We just bought a new house and got referred through a good friend that used Dependable movers in the past and had a great experience. initially called and spoke with Mike he was very professional and knowledgeable, he was able to quote me over the phone, after checking around with a few other movers we decided to hire Dependable movers. They arrived exactly on time and were ready to work, they did an amazing job packing all of our artwork, fragile items and furniture, once we got to the new house they made sure every box or piece of furniture went to the proper location, all three of them were extremely nice, polite and seemed like they truly care about every item they were handling. They truly are an amazing company and very affordable. I will never use a different mover. Thanks again guys you did an amazing job. read more

These guys did a great job! Moving everything carefully and wrapping up each item. Very professional and caring for my items. They put the couch and bed together perfectly read more

These guys were absolutely fantastic - and I know that's hard to believe for a moving company. We had a local move within Oakland. After accommodating us on last minute request by booking just the day before (because our other movers cancelled on us!!!), these guys arrived on time, were very polite and professional, and worked very efficiently. There were no hidden fees - the quote I received upfront, with a couple of extra fees that they were very clear about - was what I was charged in the end. Apart from a small break they took which was definitely necessary given the move took about five hours (for a 2 bedroom apartment), they worked quite rapidly without wasting any time. I have had bad moving experiences before unless you pay through the roof. This company is not very cheap, but still somewhat affordable and worth the price, given what I have experienced before in the Bay Area. I highly recommend this company. read more

Roma, Ali, Kolya were awesome. They came on time and were very quick. There were some last minute additions of large appliances that they accommodated without any hesitation. They didn't damage anything and worked through some challenge staircases both on the way out and in. read more

We had 2x Sergeys and they did a great job! Friendly, respectful of the furniture, efficient and went above and beyond to help move my elderly parents. read more

Had a move from SF to Los Gatos...from the first conversation with Frank everything was smooth. The team was very nice, showed up on time and got to work. They did everything we needed to which included basically a full pack. Price was very on par with other quotes and reasonable. It was a long day (13 hrs basically) but the three movers we had didn't complain one bit. Would def recommend the team at Dependable Movers read more

I recently moved apartments within San Francisco and had a really positive experience with Dependable Movers. On moving day, Baur and Roman showed up ten minutes early (which I totally welcomed) and got straight to work. They were fast, friendly, and followed COVID19 safety precautions. All boxes and furniture were moved promptly. They provided wardrobe boxes and very carefully wrapped my TV and computer monitor. I also have a ton of plants (big and small) and they said they could take care of them, no problem. Nothing was damaged. They also disassembled and reassembled my bed. The whole thing took 4.75 hours and never once did I feel like they were lagging or trying to slow things down to squeeze in more time. They also offer a cash discount of $10/hour which was great. Would recommend them to anyone looking to move in SF. read more

Eathan, Nizom and Avvas arrived at the agreed time, took care moving everything and they kept me updated during the day. I'd recommend them! read more

Gulia provided excellent communication throughout the booking and moving process. Dmitry and Dor (not sure of spelling) were excellent movers: I have a regrettable amount of stuff and they packed it all up and moved it in record time. I've now finished unpacking and can say that everything arrived safely. Wouldn't have been able to do it without them. read more

Olli and the crew were great. They reached out to us the morning of to see if we wanted to start earlier since they were all ready to go, which was great for our timing! After reviewing the paths in and out of the origin and destination buildings, and taking inventory of what needed to be moved, they got to work without missing a beat. The 3-person crew moved in balletic coordination with each other, prepping items in plastic wrap and blankets, carting items up and down stairs and out to the truck, and disassembling and reassembling furniture and other large items. Once we let the crew know what we wanted moved (and what we wanted to leave), and where the items should go, they forged ahead efficiently and without any need for us to coordinate too much. All this made for a fairly relaxing moving day, which was a pleasant surprise given how stressful moves are normally. We were able to focus on other to-do's on moving day while the team moved forward quickly. They managed to pack up a one-bedroom apartment in SF and move it to another part of town, while navigating narrow stairways, narrow streets, and urban parking, all within the morning. The crew was great and we would be happy to work with them again! read more

