And you would think for a dealership with a service dept on site they would diagnose and correct all of the problems before they sell the vehicles, but they don't. They either patch them up and hope you don't notice for two months or I have the worst luck in the world. The vehicle I bought myself ended up being in the shop for at least a month after I discovered it's issue. Thank God I found it a week before my warranty was up or I would have been on the hook for the $5,000 it cost to fix the problem. But it didn't come without a fight. It took the dealership two attempts to fix the vehicle. The first time they fixed the wrong thing, and when I told them I was still having the same issue they told me they weren't going to fix it. We eventually got on the same page and they took my vehicle for another two weeks and finally repaired it. For that I'm grateful. But now the vehicle I bought my grandmother had the check engine light come on. Mechanic comes out to give it a tune up and finds the spark plugs are covered in oil. Boom! It needs a new valve seals. My mechanic says "it looks like it's been this way for quite some time". I bought the car less than a year ago. Unfortunately the warranty has expired on this vehicle. So I'm on the hook for this one. I'm not saying don't buy a vehicle from this dealership. But I am telling you to take your car to a mechanic as soon as you drive it off of the lot to find any issues before your warranty expires. Because from my experience it doesn't seem to me like their service department has their customers best interests at heart.

Because of this, we were locked out of our truck on Christmas Day. This was especially frustrating since these are issues that should have been caught and handled at delivery. They wait over a month to pay off your vehicle that they bought on trade in. Making you have to make payments on a vehicle you no longer own because it's still under your credit. This then makes the payoff not cover what the original amount was due. They don't perform the smog check as they are legally required to or even give you a certificate to go have it performed. They use the excuse oh sorry it's brand new to us and we didn't get a chance. It's BS excuses. Then someone leaves their keys in the vehicle and call you and tell you to bring the keys back. Um how does your irresponsibility become our problem. They didn't give a full tank of gas plus you have to beside back there to bring someone their keys. So unprofessional. Steer clear!

Carmax usually has a service center to deal with things within the 90 day warranty- but not things like THIS. Ive been trying to work to get the tint replaced while ensuring I'm not the one paying for it because it was *THEIR* fault. Their response was "find a shop you want to go to and call us for our credit card number" *facepalm* This morning before my appointment to the tint shop I called the service shop to tell them was on my way to repair the windshield and I still have not received a return call. Luckily for them the shop I initially used (that review to come) flaked out so I have to find someone else. If it weren't for the tint fiasco I'd give a 5 star- but I'm super frustrated by this.
