The staff are very sensitive to the patient's needs; but luckily they still laugh at my stupid jokes. The quality of care by MHA is no less than the care you should expect from any service provider. Just FYI, I have had roughly seven (7) trips in MHA. Thank you all. A job well done.

It took me almost 2 months to write this because I still have trauma from my experience with this…read morecompany. I have had sleepless nights thinking about the unprofessional, horrible treatment I received and I'm talking to my lawyers about how to proceed. I have time to decide if I actually want to sue - or if I want to move on to avoid extending the harm and trauma this terrible company has caused me. I was sick in Colorado with a sickle cell crisis. I had to transfer hospitals and Mile High Ambulance was the company that was tasked with transporting me. I was told by a staff member at the first hospital that someone else on their staff told Mile High Ambulance staff to "make her ride rough - make her ride hell". I didn't know this until after I was transported and I called back to get more information on the company. For some reason I left my phone with my husband so I couldn't record how I was treated - in retrospect, if I did have my phone they likely wouldn't have mistreated me. The ambulance they transported me in was obviously out of service, it had no air, it had no supplies, it was practically empty. I was pushed into an oven with sickle cell anemia and on oxygen. They did not care. The employee that sat in the back with me completely ignored me, didn't offer to assist me at all, sat behind me the whole time so I couldn't see him and ignored my request for relief or pain meds. I felt forgotten and alone in one of the worse health crisis of my life. Towards the end of the ride, the driver of the ambulance drove the vehicle like a maniac - on purpose. He turned corners wildly til it felt like I was going to flip over. He did this intentionally and maliciously. When we finally arrived at the new hospital, he opened the back doors and smirked at me. I knew then something wasn't right. I immediately called the previous hospital and one of the nurses on the unit told me she knew they did it intentionally because she heard them say "make her ride hell" - because I had the nerve to advocate for myself while I was there. I contacted Mile High Ambulance service without sharing what I was told because I thought they would have the decency to do the right thing and apologize. They did not - they denied any wrongdoing and basically admitted that they often transport patience in those conditions. I am hurt, traumatized and seriously considering taking steps to to hold Mile High accountable for the harm they have done - especially because they had the audacity to send me a bill after treating me so poorly as a patient. Please reconsider using this company. They are not good people. Especially if you look like me. I don't care if other people have had a good experience - my experience was terrible I and hope no one ever has to go what I went through with this dollar tree version of a transportation company.

The guardian angels were watching over us the day we made the call to Touching Hearts at Home, Englewood. TH was able to staff the shifts we needed for Mom to be able to stay in her home as long as she was able, and once it became clear that she needed more acute care in a memory care facility, our caregiver helped her through that transition as well. Please note: I said "our caregiver," because she became such an integral part of mom's care, from the personal care tasks to the more important task of loving her and, in caring for Mom, she was caring for us. We had needed to find someone who would help Mom feel safe, loved and supported while we had to be away, and she took that request to heart. Ryan and his office team, Michelle and Esther, take the time to ask the right questions, and truly work with the client and their family to customize an effective care plan that takes each client's life history, abilities, needs and wishes into account, along with the caregiver's experience, personality and expertise to help ensure a good match. If you are at the beginning of your loved one's journey, or are needing to make a change in agency, make the call to Touching Hearts at Home, Englewood. You'll be glad you did!
