Lunch buffet

Why all the bad reviews?! We had such a great and filling lunch for 14.99!! Pleasantly surprised by how good the food was here. I love Indian food. We drove by here many times but never actually went inside. The place is sort easy to miss. And hard to figure out if they are open or not due to the dark windows. We came here for the AYCE lunch buffet and there was a bunch of different things including butter chicken, tendori chicken, rice, etc. They make the nann for you on the side and the nann was SO good!!! Super fluffy and yummy to dip in that curry! Very impressed with how much flavor the curries here had. We left extremely full and for the price of $14.99 this is definitely a great spot. The only thing is the weak AC on a hot day eating that spicy curry. But something not a deal breaker for us.

One of the best options around for a decent Indian/Pakistani cuisine at a fair price. Barochi and Karachi Dhaba curries are actually pretty good, and in fact deserve solid 5 Stars. Rest of the menu options are average or above average

Chicken Biryani & Chicken Tikka Masala
Ammarah A.

I used to visit here a lot when they newly opened for the weekend buffet and to dine in on weekdays. I stopped eating here when they started preparing the food in the morning or afternoon and reheating it when ordered. Additionally, the ratings on this restaurant went down, too, so I didn't think about dining here again. But I realized yesterday that them preparing the food in advance is not a bad thing! I had previously ordered the Chicken 65, Goat Masala, Palak Paneer, Chicken Biryani & Naan. All were tasty, but the Chicken 65 was soggy because it wasn't fresh that day. Yesterday, I ordered the Chicken Biryani, Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Samosa, and Naan. The food came out quickly and was hot. I enjoyed the Biryani here more than other places because the Masala (flavor) was saturated in the rice, and the rice itself was warm and melted in my mouth. The Chicken Tikka Masala had thicker cut boneless chicken and did get a little dry, but you can simply add the gravy to it to add flavor and moisture. The Naan was made fresh to order. and they added butter to it without asking. It was so soft and Fluffy that I couldn't stop eating it. Overall, the service was great, and the lady at their front was taking care of everything herself. From answering phones, taking orders, and serving guests, I commend her for that. When we were paying, she even offered us to sample the Gajar Halwa and Kheer (so good!), but we were stuffed and couldn't order it. It was very refreshing coming here after such a long time and receiving good service and delicious food! InShaAllah, I'll be back again!

Chicken Tikka Masala

I like the food here. I've only eaten here once. The only reason they lose one star is the chicken was a bit dry...a bit. But the flavor was fantastic and I'm a frequent Indian food devourer. I had naan which was delicious. And chicken tikka masala. The person serving it to me was attentive. He gave me salad with yogurt sauce and I love that yogurt sauce. Overall it was food. I had a good experience and I seemed to just miss the buffet so I'll go back and try the buffet.

Since Yemeni coffee and tea options aren't common for everyone, they take the time to explain the menu and answer questions, which I really appreciated. However, the Adeni Chai was the only saving grace of the visit. It was flavorful and well made, but the coffee was a massive disappointment. I tried the Jubani after the staff described it as a delicious light-roasted coffee packed with caffeine, but in reality, it tasted like bland cardamom water with absolutely no coffee flavor or body. It felt like I was just drinking hot spiced water. The atmosphere was also a major issue as there was no seating available whatsoever. The crowd was mostly of Middle Eastern descent and many were incredibly rude; people will bump right into you and not say a word. Even worse was the way some customers spoke to the workers, it was absolutely deplorable. Honestly, who raised you? It was uncomfortable to witness. The dessert selection was even worse. Most of what we ordered felt stale and old. The only thing worth eating was the bubble dessert with cheese because they actually toast it. We tried both the pistachio milk cake and the pistachio dream cake, and neither was impressive. The khattafi in the pistachio dream was the biggest letdown; it was so stale and bland I can't believe they actually put it out to sell when it was clearly weeks if not months old. The basboosa was also a disappointment, as it was a very small square of semolina cake for almost $5. Overall, It is not a good place for coffee or desserts, so if you do go, stick strictly to the Adeni chai.

The place was packed with a lot of people enjoying their evenings with their families and friends, so that was nice to see. After waiting in line for less than 5 minutes the staff took our order. It came in two cups without dairy but I feel like adding cream would have made it more viscous. We didn't find a table to sit at as it was busy but found a bench to share space. Everyone was super chill and we even were given extra almond oat milk to add. I didn't finish the whole cup but it was a memorable experience.

