The staff was very helpful. I had taken my daughter first to get a temporary tooth out and stood by her side throughout the process. Was very pleased how comfortable they made her feel and the orthodontist was very gentle with her. Most recent experience was last week when I had to go for a checkup. Got rid of my old filings and got porcelain fillings instead. I was scheduled for a later time and as soon as there was an earlier opening staff contacted me. I didn't have to wait longer. I've been bringing my kids here for a few years and my kids love it in comparison to other dental offices, the staff is alway courteous and professional especially the office manager Ofelia. I love it that I can sit in the same room with my daughters as they are getting checked out, they are quick to get us in when we show up for our scheduled appointments, my oldest daughter is almost done with her braces and they were able to help me out with an affordable and easy payment plan. The only reason I actually took the time and decided to write a review is because I just recently had a crown done and it was bar far a better experience than my last one from another office. The whole experience was awesome easy and the doctor was very professional and got it fit and done with ease. On my first visit at Dental Pro it was fast, easy and convenient. Within just min after filling out the paperwork i was called to the back and the Dental assistant, Mary, was very helpful. She explained in detail was procedures were going to be done and she is also bilingual so that helped out my mom as well, to understand exactly what they were going to do. Came here today and let me start by saying I absolutely hate hate hate going to the dentist! I loved this place. All their equipment is so new and fancy and their customer service is awesome . They let you see the x-rays and pictures they take and explain everything. Dr.Polaris was great he made feel comfortable and explained what he was doing as he performed the work. The treatment plan presented to the patient is not what is more convenient for the patient, but how convenient it is for them to bill for the service or how much they will get paid. For example, if you ask for specific braces, if they don't have them, they will tell you that your teeth don't qualify for it. In addition, there is always a long wait even if you are there on time or early. The staff can be pleasant most of the time, but it's clear that they are looking out for their bottom line and nothing else. Our family has spent over $20,000 at this facility and since it's clear that we won't be needing anything more, they have cast us aside. The only positive interaction I get is when they feel they can sell me another unnecessary product. Finally, don't get braces here. They are only available one Tuesday per month which means that if your wire is poking you or a rubber band snaps, you have to wait a whole month to get it fixed. They will only have a dental assistant "try" to fix it if you complain. read more

Dr.Tran answered all my question and made me feel confident of his work and front staff was very professional and friendly only thing was the wait time. I just want let everyone know to STAY AWAY from this place! They do not care about their patients all they care about is money!!! This was my first time here and I went in to do a regular cleaning and to get my wisdom teeth pulled out. I was told I could not get a cleaning done because it had to be authorized by my insurance. I had done a deep cleaning a few months prior to my visit and was told I had a lot of plaque built up and it didnt look like I had done a cleaning in a long time. I just wanted to get a regular cleaning done. I waited about a month to get my authorization from my insurance to see if I got approved for my deep cleaning and wisdom teeth removal. Turns out they only sent the deep cleaning authorization and I was denied because I did not need a deep cleaning according to the xrays. I called about 5 times to see what had happened to my wisdom teeth removal authorization and everytime I called I was told they would call my insurance to see what was going on first thing in the morning and call me back, which they never did. Finally I was told I was approved but I needed a IV sedative which was denied by my insurance and costed $650. I tried declining the IV sedative but was told the dentist would not perform the extraction without using the sedative. I decided to call my insurance and see why I was denied for something I was told I clearly needed. After speaking to my insurance I was told they had never sent the authorization for the sedative just the extraction. I called the dentist back and asked if they had sent they authorization for the sedative to see if I could catch them in a lie and I sure did. The lady first said yes they sent it but it was denied so I informed her I just got off the phone with my insurance and they said you never did. She then changed her story to say that they dont send authorization for that sedative because it always gets denied. It was a bull**** as excuse! I advice everyone to stay away from this crooked place! read more

