They have options to go for the mild choice if you can't do spice. This restaurant is situated within downtown Montclair - which is such a charming shopping block. We ordered: - honey chili lotus - saffron butter crab (generous portion size of crab)! - goat cheese naan - Goan fish curry Every dish was so good! The highlight was the saffron butter crab - that umami flavor was insane. The honey lotus was crispy and packed with flavor. The Goan fish curry was satisfying and not spicy at all which we both appreciated. I also enjoyed the 3 complimentary sauces on the table - none of them were too spicy. I highly recommend this place! The service was great as well.

The space itself is on the smaller side, but it is intimate, warm, and always buzzing. The staff is incredibly attentive and welcoming, making you feel taken care of from the moment you enter. Parking is street based, but there's a garage right across, and honestly, the area is very walkable so it's not a hassle to find street parking. They kick things off with a complimentary appetizer (crispy chips with dipping sauce); I ate before the phone -oops! The mango lassi is not your typical thick, yogurt heavy version, and the one here is lighter, smoother, almost like a refreshing mango smoothie - also not pictured, big oops! Why I LOVE the place after the first visit: the curries (ordered the paneer and chickpea)!! Unlike many Indian restaurants where dishes can feel overly heavy or leave you feeling weighed down, the curries here are light yet incredibly aromatic and full of flavor. You get all the richness of the ingredients and spices without that post meal sluggishness. Rice comes complimentary with the curry (always a win), and the naan is a must order. Both the garlic and butter naan were packed with flavor-- went very well with the curries! Note: It does lean a bit on the pricier side, but the quality, freshness, and dining experience make it worth it. Definitely a spot I'd come back to again to try other things on the menu.

Definitely a standout starter. For our entrees, we ordered the Kokam Branzino and Shrimp Gassi, both served with basmati rice, and they were absolutely divine. The branzino was beautifully cooked with bright, balanced flavors, and the shrimp gassi was rich, comforting, and deeply satisfying. The ambiance was nice--warm and inviting--and while the service was okay, the food truly stole the show. This is the kind of place you return to for the flavors alone, and we'd happily go back again just for the meal.

It's BYOB but they have some very creative drinks - you will find pictures of those here Probably the best part is the drinks even though Mon alcoholic We tried Anarkali , Passion Project , Mango cooler and a drink where the fibre melts away with fire like wow For starters we tried a bunch The Rawalpindi chaat looked interesting and was tasty, the paneer PinWheels , the Kale Pakoda and the chicken croquettes were all good So lot of variety to choose from On the meat side, -- We tried the Kohlapuri chicken and Methi chicken for entrees , which had a nice kick without overwhelming the other flavors. For vegetarian options, the paneer tikka was smoky and well-charred, and the saag was creamy without losing that earthy greens flavor. The Jackfruit curry was a nice try and well-spiced -- simple done right. We also loved the fusion touches. Portions were generous, the naan was fresh and hot, and the service was attentive throughout. A great mix of authentic flavor and creative twists -- highly recommend for a night out in Montclair.
