved one twice a day at least, and make sure the staff sees you so they know you won't let them get away with anything. Long term, forget it - don't put your loved one here! Not only will their safety be at risk, you as a visitor will be so angry you'll probably have a heart attack or stroke! THIS PLACE SUCKS! The behavior here is unacceptable, and we are seriously considering filing formal complaints with the state and with the state nursing home association as well. read more

Nobody ever had a straight answer for my family regarding what was happening on a day to day basis. My grandma had bed sores from laying in a dirty bed for days.
