From the initial inquiry until the moving truck left, Dependable Movers made our big day a breeze! Gulia was super helpful and responsive to all our needs. Frank, Sergei, and Anvar were fantastic and professional! They made sure all our furniture and fragile items were wrapped/delivered carefully. Although it took longer than we anticipated due to having to make two trips because we had a couple larger flatscreens and a glass dining set, I felt the movers had our interest as a priority in making sure nothing would be damaged. I would definitely recommend Dependable Movers and use them again in the future. Their rates are reasonable - worth every penny! read more

Gulia was quick, clear and fair when getting the quote. Baur and peter did the move efficiently and quickly in 4 hrs flat! Great service from dependable movers. Highly recommend them. read more

Aidyn and Frank were the dream team. They showed up on time, were professional, efficient and polite, and did a great job! They helped us move all of our stuff out of our apartment and up three flights of stairs--all with the best attitude. We'd gladly hire them again! read more

I'm so glad we went with Dependable Movers with our latest move from San Francisco to Bellevue, WA. They did a direct move in a day and a half and our stuff got there in one piece. The guys were very diligent about packing up our 2br/1ba apartment. They were responsive every step of the way, including getting lots of insurance docs for our HOA for moving out, and answering calls and questions I had regarding the delivery. No items were broken during the move. They stayed up late with us to make sure everything was unloaded. All were professional and pleasant to interact with. We had an overall great experience and would hire them. A few reasons for -1 star: - The insurance documents took a longer than I expected (1 week since asking for it. One document was missed the first time in our long email thread and it took the insurance co a few days to get back to her), and I had to check in a few times because I was nervous it would fall through since our HOA is pretty stringent on requirements. I would have liked more proactive reassurance on their end. - Edit: we found them! We've unpacked all the boxes and couldn't find some of our photo blocks. Not a big deal; everything else got here and no damage, but we are stumped where those are. - The drivers underestimated the duration of the drive from SF to WA, mostly due to the truck -- the hills made it much slower than expected. Again, would have liked proactive outreach here to let us know, rather than us calling a couple of times to ask how long they would be. The initial estimate was delivery during the 2nd half of Sunday. I checked in at 4:30pm and they said around 8pm. I called around 9pm and they didn't arrive until 10:20pm due to the hills. But they stayed up with us until 3am to unload everything, so we really appreciated their stamina and hard work. Overall, would definitely work with again. read more

These movers were fantastic--by far the best movers I've ever had. We hired three for a one bedroom--but with probably twice the amount of belongings, and unfortunately for them there were three flights of steep stairs at our destination apartment. So it was quite a labor intensive move. Nevertheless, they handled all our belongings with care, no nicks or scratches, and even were in good spirits despite the difficult work. In short, I'd highly recommend this company if you're looking for a great moving experience. read more

Great experience! Max and Sergey were careful and efficient with the loading process. Our furniture was protected and wrapped with supplies that they brought. All in all, two rooms of furniture and three flights of stairs loaded in about 2-2.5 hrs. Tha k's again, Max, Sergey, and Gulia! read more

Hired them for a quick move between SF and the east bay. Quote process was quick, painless, and ultimately accurate. It was a small move (1-BR apt) but tricky with stairs at both the old and new place. The crew of 3 had no issues with heavy furniture and awkward staircases. They made good time getting from the old place to the new place, and no items were damaged in the least bit during the move (nor was either apartment.) By far the easiest and most pleasant move I've had in 4 small apartment moves over 10 years. read more

Frank and Peter showed up on time and wearing masks. They were super friendly and efficient. I honestly didn't have to lift a finger, so this move was much easier than I expected! They were very careful and meticulous and made me feel at ease. Also, scheduling was very convenient and transparent. I would highly recommend them!!! read more

