Okay... I wish I can give them a 5 stars, but it's not quite there yet. First of all, they are the cheapest among few companies I had compared with. And, importantly, they are carrying the Bradford White which supposingly to be more reliable. However, what fell apart for me are the empty promises. Alot of reviews have great feedback about the owner, and that's kinda led me toward selecting them. When I spoke to the owner, he said he will swing by after his guys finished the work, but he never did. I also asked for the invoice in case anything wrong with it, and he said he would provide me when he got home, and again he never did. I believe keeping good trust and relationship in service business is extremely important. Dependable Water Heaters fell short for me on this one. read more

I couldn't get the pilot to light on my 17 yr old water heater. Adrien came right out, thinking to replace the unit. He got the pilot on or at least showed me the pilot was on (sometimes can be hard to tell in the day) so charged me nothing for his trouble. I called Adrian on a Sunday afternoon with my water heater's pilot light not lighting. He walked me through some troubleshooting items but it still would not light. Adrian is the best.  Having a water heater problem in winter is not fun. I was so overwhelmed to call around and search online whether I can light it up again etc..  Finally I got a referral from a friend who just replaced their heater recently through Adrian.  I called and he at once asked me the model number, brand information etc.  Blur me... He reminded me that actually my heater is still under warranty.  After that, everything went smooth.  Adrian guided me through how to get the help from the warranty service. Then the part arrived and I called Adrian. His folk David, wonderful guy, came right away (within 1 hour after my part arrived). Boom. the problem was fixed without dragging at all. Usually when looking at reviews, I don't just look at how many stars but also at the star distribution as well as the worst rated reviews. When my old water heater was leaking water, I had to find someone to replace it fast. I found Dependable Water Heaters on Yelp and could not believe how great the reviews looked. Given that water was leaking really bad I had to find someone to replace the water heater asap. I'm happy to let everyone know that the reviews are true! I texted Adrian and we promptly worked out a time the next day for a very reasonable price. He was very patient and answered all my questions. The next day he arrived on time, not a minute late. He was even better to deal with in person and truely loves his work. An hour later, my water crisis was resolved. The work was awesome, I could get back to my normal life and all was good. If all companies can operate like like Dependable Water Heaters we wouldn't need Yelp. This is as good as it gets. read more

Anything you hear about Dependable Water Heaters is not good enough. Adrian is the embodiment of customer care! We recently came home to a serious, wet mess with our old water heater. I called Dependable after looking up reviews on Yelp. I'm very glad I did. After sending a few photos for Adrian to review, he said he would open up some time the following day to do an estimate. He arrived exactly when he said and even texted us to to let us know he was on his way. At first, the scenario didn't look too good. But, after poking around and assessing the situation, Adrian was able to remove and replace our entire water heater, connecting pipes, hoses, braces, etc. in about an hour or so! We were shocked at how quickly he was able to get it all done for us. We had hot water 20 minutes later! If you ever need help with your water heater, do yourself a favor and call Adrian. He gave me his honest opinion for my particular situation: old water heater in its last leg of its life so should I put in $145 for a minor fix or replace? We noticed that hot water was not coming out of the faucet this evening. It was already after-hours, and our gas water heater is 10 years old, so we thought that our water heater may have died and started thinking that we may have to pay big bucks for a replacement unit. Then, we called Dependable Water Heaters. A gentleman picked up the phone right away. He started troubleshooting over the phone by asking us a set of questions regarding the state of the unit. It turned out that the water heater was shut off somehow (possibly due to the repair work that is going on in the basement). He explained the steps to turn it back on and now the unit is working again. We asked how much we owe him, and he didn't even ask for the payment! We really appreciated his help. Adrian was on the phone with me for nearly 1/2 hour walking me through a few diagnostic steps and looking up the age of my water heater (10yrs).
