Absolutely avoid if you want an honest assessment or technician willing to work. I confirmed in advance that we wanted our sewer line cleaned to comply with our inspection during our home sale. The technician came out and said he was going to scope it first, not the service we asked for, and then told my husband repeatedly it didn't need to be cleaned. I later got an email with a recommendation for a cleaning at $1400 and a bill for $154 for scoping the line. I already have an appointment to have the line scoped after the cleaning tomorrow by the original company who scoped it. Never asked for a scope, asked for a cleaning. I've attached the communication that they could do the cleaning while in site. Really challenging when the technician said no cleaning necessary, no repairs necessary and then sends an estimate for recommended cleaning and repair. Moving on to the next company who can maybe do the work we hire for and not waste hours of our time and now days.

They've all helped me in various ways, the past few years, during both emergencies and routine maintenance. It all started in Labor Day 2021, when I had just flown here from Arlington, VA (Washington, DC), to "hug my dad for surviving COVID," as he returned home from the hospital after starting at the VA, then being at a private hospital for 5-weeks, and he was scheduled to be discharged Labor Day weekend, just as his basement sewage plumbing backed up! I was so overwhelmed. I called 1.800 Water Mitigation, to remove all the HAZMAT, then get going on the dehumidifiers, fans, and worked with USAA to re-build the entire basement thereafter, and for the stopped-up toilet, I called Hyper Flow. James helped me snake the basement toilet, and begin to explain all of home plumbing to me. That was 4-years ago. Then I began hiring Hyper Flow to slowly rebuild two upstairs toilets that my dad had perhaps not maintained as well as ideal (he was on fixed income, after all, so no judgment), as well as the two upstairs bathroom sinks, then ultimately I hired them to replace the Kitchen Sink Faucet (James did this work, as Brian was the manager, who helped me assess the problem and do the estimate). James also helped me get my Water Heater (that a different company installed, that was no up-to-code) up to code, per the retroactive Home Inspection, and James helped me install a mainline water shutoff. My house is finally in ship-shape - on plumbing, electrical, and HVAC - all thanks to Kyle, the owner of Hyper Flow. Highly recommend! FYI, they've also jetted my lateral sewage line pipes - twice - and I will be hiring them for the excavation of the line that connects to my HOA main sewage line, before it connects to the City of Denver, once that time comes. Nathan got the job done in 2 days, one of those days he was here for a full 12 hours, but it probably should have taken 3 or 4 days. Price was very good and they donate to the humane society, per their website. Would definitely work with Drain Terrier again.

So, Plumbline mis-represented that as well -- since I literally have it documented from their rep via text that they will do the diagnostic for free. All of that is highway robbery. They also wasted our workday by coming out 4 hours later than the END of the originally scheduled window of time (they did call to say they are running late). We should bill THEM for that time staying home ALL day on a workday -- instead of the planned half day. WE DO NOT recommend these guys. Seems like they are just another company that hopes folks accept an outrageous estimate because they are already in your home after accepting a $49 or Free estimate. While the technicians themselves were friendly, my overall experience with Summit was disappointing…read more-- particularly given that they had been highly recommended by a neighbor. After the fourth visit and two failed inspections, I asked to speak with the owner. He said he'd show up on the final day and didn't. Not showing up after committing to do so speaks volumes. On multiple occasions, employees attempted to -- or did -- walk through my home beyond where work was being completed with their shoes on. This is a basic courtesy that should not have needed to be addressed. On the final day, an employee complained about the time spent waiting for the inspector to arrive. After five+ weeks of doing exactly that myself, I couldn't help but laugh internally. Most importantly, Summit advertises a "100% Right or 100% Free" guarantee on their website. These are not complicated words -- 100% means 100%, and free means free. There is no secondary meaning to either. When I raised this, I was told it essentially means they will keep trying until the job is done correctly -- which is admirable in theory, but falls well short of what "100% Free" implies when a customer has invested THOUSANDS of dollars. After reading the other reviews, I'm hoping the problem with my AC wasn't just a leak somewhere that could have been fixed for much less. I would strongly encourage potential customers to clarify what that guarantee truly means before signing a contract, and to get everything in writing.