The Paneer Tikka Roll is my personal favourite , the paneer is incredibly fresh, soft, and perfectly spiced every single time. We have been loyal customers since Lahore Restaurant has opened and are grateful for having a local…read morePakistani restaurant with good quality food. It's unfortunate that I have to post this as I feel despite us voicing our concern (multiple times) in person with the staff and also on the phone when ordering take out, the staff is not trained and do not take certain dietary restrictions seriously such as food allergies. After having a child who suffers from peanut and egg allergies, whenever we have dined or ordered from here as of lately, we have politely asked for certain food not to be served together and prepared properly. After expressing this, the staffs answer is rude and with an attitude and us being told "ok i'll just put it in a separate plate" after it being cross contaminated and served. Then during a take out order when we called to alert that there is an allergy, to please ensure the food is properly handled and packed separately from egg-containing items, we were told (specifically by Jaspreet) it is already prepared and packed, so the best that can be done is taken out and packed separately instead of adhering to the urgency of the matter and re-preparing the food. Our child broke out in hives due to their negligence in the past and I fear that their inefficiency to understand the seriousness of this matter will one day result in legal action being taken against this establishment if God forbid someone else has a reaction or worse a Fatality. My post isn't intended towards the quality of the food, it is more so to be heard and create awareness on this matter as it seems this establishment can care less towards your health needs. Update: We were contacted by ownership (Ishrath) and accused of being in the wrong and were met with disrespect and advised not to come to this establishment anymore as they cannot meet our "crazy demands." We should have been heard out, which was explained to co-ownership (Sobia) a few minutes after my review was posted, that this wasn't a personal jab towards the establishment however has happened to us on multiple accounts, specifically from staff member Jaspreet the past two times in a matter of two weeks. There was no apology on the matter, just defensiveness in a "sweet tone." This is more so a validation that despite us voicing our concerns multiple times in person, it has fallen on deaf ears and it is unfortunate that we have had to go to such extremes as posting this to be heard. Since my post, we see the attempt to have our post buried, and quite frankly hope it made a difference, albeit they have lost our business however we know the restaurant will still thrive. Still wishing them the best of luck and hopefully prevents any future consequence on this matter.

Lahore is a Pakistani restaurant which is honestly not common to come across (compared to Indian restaurants). The interior is nicely decorated and we were seated immediately. We got 2 appetizers, Aloo Papri Chaat and Gol Gappay. The Aloo Papri Chaat was cold, loaded with textures and flavors, and even some slight sweetness. It was enjoyable but not sure I would gravitate to this again. The Gol Gappay was beautifully presented with a similar flavor profile to the Aloo Papri Chaat. It's great for sharing and more of a playful appetizer. I've never had Karahi before and although maybe not the traditional version, we opted for the White Chicken Karahi. It was mild, savory and creamy. It took ~30 minutes to prepare as the menu states and they don't skimp out on the chicken. For the price point, I would say the portion is reasonable. The chicken was tender, buttery, and aromatic. My only complaint is that it wasn't served with anything so we had to add some Basmati Rice and Tandoori Roti on our own dime. I think it should come with at least one complimentary side dish considering it's an entree. We ended with a Kashmiri Chai. It's a pink-hued tea that actually gets its color from the chemical reaction between the green tea & baking soda. All this time, I thought it was rose! It was garnished with pistachios and had hints of cardamom and cinnamon spices which I enjoyed. Good try overall!

Everything was delicious, but I'll leave the food writing to the Yelpers with more sophisticated palates than I. (Actually, I take that back--the fresh-baked pita was amazing and I would eat it with/for every meal if I could.) The real reason I wanted to leave a review the service, which went above and beyond. Let me start by saying that Al Basha takeout has a wonderfully efficient order-number-based system for managing the hundreds of orders they get on a daily basis. But if, say, the person who placed the order sent you to pick up the food with the wrong order number, you're going to struggle, and that's not the restaurant's fault. With that prelude and without getting into the details, we'll just say there was a user error issue with my order that led to a mix-up and a very late pick-up. Everyone from the Al Basha staff with whom I interacted could not have handled it any better. They were very apologetic, not because they did anything wrong (to be clear, they didn't), but because they were disappointed our meal hadn't gone well and wanted to fix that. The top priority of the manager with whom I dealt was making sure that my wife--it was Mothers' Day--got the best meal possible, and made sure to send me home with fresh bread and a treat for the moms. It was true hospitality, and greatly appreciated. TLDR version: great food, excellent service, out-of-this-world pita, and make darned sure you have the right order number.

The quzi is lamb shank with rice and comes with either bean or okra soup. I liked the okra soup better since it had some acidity from the tomatoes.