So first off , I get a quote ok so 1000 was the first initiated quote , then they added another person to the moving job ok fair enough , then they said it would cost 1500 cause of the 3rd mover , mind you that's fine too , mind you I live in a one bedroom 874 sq ft apt , moving a couch 2 tv and a bed frame and 2 nightstands , they were taking their sweet time they were smoking on the job with my belongings in an out of the truck, packing up old cracker and cereal boxes , wasting tremendous amounts of time we had already told the lady that was on the phone with me previously that first quoted me that I was on a budget and I didn't have more than 1500 that was max , and she said no no it's only 1000 for 6 hours , so after they dicked around the whole time and couldn't get my furniture over across the street I lives literally walking distance and it took nine hours. I didn't have that much stuff they were playing games the whole time then after the job was done of course we appreciate it and we are glad that the stuff is moved but we were charged $2800. Then was pushing for a tip knowing we didn't have more than 1500 so I don't understand why we were charge that much but yeah I don't go through with these guys. They will play games and misquote you. So now I am unwrapping and I'm boxing a bunch of boxes that have empty cereal boxes. Thank you very fucking much. read more

We used Dependable Movers to help us with professional packing and POD loading for a cross country move. First off, Ethan at the main office was excellent - very knowledge, professional, communicated well every step of the way and was very responsive and flexible (even with our last minute, 'day of' scheduling changes). The crew that helped us pack & load was excellent as well - they arrived and got right down to business and were very efficient with the time, and knew how to configure the POD to maximize the space and get all our things loaded. Highly recommend! read more

Truly a flawless move with the help of our movers (Bauer, Armand, and Aidyn). They showed up on time, and from the start, they made sure we felt taken care of and reassured us we could relax while they did all the heavy lifting. We were moving from the East Bay back to the SF Peninsula and had a fair amount of heavy boxes and furniture, so it was a mixture of long commute time and long labor. Yet they always had good attitudes and worked tirelessly. All of our furniture was well-packed and cushioned (wrapped, cloth and tape), so nothing was damaged. On the way to our next destination, their truck had to stop for gas and repairs, which delayed their arrival for an hour, but they were honest guys-- they did not charge us for their added time in transit. They were incredibly mindful of our new carpet and willing to work with any of our small requests. All in all, these three guys were extremely hardworking and had strong integrity and honesty, which is hard to find nowadays! Definitely recommend Dependable Movers, and make sure to ask for Baur, Armand and Aidyn! read more

We were very happy with Dependable Movers! Our movers, Andrey, Ali, Petr I, and Aidyn, got through a massive pack & move job from San Francisco to a house in Oakland in a single day. They were hardworking and courteous. As a bonus, they gave us advice on how to soothe our screaming baby. :) read more

It was Easter Sunday and the Dependable Movers arrived on time and were very efficient and professional. The apartment we moved from was up one floor, tight turns and no elevator. The apartment we moved to was up three floors (45 steps to be exact)! Aydan and Frank (I hope I remembered his name) worked tirelessly, with very positive attitudes. From the initial call with Gulia, to her detailed follow-up, I knew this company would provide good service. I was right! The move went smoothly and quickly. My original estimate turned out to be spot on. The guys even broke down a large armoire for me at no extra charge. During these crazy times, the stress of moving can be impossible. However, Dependable Movers made it super stress free. I found them on Yelp and all their 5-star reviews are the real deal! Not psyched to move again, but if I do, they will be my first call. read more

Above and beyond service and great professional attitude!! This was my first big move, and I didn't know what to expect. This was a somewhat complicated three city move with lots of antiques. It couldn't have gone any smoother. Dealing with Dependable Movers was great from beginning to end. Frank was great to work with on the contracting side, terms were clean and reasonable. And, the moving crew was conscience, efficient and super nice. On top of everything else, my final cost was under budget by several hundred dollars!!! Five stars all the way, guys! I'm pleased to be your reference. read more

Dependable Movers SF - Our amazing mover foreman. Nicest guy, ever!! - Movers Near Me - San Francisco, California

Great work from Sergey & Sergey, very professional, arrived on time, took great care on all items, disassembling and re-assembling the items that needed to. You can pay via cash or venmo for a discount on the hourly rate. The move took longer than planned, but the estimation I gave was wrong on my side (and one of the 2 elevator broken didn't help). Highly recommend them. Booking was easy and flexible, great communication from Ethan during the booking (for the insurance, etc.), the day before (for the reminder) and on the day of the moving before the arrival. read more