Dependable movers did a great job with moving my home and business to a new location two hours' drive away. Honestly, it was an exhausting day. These guys work hard! Part of why i chose them is because someone else commented that they were always friendly and I thought that sounds really nice to spend the day with friendly movers when I'm making such a big shift in my life. They were always calm and cheerful throughout the 12 hour day! And in the end, I am now getting to enjoy a relaxing evening in my new home. It is amazing how much happened in one day. Many thanks to Baur, Gulia, Eathan, Avvas, and Nizom for helping me make a smooth transition and taking care with my home and belongings. I am happy I chose your company! read more

Loved that the were efficient and fast - Dmitri, Sergei, and Konstantin did a great job packing everything up with care and moving things with speed. We really appreciated that they were able to finish the job faster then estimated - they came well prepared with materials to move our valuables (not a scratch on the TV) and furniture with ease. Great job- will definitely be using Dependable movers in the future! read more

These guys are great! Packed everything 100%. It was like my belongings were transported in pillows. Nothing got scratched or damaged in any way. They really paid attention to detail. Dependable Movers SF - Five of the best movers I ever worked with!! - Movers Near Me - San Francisco, California

The movers were very helpful and professional. They packed and moved my belongings without incident. This was a distance move and the price was very reasonable. I would use their services again if/when I move again. read more

I've used these guys twice now and both moves went really well. The first time was during New Years weekend and despite the holiday, they were able to accommodate everything I needed. Ethan is super helpful and knowledgeable. I highly recommend booking with him. Nothing was broken during the move and the truck they use has a ton of room. I typically have a hard time with trusting people to move my stuff, but If the time comes again that I need movers I will definitely use dependable movers again. read more

I can't say enough good things about dependable Movers. They were friendly, hard working and very respectful with our furniture and possessions. This is the first time I used movers and I definitely will use them again. Each person who worked with us made us feel very comfortable and went the extra mile...especially when i had them move furniture a couple times until I decided where I wanted to put it. Use then! read more

We had a long move day involving lots of stairs, and these guys worked tirelessly to get the job done. We we're impressed with their professionalism and communication. The only reason we can't give them five stars, is that after the rush of moving day was over, we noticed how much damage there was. Several pieces of furniture that had been wrapped by them had large dings and deep scratches. A piece of our dining room furniture actually had a chunk taken out of it. Our mattress was ripped during the move. One of our TVs arrived with dead pixels. And we had to repaint sections of our hallway and stairwell due to gouges and scratches. We've moved several times in the past 5 years and never experienced this level of damage. That being said, I've never seen a group of movers work harder. They were incredibly fair with the number of hours they charged us, and we're so polite through a tiresome moving day. read more

It was a dark and stormy morning in Oakland, and three Dependable Movers showed up to take two bedrooms over to San Francisco. Courage in their eyes and strength in their hearts, they prevailed! Breaking nothing, leaving no mug behind, and packing all of this artist's art with the utmost care. That, and they were a hoot to work with during a stressful day. Thank you for being as dependable as ever! read more

Excellent mover! Alex, Jorge and Andrew were quick, professional, friendly and thorough! I highly recommend dependable mover!!!

Update: I find it really disgusting that Gulia is now saying that they offered to pay for the movers and truck the next day which is a BLATANT LIE! When I asked her if it would be compensated there was silence for a few seconds and then she specifically said that that wouldn't be possible because she was using a different contractor to do the job as a favor for me; had I even needed another truck on the day of the actual move I would have had to pay for it anyway. So they should stop being dishonest with their customers! They lure people in by quoting a price that is lower than their competitors but ultimately by the time the job is completed you end up paying more and going through twice the headache. STAY AWAY. ********** I have moved several times in my life and have never experienced such disappointing service. I spoke with Gulia and she gave me an estimate over the phone that was way off from the actual time it took to move all my items. Also, I don't even know how this is possible, but even with the largest truck they had they could not fit all my things from a 3 bd/2 ba house, most of which were packed in boxes (my house is 1200 sq ft by the way). The movers did not even try to get us additional help by talking to management on our behalf and obviously it was too late to rent a U-haul truck that day. This necessitated my husband to take another trip back to Marin from Sacramento and hire another contractor which cost us not just time, effort, gas, wear and tear on the car but an additional $300 for his services. When I spoke to Gulia the next day she told me that sometimes this happens and while she did try to get me a couple of movers and a small truck she said that I would not be compensated for my huge inconvenience and that I would have to again pay for the move. They did not hold themselves accountable for their error at all. Yes, the movers were nice guys but at the end of the day the job was unfinished and had I needed to vacate the property right away I would have been really screwed. I cannot recommend them for that reason. read more

