While she was doing my root canal, she made sure I was comfortable and kept checking in on me. I didn't feel a thing while she worked on me! I had a root canal at another office about a year ago, and it was painful because the dentist was rough. But this doctor took her time and ensured everything was perfect. The temporary crown was great, and the permanent one was done flawlessly--I couldn't even feel it when I closed my mouth. She's truly an incredible doctor, and I'll keep coming back to this office as long as they accept my insurance. The staff was also fantastic and attentive. I give them a 10 out of 10!

So basically, she admitted she didn't hear a word I said, even though I was in pain and clear as day. She didn't get the gist at all and had a hard time just getting my name down -- even when I spelled it, gave examples like 'S as in Sam' nothing helped. Even like that she kept coming up with different last names. Listening issues are common via phone, but this was a lack of Attention and presence. If they can't get pull your account, why bother here? If the front desk can't follow simple info or tone, it makes the whole place feel questionable. Avoid this place.

I stopped by to get x-rays and have my teeth exam and I was getting ready to hear a lot of bad news. Knowing that I had not visited the dentist in about 8 to 10 years I knew that there would be work that would be needed to be completed.. The dentist was very helpful with letting me know the severity of it, but at the same time showed optimism and made me feel comfortable. Not only are we looking into the repairment of my tooth but also he explained to me the things that would be needed to be done in order to restore my teeth. I had plaque built up and my gums were very swollen with numbers high as fives and six which is not great and he explained to me that it would take a few appointments of deep cleaning and laser treatment in order to restore them. The appointments that I've had with them have been painless, and they have always made me feel comfortable while visiting them. This really helped me overcome my fear of visiting in the dentist and I actually do look forward to seeing them for my next appointment. Thank you Downey family dental, Dr. Nguy and the rest of the team for not only making it a seamless and positive experience, but truly helping me get my teeth restored!

I have been on the search for a new dentist and I happened to have popped in on this one just…read morebecause I saw that it was fairly new in the area. This was around March 2018. It was very fast and easy to set up an appointment. I went in for a routine check-up and it turned out I had a cavity so I got a white filling. The office is rather small but it looks nice and clean. There is a TV on the ceiling of each room equipped with Netflix. It was pretty nice to distract myself looking at sharks while I got a filling for my cavity. The quality of the filling was not too great either. It still felt pokey after 3 days like it wasn't filed down properly and there was residue left on some of my other teeth which still feels rough to this day. The reason I give it this place a 3 is because I feel that the whole thing was rather rushed and not a lot of explaining. Since I have all four of my wisdom teeth grown in they suggested extraction for all 4 and since they don't bother me I said no thanks, but they kept insisting and even went ahead and scheduled an appointment for me. They kept calling and texting and emailing and I kept saying I did not make an appointment and so that really creeped me out. Like they were after my teeth!

I arrived earlier and they were able to see me pretty quickly. They were all very friendly and the doctor was able to fill my cavities and give me a cleaning all in the same visit. I recommend this office highly. I hadn't seen the dentist in a while and now I will definitely go more often to this office. Thank you!