Sergey, Sergey, and Baur did a fantastic job moving my apartment! Nick, Sergey, and Sergey did a full service move for us from San Francisco up to Seattle and they did a great job! They did a four person packing job with three people because someone was sick at the last minute, but still got everything done within the quoted time. Moving in was also relatively fast and smooth, even though they only had two people for that part (only two people fit in the truck for the drive north). Our stuff was well packed and arrived in good condition. We had gotten a quote for a similar move the year before (but postponed because of Covid) that was much lower than the estimate they gave us this time around. When I pointed this out, the manager Gulia was really great about working with us to get the price closer to the lower quote. Dependable Movers was also able to accomodate us changing our move-in date and storing our stuff for a few days before moving up to Seattle. This was our second time using Dependable Movers, and I'd highly recommend them! read more

These movers were amazing! Very friendly and so efficient. All our furniture was carefully wrapped. Not a scratch. But the best part of all was that they managed to get out large 82 inch couch up a very narrow winding staircase. We thought we were going to have to give up and sell the couch, but wow! It was one of the most impressive human feats we've ever seen! 100% recommend this crew. Totally worth it. read more

Have you ever, truly, had a blast when you moved? I did! With Dan, the crew lead, Sergei, and Ali. They arrived ahead of schedule, were efficient, careful, worked very hard the entire time, and beyond--of course--as every other reviewer has so enthusiastically stated. I am attesting to their kindness, humanity, and enthusiasm for life! My move was from Bay Area to Claremont. They came one morning, worked hard all day, and Dan drove practically all night to meet me at 8:30. And he was great--that says a lot. Gulia also was very patient and kind. My plans changed dramatically due to Corona. She seemed not to be fazed at all. We kept in touch over the months until finally time. From the time the person came to do the estimate until I waved good-bye to Dan, was superb interactions and experience. read more

The Dependable team of Andrei and Andrei, Islam, and Alex (their leader) moved our 3 bedroom house contents in the East Bay to our new 3 BR flat in SF. They worked tirelessly and efficiently without complaint. We had glass fronted cabinets, art work, pottery, etc. and nothing was broken. They showed a high degree of professionalism and enthusiasm. Cost was very reasonable and competitive with other local movers. The estimation process was seamless and efficient, and the final price very close to our estimate. The house we moved from was on a lane so steep that the truck could not go up it. They portaged and dollied everything down the lane to the road without complaint- they didn't miss a beat. We would enthusiastically recommend Dependable to anyone making a move in the Bay Area. We plan to use them in the future if (the Gods forbid!) we ever move again. read more

Moving is 100% of the time a stressful and exhausting process, particularly when you are moving with a spouse or family. Baur and his team of movers made it as easy as possible. I began communication with Gulia via Yelp about a week or so in advance of the move when she provided a quote for 2 movers. My husband and I had a great deal of antique furniture pieces and fragile stemware that we also needed special care packing. I asked about furniture disassembly and assembly, wardrobe loaners, you name it. Whatever time of day it was, Gulia got back to me within the hour -- usually less time than that. The answers were thorough, clear, and she did a great job to quell my concerns. In time she suggested we add an extra mover for $25/hour extra to help with all the extra stuff, which my husband and I agreed was a good idea. We didn't have time to pack a lot of our stuff due to travel, work and our move date being immediately after Thanksgiving. What I appreciated so much and cannot stress the importance enough is how communicative the entire team was throughout the move! Gulia sent a Google calendar invite as soon as we scheduled the move. Then she messaged me the night before to confirm again. And then Baur, the foreman whose name/number Gulia had provided, called me 40 min before our appt to confirm they were on their way. I've moved plenty in cities like New York and it's usually just a hope and a prayer that your mover actually shows up on time, let alone calls you the morning of. So this was really well done. The move itself was handled impeccably. Upon arrival, Baur told me he brought an extra guy to help but we would still be charged for 3 guys, as agreed. Hey, suits me! Because we basically had the entire kitchen left to pack and a lot of our closets, it took a while -- even with 4 guys! The guys took 2 five-minute breaks (which were actually only 5 min) and a 1-hour lunch between packing up one place and unloading at the next. They stopped the clock and started back right on the dot. And every one of the guys on Baur's team was there to work but they were also so accommodating and just generally nice. No rolling eyes, huffing and puffing, complaining, nothing. They did what we asked, moved quickly and everything came out perfectly. When we realized we had a dishwasher full of dishes left to pack, my husband and I panicked, but they handled it calmly and even calmed us down by telling us it was okay and they'd handle it (thanks!) The move took longer than we expected but only b/c we underestimated how much work there was to be done. When I unpacked the boxes, I saw everything was carefully packaged and all the furniture was damage-free. A small thing to note that I appreciated as well is that Baur took the time to communicate and interact with me and remembered my name throughout the day. Given that I made the booking, this is expected, but I so often find that people automatically default to speaking and interacting with my husband because he's "the man," but, like, it's 2019? So, thanks, for the professionalism! When the team left, my husband and I agreed that Dependable Movers were the best movers we had ever used, and our day could have been so much more stressful. Moving in SF is not cheap, but Dependable Movers provides the absolute best value for your buck. We will recommend them to all our friends and definitely use their service again. read more