I sent this exact review to the Manager at this site. To put it in simple words, I left crying. This is the 2nd time that I have rec'd HORRIBLE service. The dentist was nice & did his job, but the hygienist was HORRIBLE! Twice he's forgotten about me & tended other clients before me. This time it was most of the staff. They FORGOT I WAS THERE IN THE BACK ROOM! They began to vacuum, throw the trash out, clean, and turn some lights off. When the main recipient's saw that I was STILL there (she was to busy vacuuming to notice a client was still there) she said "You're still here?" I was in disbelieve that I couldn't say anything. The hygensit came in & said "they told me to hurry up in here, but nothing is set up for me to clean your teeth." He then told me "go to this other room." Me being stupid, I did. He then proceeded to clean my teeth and added a cavity protector. He got it ALL over the outside of my mouth. The receptionist had to give me lotion from HER PURSE to see if that removed the sticky film. I walked out,got in my car & cried. I then called the next morning to speak to the manager about what had happened and no one answered my calls. read more

My son was traumatized by the speciallist, they didn't allow me to enter the room with my 7 year old, when they were finally done. My son came out crying and upset, he had a silver tooth that nobody took the time to explain what they where doing, I thought he was getting a cavity cleaned and filling. I gave 4 stars based on back staff customers service .The X-ray tech was excellent I took my 2 year old to the dentist for the 1st time the tech was so nice and thoughtful made my daughter feel comfortable and she was really sweet base on her I give 4 stars .Now the front staff one receptionist in particular was not a happy camper she was a lil rude OK she was rude When I checked in there was no one in the lobby other then My daughter,Sister and Me I was 30 minutes late I didn't think it would be a big deal since It was my first time. I made an appointment for myself based on customer service from the manager she was really nice very thought full and offer an appointment in the same week .I signed in and had a seat they called my name 10 minutes after they saw me go and yet they didn't bother to greet me or give me paperwork ;( .First thing that came out the receptionist mouth "Your Late we can't see your daughter " I then told her OK well I have an appointment after her so why don't you cancel my appointment and put her in that slot? I felt a lil neglected maybe because my daughter has Healthy Families ? I myself have PPO Insurance and they confirm my appointment yet no one called me to confirm my daughters?What ever the case is after I told her I would cancel the appointment for myself she then left and her manager took over . They took my Insurance information wrong, said I didn't show in the system well it was that they added 10 years more to my DOB maybe that's why ? after that I cant complaint the Manager and Xray Tech were awesome minus the receptionist that not once smiled just had a serious face .Dr Patel was really good very gentle with my daughter she even took her lab coat off to make my daughter more comfortable . That I do appreciate taking that extra mile for her patients.I Will continue to come here for my daughter. I'm still a lil iffy about myself I will have to think it over .I want a Good Dr ,Great Customer Service ,Excellent Treatment and Fair pricing .... read more

I DONT Recommend ALL THEY WANT IS YOUR MONEY Instead of helping you!!! They had me going in circles with my insurance i took my child there and they told me my child needed to see a specialists so they were trying to have me see there specialist at the office when they know they are not contracted with my insurance, WHICH THEY COULD HAVE TOLD ME. so they were trying to charge me 1600.00 to see the specialist to have my daughter havesome fillings . when i called my insurance to see why the office was charging me SOO MUCH they told me there specialist at that office were not contracted, and they needed to submit an authorization. Which I called and told them that they needed to submit a referal and they told me they did and they were denied, i called my insurance back about the denial they told me they had no record of them submitting anything and the if they denied any services they would have send it to me as well .. All i can say is that i have been wasting my time with this office like a bouncing ball i was so frustrated i have switched office.All this time wasted when my daughter needs work done. :( read more