We hired these guys. They were great. Moved quick and efficient. Took care of our items. Followed our directions. We're honest and transparent with pricing. Will definitely hire them again when we move next. read more

I hired Dependable Movers for a local Move in San Francisco for a 1 bedroom apartment. The team I had was Max, Alex and Melvin. They were on time, professional, and extremely careful with my things. I had a bunch of fairly new furniture, and they wrapped everything in plastic and blankets and not a single thing was damaged or lost in the move. They were also able to issue me a custom COI with the high levels of insurance the building g requires. So if you are moving in to a high rise, this might be good firm for you. I would definitely hire them again. My only nit is they aren't the most responsive over email, so I occasionally had to call about a few details. read more

My move was hectic for so many reasons lots of changes but Dependable Movers were great they worked with me on the many changes that had to be made due to my home flooding! Sergey and Sergey communicated the morning of the move that they were available early and asked if it was ok to start the job sooner. We moved during the holidays and we were down to the wire with needing the support and it was amazing to work with Dependable Movers. We were looking at a few different companies and we had the best experience with Dependable Movers, starting with the call back, the estimate, and the final communications/invoices. As a busy SF couple we basically took exactly three days off to do a move within San Francisco. We cannot thank Dependable Movers enough for making our move not only possible but seamless. From being able to carefully pack all of our two bedroom townhouse(which was busting at the seams with working from home office supplies, desks, endless books, etc) to ending with an impressive fix to our coffee table that was unintentionally damaged in the move. The team was quick, professional, amazing and I cannot recommend them enough for any move close or far. They each spoke of being experienced in local and long distance moves and it was not just chatting over boxes, the experience was shown through their actions and now as we are unpacking, everything continues to be amazingly intact and well insulated. 10/10 would move with them again read more

First time hiring professional movers, I would recommend Dependable Movers and would use their services again. I moved within the city of SF. They arrived on time, were careful with furniture, and quick with moving the items and boxes. Leading up to the move, I was contacted by Carlos. He adapted to my preferences (text over email or call) and was very responsive and clear in the expectations, price breakdown, and overall agreements. Despite this being my first time hiring movers, all the guidance made it really easy. General tips: finish packing everything before the movers arrive and have an organized easy way to direct them. I had everything in two rooms (I moved alone) and it made everything go smoothly. They charge per hour (2h minimum) so this also makes the move shorter. Also basic but worth mentioning: make sure you have the keys to both places on your person at all times. Doors close, stuff happens, you don't want to be locked out. Overall very happy with the experience. Easiest move ever despite never having this much stuff. Worth the price, would recommend. read more

Decided on this company because it was reviewed well. Max, Peter, and Roman were right on time and very happy to help. Accommodations with packing and smal items I didn't have supplies for were done efficiently and very well. Thanks guys for a great experience. We have been using Dependable Movers for the last year for both personal and office business moves. Their team is always able to get us scheduled within a few days of inquiring. Thank you Dependable Movers for always making our moves a breeze. read more

Had a bad experience with Dependable Movers. The moving team did not provide any protection for the floors, stepped all over with shoes on, and smoked in the truck. They completely disregarded any respect for my place when asking to use the restroom and did not flush or wash their hands and didn't turn off lights. This is just terrible service and I would not recommend the movers. read more

These guys are AMAZING! Alex, Alvin and Konstantin were very professional. They turned up and immediately reviewed what was needed to do, then got straight to work. Their work ethic was outstanding and they made our move from SF to Oakland really smooth. They were polite and always engaged with us if they had any questions. We would definitely recommend DM especially these 3 guys. Thank you so much! read more

This company is the best for moving. We've had so many experiences, mostly negative, and Dependable Movers did everything right. They provided a 2 hour arrival window, called me before the window to give me a precise arrival time, showed up 30 minutes into the window as they said in the call. Great start! Max and Sergei executed with precision. They wrapped everything, had so much control and stability, you could tell they knew what they were doing with their equipment. We did a walk through and I called out things that were going and staying, and they double checked when they weren't sure. I saw how big the truck was and kept adding to the load. Without hesitation, they kept working, stayed 2 hours over the estimated time, assembled our fancy bed set. Even though it was late and they hadn't taken a break for anything, they concluded after 8 hours asking if there was anything else they could do for us. That is graceful! That's business. This is the movers experience where you get what you pay for. read more