So glad I called dependable movers! I started moving myself thinking I have 2 weeks to do this, no big deal... after a couple days and a few car loads I looked around at all the big heavy furniture and everything else I still had to go and realized no shot I could get it done... i needed pros. I called and scheduled movers only 5 days in advance, thankfully they could help on short notice! Sergey, Sergey (yes 2 sergeys!) and Constantine arrived at 9 am, and those powerhouses not only helped me pack but got everything out of my place and into the next place in just under the estimated time! These guys were working hard and were incredibly nice. Can't thank them enough for their help! Definitely recommend them for any future moves. read more

I've moved about 7 times using a moving company. Dependable was a referral since they also come the day before the actual move to pack everything. Our home was a nightmare given the truck could not make it up the hill but they got everything out of our old house and into the new home and put all of the furniture back together. I would recommend this company to anyone who does not enjoy moving or packing as they took care of everything. Great service. read more

I cannot express how grateful I am to the guys from Dependable Movers. I was going through tough times in my personal life and moving out was extremely hard. I was going to box everything but in reality I was just sitting in the middle of my house in a big mess not knowing where to start. Justin, Vitaliy and other guy (I don't remember the name) appeared on time and were just like hurricane of energy! They started to pack everything up. They even had special boxes where they hang my clothes which made it easy to unpack. They took great care of every single item. They even wrapped my cheap ikea dishes in paper not to break it. I have a really bulky couch that they miraculously managed to get on the second floor and through the apartment door. They could not use the elevator! They made my move easy and stress less. Be very careful if you choose this mover. I called them and was impressed with the responsiveness and trusted them with my move - never again. I had gotten a quote from another company and they said I should buy insurance but Gulia Beisenova assured me they are an interstate mover and by law must have insurance and they were well covered and I did not need to buy special insurance. She also assured me they were professional and would pack the glass tops from my furniture and tvs well and I did not need to pay extra for that. She also assured me they would bring wardrobe boxes. Well they did damage and suddenly they don't have insurance to pay for the damage they caused but offered a pittance and claimed to have purchased replacement that was never delivered. Come to find out they never paid for the replacement. Supposedly the owner called and was sending a check for agreed amount - it never came. Next conversation was with a new manager who said could give less than half what owner offered. They also said because of distance delivery would not be same day but they did not tell me they were putting things in truck, would take them out of truck to use truck for others then would reload into a different truck. Be very careful before you use this company. Gulia - Of course I have all the text messages and emails and the voice mail from the owner. As there are so many I will have to spend some time to pull them into a file and then will block my address but will happily post them here for all to see to validate this review. read more

Responsive? Yes. Dependable? Not sure. Professional? Nope. Value? Keep shopping. Did they get the job (4-person crew moving one (1!) 95" couch up three flights of stairs) done? Ok, they had to rig it up to a second story balcony, but that's what they were hired to do. After one hour explaining and pleading with the foreman that it didn't fit on the elevator, ( I already had a team try to do this two days earlier), they rigged it up. This was painful to watch. They had that sofa swinging like a pendulum next to my building. Carrying it up the stairwell seemed to go smoothly. So I was charged a premium for three hours of work for something that, if it had been run with a little professionalism (note: one of the workers put his dirty toolbox on a gray sofa), and if the movers would have listened to me and the building manager in the first place, would have taken a little over an hour. Do I have my sofa? Yep! Will I recommend this company? No way. read more
