Sept 15, 2025 I am writing a review specifically for the UCHealth Broomfield Hospital - Rehab…read morefloor. After spinal surgery my partner spent a week on the 3rd floor rehab unit. While she was an impatient I cannot speak highly enough of her care. Nursing, PT and OT collaborated to get my wife back on her feet - more or less - and as a retired healthcare practitioner myself, I can testify that the care provided was outstanding. The unit was immaculate and the meals were PDG if my wife's comments can be relied on. But, and you knew it was coming .... Once she was discharged the story changes. She required PT and OT after discharge to home. The case manager, Erica, handed me a list of providers, none of which satisfied both needs; PT and OT. I was expected to weed out the good from the bad and get the services set up myself. But, as it was explained to me, these services are supposed to be in place before her discharge, and when I asked the case manager to help she did next to nothing except give me a phone number I already had. So, feeling desperate for occupational therapy I contacted an OT at the Rehab unit, Fara, who expressed concern that my wife had not received the OT that was ordered. I asked her for recommendations for a private pay OT and she indicated that, as she said, "I'll circle around tomorrow and let you know what I come up with", and that was the last I heard from her, or anyone from the Rehab unit. I cannot express my disappointment in these 2 employees strongly enough. I called the nurses station a few times after that and left messages, but Erica or Fara never contacted me - My wife and I were abandoned by these bad news bears, who said they would help us and then did nothing. The fact that my wife is 81 years old only made our predicament worse. I am stunned by the collapse of professional ethics, and frankly, the lack of integrity, kindness and compassion displayed by these folks are equally disturbing. If these two were allowed to get away with such behavior, then perhaps the entire Rehab unit should be investigated for their adherence to ethical practices and the wholesome delivery of care, especially to elders who deserved much better. I smell ageism.... and it doesn't smell good.

My little guy had his tonsils and adenoids out and ear tubes put in this morning. This was a…read morewonderful experience from the second we walked in the door. The wait area is cozy with a tv (playing cartoons for the little folks), and a kuerig. The staff was friendly and helpful. The nurses were the best! Letting our little guy pick out his gown and coming equipped with a basket of goodies to occupy his time while the drugs started working. They answered all of our questions (as did the anesthesiologist) and allowed us to stay with our son until he was sedate in the procedure room. As soon as he was awake, they came to get us. A 3 year old coming out of anesthesia is not pleasant, but nurses Sherrill and Jami were on it, armed with popcycles, applesauce, and juice. Not once did they get flustered as our little sweetie screamed and fought, pulling at his iv and completely inconsolable. There was an issue in another surgery and we would never have known, had we not heard the alarms, because everyone was calm and cool and 100% professional. I have to say, I was a tiny bit apprehensive with a surgery for my child, not at a hospital, but this was a wonderful experience! This staff was top notch!

She spent 2 days in ICU, and was then placed on hospice where she passed away on 10/5/23. Losing your loved one is never the plan, but myself, and my family of 7 have nothing but gratitute and praise for the nurses and staff that cared for her. EACH and EVERY nurse, chaplain, and Hospice staff member gave the most compassionate care for my mom during her week there and her passing. They let us ask every question, explained things thoroughly, and were a constant source of comfort to my whole family during this difficult time. This hospital is very clean, and comfortable. My boyfriend was taken to this hospital by an ambulance due to severe food poisoning. They stabbed…read morehim 8 times before they were able to get an IV in his arm. One of the nurses went all the way through his vein and didn't even know until he was told by another nurse. Now he's badly bruised. They tried to give him Zofran in pill form knowing that he couldn't hold anything down. They put him to sleep just to rehydrate him which is absolutely ridiculous. Then they woke him up at 4:30 am and called him a Lyft home with a prescription for the same medicine he threw up while he was there . I'd say unless you have a gun shot wound, find a different ER to go to.

We came to update our yearly mammogram. We are dressed to do imaging, no need to change into gown…read more We were seen expeditiously, nurse helped mee position myself to get best imaging possible of breasts. It is clean, quick and took us probably 15 min. I've done this in past and it would take lengthy amounts of time, with waiting room full of women, but none of it occurred this time around. I also experienced shaking and ongoing discomfort that did not improve during my visit. These symptoms were concerning to me and were the reason I sought emergency care. During my visit, labs were drawn, and I was administered pain and nausea medication. However, I did not receive a clear explanation of my test results, what conditions were being ruled out, or why I was being discharged despite ongoing symptoms. I felt that my concerns were minimized and that I was rushed through the discharge process without adequate communication or reassurance. When I attempted to ask questions regarding my lab results and continued pain, the interaction became tense, and I left feeling dismissed rather than informed. I did not feel that my symptoms were fully addressed, nor did I feel confident that I understood my medical condition or next steps for care at the time of discharge. I am not submitting this grievance to assign blame, but to express concern about the lack of communication, explanation, and patient-centered care I experienced while I was in distress. As a patient, I believe it is reasonable to expect clear explanations, respectful communication, and reassurance--especially when presenting with ongoing pain and concerning symptoms. I appreciate the opportunity to have this reviewed and hope this feedback can help improve patient communication and care experiences in the emergency

In May 2023, I went to the hospital for an emergency visit. Eleven months later, in April 2024, I was back at the same hospital giving birth to my first child. At no point during my prenatal care, hospital stay, or delivery was I ever informed that I had an outstanding balance from the prior visit. There was no discussion in person, no attempt to address it while I was actively receiving care, and no clear communication that there was an issue. Then in October 2024, the account was turned over to Professional Finance Company. On July 8, 2025...almost two and a half years after the original emergency visit, I was formally served and sued while I was five months pregnant with my second child. Being summoned during pregnancy over a bill I was never made aware of in person felt incredibly stressful and insensitive. To make matters worse, when I was pregnant with my second daughter (born September 2025), scheduling my C-section took four weeks because labor and delivery staff repeatedly told me I needed a referral... even though I already had one. The back-and-forth and lack of coordination during such an important time was exhausting and unnecessary. I am grateful that both of my daughters were delivered safely, and I will always be thankful for that. However, outside of the actual delivery care, my experience with billing practices, communication, and administrative professionalism has left me deeply disappointed and displeased. Patients deserve transparency, consistency, and compassion, especially during pregnancy and postpartum recovery. I am currently having to defend myself in court over a bill I was never clearly notified about during my care, which has added unnecessary stress during pregnancy and postpartum recovery. Unfortunately, that was my experience.

They have brand new hotels within walking distance in case you need to stay. Parking was easy and you didn't have to walk far. I visited the emergency department on Monday and was in distress and extremely anxious when I…read morearrived. The wait was about an hour, but with the amount of people in the waiting room, I thought it would have been longer. While I was there, I was well taken care of by Emily, Molly, Shannon, and Anna. I genuinely appreciate not only their medical care, but also their kindness and support in an extremely stressful situation especially since I suffer from panic disorder. They really took the time to care for my mental health as well as physical. The only reason I am leaving 4 stars instead of 5 is because I definitely didn't love the area that I was in, given the fact that there were other people being treated in the same room. That being said, the place was insanely busy and there were others with more serious issues which is understandable. Additionally, the space I was in did not have a call button which would have been very helpful given my level of anxiety; however, the staff was very attentive so I luckily was never in a position where I absolutely needed the call button. The check in desk could have been more helpful and caring, but with how busy they were, I understood that they were just trying to check everyone in quickly.
