I've unfortunately had to bring my 15 year old car to this shop twice in the past year…read more Fortunately, both times Brian has kept me updated with timely communication, and given me detailed estimates for required and "optional" work. If there is a problem with a repair or part, they gladly will fix it to your approval. No one loves spending thousands of dollars on repairs, but I've felt this shop is fair and honest with their work.

Almost 2 weeks for what was proposed as a 2 day job. Halfway through the 2 week wait, I was told they had a lot of other cars & big jobs ahead of me. Is it possible to hire more technicians at this facility? After running their diagnostic test, I was told I needed a new fuel pump and a new fuel filter because my car was not priming properly upon startup. I believe this, because prior to dropping off my car, I did notice a 30 second delay before my car would turn over.I did have a new battery installed but that was unrelated. Eddie told me when I picked up my car on Jan13 that the new fuel pump& fuel filter "had fixed the problem... They had "repeatedly test started my car several times, it primed correctly within 3-5 seconds and I would have no further problems. But if I did, then call them & they'd look at it again to fix it at no cost to me." They also told me I needed a new serpentine belt, & they installed a new one. Eddie said on Jan13 that they had "test driven the car, and "the new belt was working great" & that "I would have no problems with the belt either". Not true. The new belt has continued to squeal loudly when I start the car, and at other times when I stop at a stoplight or stop sign. I am very disappointed. It makes me wonder, did they actually put in the 3 new parts? And if so, what was the quality of those parts? Were they OE? I notified this shop the very day I picked up my car on Jan13 (after I noticed the problems & issues driving home). I have also called several times since then. I was told they are still backed up with other customers cars. I did schedule another appointment to take my car back to this shop on Jan 28. Hopefully the problems will be rectified immediately and at no cost to me as promised in my warranty. I was hoping perhaps a different technician (not Alan) could take a look at my car and do the repairs or adjustments needed since it appears he (Alan) initially did not do them correctly. However, when I spoke to Eddie,he (Eddie) stated that is not an option for me... that Alan (the initial tech) needs to be the tech to do the followup. Is this standard procedure? Please advise. Thank you!

I have been using Firestone for years, and despite a few hiccups...trusted them. I had a dive…read moretrip planned to San Carlos Mexico, so I took time off work to make sure my car was ready for the trip. I made an appointment on July 10th @1300 to get my car checked. I arrived, was waited on and sat for two hours waiting for my car. Josh came over at about 1530 and told me my car was all good. I said "really?...the battery was checked, hoses etc"? (I noted my car was sitting where I could see it almost the whole time I was waiting...) Yep all checked, and good to go -I was told. I asked Josh what I owed....nothing. Also no paperwork to show what had been done. I trust the car professionals to do the right thing. My battery died in Mexico, and when the lovely people at Autozone in Guayamas popped the cover off my battery, the enclosed pictures are what I saw. I was FURIOUS. On what planet is THAT BATTERY in acceptable condition. I get back from Mexico and go to Firestone to ask WTF. Josh was there and I showed him the photos, and watched him tap dance around their procedures. I said " My concern...Josh...is either some one did not check the battery at all, and I was lied to, or there is a service person who is quite inept at his or her job. This was not a mistake........this was a decision" Josh finally acknowledged the battery was not in good working order....and....offered me .....a free oil change my next visit. A free oil change. There will be no next visit. My relationship with Firestone has gone bad....just like the battery they said was good to go.
