My sister is newly in a wheelchair after suffering a series of mini strokes. She was scheduled a series of tests through the week. She needed a wheelchair van. We contacted Denver NEMT Ambulette. Ray was able schedule us easily. Each time he arrived exactly as scheduled and we arrived at each appointment 15 -20 minutes early, which we requested. Ray is friendly and funny and extremely competent. I went with my sister to all of her appointments, Ray made it so easy. He was able to offer her footrests for her wheelchair. Next time we need a van, we'll definitely call Denver NEMT Ambulette. I highly recommend Ray. At one point one of the tests took longer than expected, Ray was able to work around the time change. We needed to wait for a time while he was helping another client, but he kept in touch ​and arrived within his estimated time. Thank you Ray!! read more

I am a new paraplegic and currently trying out for the Paralympics shooting event. Ray was personable and mostly reliable. His vehicles were highly capable of transporting me and my wheelchair. I paid a pretty penny to have him available throughout the day and evening if I needed him. Fortunately for him, we did not require much travel accept to and from the Olympic Center and hotel On the morning of my first shoot, Ray had an argument with his girlfriend and was late taking me to the Olympic Center. Fortunately, the shooting event started late so I technically made it in time. I was a bit frazzled, but I still shot okay. All other scheduled drives were on time. His prices were a bit high, but I was satisfied with his service and I intended to use Denver Amulet for future shooting events in Colorado. Our final trip was a ride to Aspen to participate in the Veterans Winter Sports Clinic. I found on the morning of that he mis-quoted the cost of the trip to Aspen by quite a bit. Before traveling to Aspen, we looked at his laptop to confirm that the quote he provided me was actually in his system. He countered and said he would be losing money if I paid him the actual quote provided. (I am leaving out the actual dollar amounts). I reluctantly paid the additional cost, and we made it to Aspen safely. A couple times, we asked him to put the phone down while driving and he eventually complied. Ray is a great guy, and easy to speak with. He successfully took me to all my scheduled destinations. The missed quote to Aspen didn't sit well with me so I will be looking for transportation with other companies. read more

Driver was a show show! Driver and company didn't answer their phones. I scheduled a van for my mom yesterday afternoon for pickup today between 10:15-10:30. It's now after 11am and there is no way for us to get mom to her 11:20am doctor's appointment. Still haven't heard back from the company after leaving messages on both phone numbers over 30 minutes ago. So disappointed that this company made my mom miss her important doctors appointment! read more

I had eye surgery June 9th, NEMT billed my FSA June 7th. On the day of the surgery, they never showed. I called, the nurses called, about ten calls and voicemails, nothing. I had to call for an Uber. On the 11th some girl from their sent text that she had been in an accident on the day of the accident and asked that I remove my review and they would reimburse me. Guess what, no reimbursement received as of the 22nd. If you are in the market to have someone take money, not do anything, then lie to you about a reimbursement, this is the company for you. The day of ........ they didn't bother to show up. They didn't bother to answer my calls. They didn't bother to call me back and apologize. My father and I wasn't worth their trouble for anything. This is horrible and unsafe! Whatever you do, do not put your loved ones in the care of these people. The attendant showed up 15min late and took 20 min to respond for pick up. The Vehicle had no A/C and the windshield was cracked. Even worse, there were issues with the tie downs. Every time the driver took a turn my father in his wheelchair would dangerously tilt. I was very worried he might tip over and injure himself. I reported it to the owner, he gave me $30 off and made several excuses for the conditions. What a joke. read more

We called this establishment in July to see if they could transport my mother in law in Ft Collins to. Dentist appt in Denver. After a week or so PLENTY of time to cancel almost two weeks before appointment. We called and the owner Ray said sure thing I will personally refund your money gave us some so. Story about his accountant leaving him in dire straights. Two months pass and we have not seen the refund. I called again yesterday and he answered as he has avoided all emails and texts. He then tells me they have a no cancellation policy! This is 600-800!!! I can't remember just how much as it is in that range. DONOTUSE this service it is a huge rip off. Don't subject your loved ones to this!! He was a total jerk on the phone. We are not done with him just yet!! read more

Wow, I was astounded to find that there were so many wheelchair transportation companies. NEMT was my choice because one of the reviews actually mentioned the driver's name (Ray) and sang his praises. Now, having used NEMT (Denver Ambulette) I agree with that review. Ray was exceptional. He went well out of his way to make things easier for my wife and I, as he got us to DIA after I had surgery in Denver but needed to fly home. I was strapped into his van in my manual wheelchair and felt safe and secure the entire time. Perfect. I recommend him because he is prompt, courteous, kind, warm, engaging, great driver, technically knowledgeable and absolutely not afraid to go out of his way, likely at his expense, to make things easier and better for his customers. Great service! I used Handicab to transport me to a concert for my birthday while I am 100% non-weight bearing, and it was perfect. Very professional driver and seamless experience.
