I stopped by to get x-rays and have my teeth exam and I was getting ready to hear a lot of bad news. Knowing that I had not visited the dentist in about 8 to 10 years I knew that there would be work that would be needed to be completed.. The dentist was very helpful with letting me know the severity of it, but at the same time showed optimism and made me feel comfortable. Not only are we looking into the repairment of my tooth but also he explained to me the things that would be needed to be done in order to restore my teeth. I had plaque built up and my gums were very swollen with numbers high as fives and six which is not great and he explained to me that it would take a few appointments of deep cleaning and laser treatment in order to restore them. The appointments that I've had with them have been painless, and they have always made me feel comfortable while visiting them. This really helped me overcome my fear of visiting in the dentist and I actually do look forward to seeing them for my next appointment. Thank you Downey family dental, Dr. Nguy and the rest of the team for not only making it a seamless and positive experience, but truly helping me get my teeth restored!

The front office staff were incredibly professional and helpful . they took the time to clearly explain our dental benefits and made the entire process stress-free. The dental assistants were so kind and caring while taking our X-rays. They were gentle, friendly, and made us feel completely comfortable. Both of The Doctors ( Dr.Nguy & Dr.No) were absolutely wonderful! not only knowledgeable and professional, but also hilarious! There was a fun little rivalry between one being a proud alum of UCLA and the other from USC which made the visit even more enjoyable and hilarious . You can tell they genuinely care about their patients and about the work they do. Overall, such a positive experience. I hadn't been to the dentist office in a while due to a bad experience so a chipped tooth brought me here! The staff is so friendly and explained everything in detail! They saw how anxious I was but worked with me through the process, made me feel like they were one of my friends! Dr.Farag was wonderful and I almost fell asleep when he was working on my tooth! The visit did last a couple hours so one of the staff members got me a smoothie and I'm insanely grateful for that! Today was my 2nd visit for a root canal and wow Dr.Okefe the dentist & Dr.Raouf the endodontist were both great. Made me feel at ease and answered any questions I had. As someone who's never had a root canal done before, I felt uneasy going into it but I did not feel any pain throughout. I've done a dental cleaning and checkup and I felt confident the dentist Dr Sullivan and dental hygienist were knowledgeable. The lobby or waiting room area is larger than most dental offices however, they don't make you wait very long, which is a good thing, but still able to take in the Hawaiian style decorations throughout. Mi tratamiento fue de un puente ya que me extrajeron una muela que ya supuestamente me dijeron que no se podía salvar y que tenía que sacarla y para que no quede espacio pues hiba hacerse dos coronas para realizar el puente. Pues accedí a realizarme pero tuve mucho dolor al momento de la extracción y luego también no me enviaron medicina solo una hoja de cuidados Para realizarme las coronas desgastaron muchos mi dientes y por lo siguiente quedaron muy sensibles tuve molestias por varias semanas y hasta el momento tengo molestias al momento de tomar agua fría y caliente también. Estéticamente se mira bien. A lo que voy es que deberían informarte y asesorarte con estos tipos de procedimientos por qué tus dientes al realizarte este tipo de desgastes ya no quedan igual y vas a tener molestias incluso siento que también puede generar un poco de mal aliento. Y ya por último cuando salí de terminar mi procedimiento la persona de recepción me empezó a decir que debo realizarme coronas en varias de mis piezas dentales que se encuentran totalmente curadas (están con relleno) y no me duelen ni me dan ninguna molestia . A lo que voy es por qué recomendarte un procedimiento tan agresivo como son las coronas cuando no es necesario. Por qué en lo personal no me parece necesario. Solo tendría que realizar coronas en casos excepcionales. Ya que tus dientes son muy desgastados prácticamente tus dientes o muelas quedan como de tiburón por el desgaste. Mi recomendación para todos los profesionales de la salud seamos más conscientes al momento de atender a un paciente si acudimos a ustedes es con la confianza y seguridad de que van a ayudar y asesorar de la mejor manera para solucionar nuestro problema.
