Well let's just start by saying I was going to go to another place as I was looking for a shirt and…read morea pair of slacks, not a tuxedo however after reading a bunch of reviews on Yelp I decided to check them out. They are located behind Westgate mall where there is plenty of parking. The inside is small and they only have 2 fitting rooms. Now that is where the bad news stops seriously, that's it, they are a mom and pop place where service is priority one! They are not salespeople! They are people who listen to what you are expecting and will even under sell you if they think it's not needed "as in my case" I asked them if I should buy a blazer with my shirt & slacks? And they talked me out of it!! That's service, that's really trying to do right by you as a customers, that's integrity! BUT WAIT THERES MORE! Normally they size, fit and do the alterations all in the same day!! No that's not a typo, same day! They have an in house tailor who does tailoring for men and women and I found out that the tailor can even stitch leather, patches and jackets! Wow!! I mean wow!! Now the day I was there, the tailor had the day off, and they were very apologetic. They said that they would have everything ready for me by the next day and because I wanted my shirt fitted they told me that the tailor would measure me and adjust my shirt while I waited the next day as well. Now the next day came and I showed up, my pants and shirt were waiting for me, the pants that were measured the previous day fit me perfectly. The crazy part was that the shirt fit me perfectly too?!?! Then the lady that help me the day before said that instead of ordering the shirt that I tried on she ordered me a slim cut shirt! So she saved me money there as well because I did not need any alterations done on my shirt!! All I got to say is wow!!! They got my business for life!! If you are looking for a tuxedo and apparel to rent or to buy, a shirt, slacks and accessories, need a cool patch put on a jacket or have a dress, pants or shirts that need alterations this is your place, they WILL do right by you!!!!!x10

Instead, I was in and out in under an hour with a perfectly fitted tux. Mary was the one who helped me get everything squared away, and she was outstanding. Efficient, knowledgeable, and clearly experienced, she quickly understood exactly what I needed and made the whole process feel easy. What really stood out was that they made adjustments right there on the fly, dialing in the fit immediately instead of making me come back. The fit was spot on, the quality was excellent, and the entire experience was seamless. If you're on a tight timeline and need it done right, this is the place to go.

I remember walking in here a few months back because I needed a proper black suit since all my…read moreprevious suits are brightly colored. It was an impromptu walk-in for me at the time but the ladies at the desk helped me out and scheduled me in on the spot. They took my measurements and we spent a good hour or two picking out fabrics and they have A LOT of selections to pick from from the pattern of the fabric down to the button and type of lapels. They were very good at suggesting styles based on my preferences (I'm an easy going guy with too much time on my hands). They helped me pick out different colored shirts so I could wear my suit to different functions and the quality and of the fabrics justified the cost. Three weeks later (Yes, it does take time for a custom and tailor fitted suit to be made), my suit came in and I drove back for a test fit. Some minor alterations aside, the suit is perfect for me. Once I save up bit, I think I'll come back so I can get a second suit for more fun occasions. I highly recommend this place.

Went in this evening to pick up 3 small items I need for a…read moretrip next week. Presented them to the sales associate and was told that the first two had been priced too low. I said, "well... the law says you have to honor your price." Fine. It wasn't a big difference. Then she told me that the third item was also priced incorrectly. I repeated, nicely, "But the law says...." She told me, "I don't know if I can do that." Started arguing with me -- told me the manufacturer doesn't discount their stuff, "it's a family business!" etc. -- and I just kept repeating, "But the law." I wasn't angry or even snippy. She got increasingly wound up. Then she called her manager. By the end of the call, she was apologizing to him or her, and sold the item at the priced marked. Then she accused me of making a habit of going to stores to cheat them! "I bet you've done this before! I bet you do this kind of thing on purpose! This is just a family business!" I just waited quietly for my receipt while she continued telling me, loud enough for everyone else to hear, what a horrible person I am, implying that I'm some kind of bad person and thief. Here's my message for the store: don't blame me for your mistakes. That law exists for a reason. It's to protect customers from a business deliberately writing "$9.99" on the price tag and then telling you, "oh, it's really $19.99!" I get that mistakes are made, but you are responsible for them, not me. My family also ran a business (for decades), and this particular pricing scam was common in the industry. If we made a pricing mistake, we ate it, without saying a word to the customer. There's a new 2024 California law that forces all businesses (especially hotels, car rentals) to display the full price, including junk fees. This law applies to ALL businesses and it's proof that the problem continues. I'll shop at Stern's from now on. The guy who runs that store really knows his stuff -- and he's also really nice.

From hubby: I recently had a bespoke suit made for my wedding by Smith and Palestro. This was my…read morefirst time having a suit made from scratch, so I really didn't know anything about the process. We started the process about 9 months before the wedding. We first met with the assistant, Josie, who did a great job of talking us through the process and explaining all the differences between different types of fits, materials and over all looks that we could go with. Once the suit was made I came in for a couple different fittings to make sure that the suit was going to fit perfectly on the big day as well as to make sure the accessories that I had purchase on my own were going to match with the suit. We did have a couple of issues with the appointments. On two different occasions I was scheduled to come in for either fittings or to pick up the suit and on both occasions the owner, Ben, either no showed (sick) or cancelled at the last minute. This was a definitely a bit frustrating, however, both Ben and the other owner, Mark, were very apologetic and did go above and beyond to make it up to me. In the end, the suit came out perfect and I was extremely happy with the look that we came up with and how the suit fit. Everything from the materials, the fit and all of the fine details made the personalized suit such a difference. photo credit Love + Wolves CO

Thank you Benjamin for bringing my vision to life!…read more When searching for the perfect wedding suit I had a very specific forest green in mind that I couldn't find anywhere so I knew I had to go custom. This was my first fully tailored suit so I didn't know what to expect, but Ben went above and beyond and made the suit fit like a glove. With having broader shoulders but still wanting a tapered fit and pant, finding something to fit perfectly is impossible but Ben made it happen and was easily the highlight of the wedding. Not only did it look great, but I felt great so i could focus on enjoying my wedding and not worrying about an ill fitting suit on the biggest day of my life. Looking forward to future suits with Fashion Tailored. Thank you Ben!
