Went in this evening to pick up 3 small items I need for a trip next week. Presented them to the sales associate and was told that the first two had been priced too low. I said, "well... the law says you have to honor your price." Fine. It wasn't a big difference. Then she told me that the third item was also priced incorrectly. I repeated, nicely, "But the law says...." She told me, "I don't know if I can do that." Started arguing with me -- told me the manufacturer doesn't discount their stuff, "it's a family business!" etc. -- and I just kept repeating, "But the law." I wasn't angry or even snippy. She got increasingly wound up. Then she called her manager. By the end of the call, she was apologizing to him or her, and sold the item at the priced marked. Then she accused me of making a habit of going to stores to cheat them! "I bet you've done this before! I bet you do this kind of thing on purpose! This is just a family business!" I just waited quietly for my receipt while she continued telling me, loud enough for everyone else to hear, what a horrible person I am, implying that I'm some kind of bad person and thief. Here's my message for the store: don't blame me for your mistakes. That law exists for a reason. It's to protect customers from a business deliberately writing "$9.99" on the price tag and then telling you, "oh, it's really $19.99!" I get that mistakes are made, but you are responsible for them, not me. My family also ran a business (for decades), and this particular pricing scam was common in the industry. If we made a pricing mistake, we ate it, without saying a word to the customer. There's a new 2024 California law that forces all businesses (especially hotels, car rentals) to display the full price, including junk fees. This law applies to ALL businesses and it's proof that the problem continues. I'll shop at Stern's from now on. Thanks to fellow yelpers, I found out where the former Noble Luggage store relocated to from the Great Mall. I (finally) made it in yesterday, where I encountered the wonderful Christina! She was patient, answering all of my questions and allaying my concerns around buying new luggage after many years. She is also a great multi-tasker, effortlessly giving 1:1 attention to the many other walk-in customers as well as even taking a phone call. The store is bright, happy and has a great range of luggage and travel products from various makers. The way she explained it to me, the high-end luggage is to the immediate left when you come in (Briggs & Riley and Tumi were prominently featured). The mid-range brands (Delsey, Samsonite, Bric's) were on the right and reduced-price items were in the rear. I really appreciated how there was absolutely zero pressure to make a purchase. As a woman of color, I also am always cognizant of store personnel treatment - happy to say that I was not followed around, stalked or otherwise asked fake-nicely umpteen times if I "need anything." The interaction with Christina was genuine. As a bonus, I even enjoyed the Native American flute music playing in the background - it was very soothing. In the end, after much deliberation, I purchased a new set of soft-sided Briggs & Riley luggage. Even though it is more than I have ever paid, I have done years of research and finally decided to switch to this brand because I am the type who holds on to my things for a very long time (I am a HUGE proponent of "price-per-wear/use") and they have a lifetime warranty (which, sadly, is becoming less and less common). As a bonus, they even had the color I wanted (gorgeous navy with chrome accents). Finally, Christina even made it easy to get my luggage (though it was my fault that I misunderstood the pickup location) by wheeling it through the mall and down to the ground level where she loaded it into my car. Excellent customer service and lots of patience with me as I selected carry on luggage. It is important for you to have the right piece of luggage for carry on, United, Delta, American and Southwest all have different requirements . Always remember 9" X 14" x 22", select your luggage within these requirements and may your luggage fit the airlines space requirements. Some of the luggage they sale: Samsonite, Vitronix, Sherppa, Rimowa, Riley, etc. The first associate I worked with was Ajju (store manager), very patient and he presented 6 to 8 different sizes to look at. I purchased one carry-on luggage but when I went home it measured larger than the broken handle unit I had and measured the same I use for Europe travel. I called him up that night and asked him if I could return it for a smaller one. He said "Yes". Next day I met with Abhi and he helped me select one carry-on to my liking. I was impressed with his patience and his knowledge too. Let me tell you that Noble Luggage provides great customer service and they have a nice selection to choose from. I purchased three Briggs & Riley International carry on suitcases during the Memorial's Day weekend. The purchase was made over the telephone and received the receipt via email. The store did not have the navy blue color in stock so Ajju placed the order for the three suitcases on May 26, 2020, and I received them on May 30, 2020. Just bought the Briggs & Riley international expandable spinner bag that I had been looking at online for a while. Walked in and was warmly greeted. I really appreciated the customer service as the gentleman working today wasn't the pushy salesman type, that I've experienced at other mall luggage stores. He simply explained to me all of the features, allowed me to see all the details that I wanted to look at, and explained the price point to me (B&R lifetime warranty, etc., etc.). Based on their recommendation to my explicit needs I bought a luggage that broke under less than a year. I brought it back as part of warranty and they promised a fixed back to be sent to my house within 7-10 days. After over a month I reached out to them again asking what's going on and it took them 5 days to get the fixing company to call me and say they will send a new bag at unknown amount of time. I told them I have a flight coming so they did a very ugly fix and sent it back to the store instead to my house. When I came to pick it up the guy in the store Abhi (or something like that) found the entire situation amusing rather ten serious, was very rude and as through my entire experience with them unprofessional. There are other places giving great prices- avoid this store. read more

Through the rush of the holiday shopping, I passed by a luggage store without looking at the name of this store . I stepped in and saw the bag that my teen nephew would like. While paying for the item, I got a suspicious feeling about the item i just bought, Before I even sign the receipt, I said u know what? I like to return it. He said you cant because you just bought it. I asked why? He show is little itsy bitsy sign NoRefund. I feel with such policy, they should have verbally informed customers that they dont issue refund before ringing it up. First when I walked by Noble Luggage I really didn't think it was anything special. Looks like a small luggage place that has nothing special but a few things her and there. I was really expecting the prices to be super high compared to other luggage stores b/c the store was really nothing special, but on the contrary. Not only were there prices a bit lower then the competitors they were willing to work with me if I took it home. I had my heart set on Tumi, Rimowa and possibly samsonite. Luckily there was a Samsonite store just 5 places down in the mall. I went in there and the lady didn't know half of the questions I asked. It was frustrating so I went to Noble Luggage and she explained everything that Samsonite didn't even on there own product.
