If you are skimming reviews, I'll just say that Dependable Water Heaters is an excellent service. For a little more background, if you're like me, you might take your water heater for granted, expecting it to just keep on working--day in and day out. When the water from the hot tap keeps running cold, it catches my attention. I had a water heater that I was expecting more life out of from our home remodeling project years ago. I don't recall the warranty period, but it was probably past it. I checked Yelp and came across Dependable Water Heaters. I liked what I read in the reviews, so I decided to try them. And boy, am I glad I did. Here's what I found: Adrian diagnosed the issue and instantly conveyed that he knew exactly what he was talking about. He replaced the heater and expertly placed it into a relatively tight water heater closet. About a half hour later, we had hot water. Before he left, Adrian advised me about the importance of flushing the heater tank out once a year and showed me exactly how to do it. Fast-forward a year, and I remembered to flush the tank. The problem was that I forgot Adrian's directions. Seeing how I was dealing with natural gas and hot water, I thought I better give Adrian a call. Not only did he answer the call immediately, but he was gracious in walking me through the directions again. Oh, and a year or two later, I found myself calling Adrian again because there was no hot water one day. He quickly diagnosed that the pilot needed to be restarted. He also cautioned that I needed to do exactly what he said for fear of causing an unintended explosion if I didn't. Listening extra carefully to Adrian's guidance, we again had hot water. They were amazingly honest and great to work with! Another plumber had lied to me about the age of my water heater, telling me it was over 20 years old. He looked up the water heaters' serial number on the manufacturers website and found it was less than 12 years old at most and told me it was rated for 15-18 years. I still had a broken hot water recirculator that I needed replaced. I had bought one that I liked and he spent the time to help me make sure it worked for my setup and offered a good price for getting it replaced. When I mentioned one of the valves for my water heater also needed replacing he was like "oh well I'm there anyway, I can do it for maybe $5?". For the record another guy quoted me $475 to get that replaced. Would highly recommend and will be using him again in the future! read more

This is a 5 star review I should have posted twice. Once for me and once for my parent's water heater that Adrian replaced a year ago. 2021 Adrian skillfully efficiently replaced our water heater. Then when my parent's water heater started acting up in March 2023, we called Adrian. Adrian diagnosed the issue to a failed control panel/circuit board had and that he could source & replace just the board - thus saving my parents $$$ on a new tank. But because my parent's water heater was already ~11-12 years old & it was a hassle to get to the water heater, my parents decided to replace it with a like unit (size & performance wise) for peace of mind. We appreciated Adrian's honesty and explaining the option of remediating the failed circuit board. Adrian was great and my father enjoyed talking with Adrian while he expertly swapped out their water heater.