I know they are not known due to their location no one can find them, but the brief time I spent with them they were all great. I paid for services ahead of time because they said "it was better to do it like that" . They never finished my dental work and I paid for it. Hate that I'm leaving a bad review after I left such a good one ... but that last visit I had will definitely be THE LAST VISIT. I came in originally because my top right molar had a filling that fell out (from years ago at another dentist) I don't quite remember the lady that worked on me but she was a white Caucasian lady that hadn't been there for long ... excuse my language but that bitch fucked my teeth up. She told me that the molar was going to need a root canal but for someone reason she wanted to try to just do a filling anyway , after she was done she said "if it stars throbbing then you need a root canal". AND BOY DID IT START THROBBING! That night I woke up with a fever and excruciating pain. The next day I called the dentist because I couldn't take the pain & they basically told me that they don't have a specialist in until TWO WEEKS FROM THEN! ... I had gotten other fillings and a cleaning done so the insurance had already used up all I could use for the year and I couldn't afford to go anywhere else with all dental masters was charging so I couldn't do shit but wait ... it was so bad I couldn't work I couldn't eat and I couldn't sleep. Couple days before the 2 weeks I called again cus there HAD to be something they can do , I was miserable . But I told them I didn't want that same DR. They gave me before so she booked me with an Asian Dr... ok that Dr... was great . He was gentle and was very informative & he never hurt me but even after the whole root canal months later that tooth still hurts.. I don't get why if the root is out but it still throbs from time to time.. the 2 stars are ONLY for that second dr. (I'm sorry I forgot him name but I wanna say Dr. Chan) & the receptionist were sweethearts. . That one Caucasian lady ruined the whole dentist for me & I hope they fire the bitch . read more

Everyone was extremely nice and took care of me very well, they were willing to work with insurances to make sure I paid the least out of pocket. I saw the general dentist and an oral surgeon to have my wisdom teeth removed, so I haven't had experience with specialist or orthodontists, but those I have interacted with (front desk staff, x-ray tech, assistants) were great. The place is clean and has a welcoming atmosphere. The only downside is I had an early appointment for surgery and had to wait for 45 mins before I was taken in. read more

Worst service ever, they schedule appointments for you and an I hour before your appointment they want to change your time because the dentist is out to lunch from 12:00pm to 2:00pm, must be nice. I got new work insurance and tried to go to this place. I had previously got my teeth cleaned and xrayed at another (really great) dentist also in downey (but my insurance didnt cover them). So, I thought I would try out this place. They were really nice and they even offered to take free xrays since my insurance would only cover them every few years. Then they told me I had 22 cavities. Now remember I had just recently been to another dentist who told me I had none. My insurance had $2000 available to be used for the year and suprisingly that is exactly what they wanted to charge me. Then they told me they wanted to fill all 22 cavities on both sides of my mouth, top and bottom, right then- They didnt even want me to schedule another appt for a different day! I just came in for a cleaning. I've been to a few dentists and my boyfriend too has had a bunch of work done and I have never heard of a dentist willing to do that much work all at once. So, I told them I couldnt do it that day. Then I made another appt with my boyfriend's dentist, who assured me he too didnt see any cavities. This was about a year and a half ago. Since then Dental Pros had continued to call me regularly to try to get me to come in to fill my cavities. I have tried to explain to them when they call that I will never return to their office and to take me name off their patient call list, yet I still receive calls. That is another thing- I have never had a dentist phone solicit you to come in to their office. I would suggest not going to this dentist. read more

DO NOT COME HERE!!! The Manager and Dentist are LIARS! I came here for a check up once I was in the room with the Dr. she started to explain what i needed which was a whole lot of stuff. Then the manager comes in first thing she does gets my info and runs my credit. She came back and said "ok well you are approved for $6,000". After the Dr. was done explaining to me what i needed to get done I ask the manager so how much is all of this going to be? She says $3,700. I was in shock!!!! then she says "let me see what I can do for you" she comes back and says $3,400. Im thinking that is a lot of money. It seemed to me like once the manager knew how much dental care had approved me for she totally tried to take advantage of me. I went to my old denstist to get a second opinion. Well turns out that i did not need almost anything. Dental pro tried charging me $1,400 just for wisdom teeth alone. my old denstist is charging me only $450. This goes to show how money hungry these people are. I do not understand how they are still open. They need to be shut down!! read more

All they care about is MONEY! Everytime I go there, the dentist says I need some kind of work to be done. I have spent thousands of dollars within a span of nine months and have decided to go to another dental office. I got very suspicious because I could hear all other patients being told they had a lot of work to be done. Many patients were surprised because they would say that just six months or so ago, they had nothing wrong with them. The dentist had told me that because I had poor dental hygene, I had a gum disease that needed surgury, I was shocked because just two months ago, the female dentist had done work on my teeth and told me everything looked great. I have always been seen by dentist since I was a child and was always told by the dentist how well my teeth were. Sadly, I believed their lies and thousands dollars later, I relized I was being taken advantage of. I wil persue a law suit and hope other victims do the same. have been here for years and every year there is a new manager or receptionist or dental assistants. one doctor and manager and some staff had been FIRED for fraud. they added a bunch of "work" onto my account, my sisters and mothers account. Same thing everyone else below has said...doctor says you need all this work done, later on its not the case, its a whole different case that needs to be done. i went in once for wisdom teeth removal in which im deathly afraid of surgery so i asked to be put to sleep or something and they said they couldnt but would give me laughing gas to relax me. Sure enough i show up for procedure and what do you know, no laughing gas, they RAN OUT AND THERES NOTHING THEY CAN DO, NOT EVEN RESCHEDULE. I was shaking and crying the whole time and freaking out. Almost fainted until bf caught me and sat me down. I constantly get asked if i want braces and im like wtf i had braces my teeth r straight. and its in records. then they offer a retainer which i agree to and they try to charge me and im like wtf i dont have $100 a month, why wouldyou charge me that? and they reply, "Well unless you have insurance then your ins wiould pay for it." And im like "EXCUSE ME I HAVE INSURANCE, DIDNT YOU CHECK BEFORE EXAMINING ME???? IVE BEEN HERE FOR YEARS" So they "go check" and never return. I guess the retainer wasnt necessary. las time i went they said i needed a crown so i said id wait til next time bc i was pregnant. i go back, OTHER DOC says no way, you just need a filling. they try charging me 100bucks and i say not this time i dont have the money. on way out the mngr stops me and says if i do it today its only be $50. Now how the hell do they do that? Only reason I stayed is bc when i fought to see my reg doctor, she was the only honest one in the building, but apparently she doesnt work there (some days they say this)/ doesnt do check ups (other days when i call they say this). Whatever the case, i cant see her, so ive moved on. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! after 15 years if not more being CAVITY FREE, they tell me I have 4 CAVITIES!!! Not only that, when I called I asked if they accepted MEDICAL and they said YES. Once I'm there, to my surprise they tell me MEDICAL DOESNT COVER THIS MEDICAL DOESNT COVER THAT. For the first time, they tell me they have found 4 cavities and my ins cover it. That the type of cleaning I needed was not covered by my insurance either.. I thought to myself, that's weird it usually covers. But I was more worried surprised in the 4 cavities they had found. I was just thinking in taking care of them ASAP , and since I was there already why not. The lady said she could help me out and ran my credit. After they ran my credit and got approved,THEN SHE TELLS ME HOW MUCH IT IS. For the cleaning and 4 cavities, they charged me $860!! Ridiculous expensive! And I was waiting for a long time and decided to leave, and the lady is like OH IM SORRY DO YOU WANT ANOTHER APPT I ALREADY RAN YOUR CREDIT AND CHARGED YOU.. I was confused yet, really wanted to take care of this matter. So I came back. Long story short, the dentist a bald guy, did my fillings for the cavities. THAT FIRST DAY he told me GIVE IT A COUPLE OF DAYS .. You might feel SENSITIVITY etc.. SO I DID! I came back for the second time he tried to work on my sensitivity and he didn't do much and told me se thing GIVE IT A COUPLE OF DAYS... I DID! I was upset the sensitivity wouldn't go away and had pain now going to my jawbones and to the neighboring teeths! I explained to him that the third time going to his office trying to fix that issue. By bow I waiting a couple of days and still experiencing pain and sensitivity. I CANT EAT OR DRINK I CANT ENJOY MY FOOD. Not only the chewing but even when my mouth is empty I get pain and semsitivity with the air itself! BY NOW IM SO PISSED OFF! I BEEN TO THAT OFFICE FOR THE SAME ISSUE 4 times!
