I had a great experience with JT from Dent Star. I initially sent him a picture of a ding in my rear quarter panel, and rather than guessing, he explained that he couldn't provide an accurate estimate without seeing the car in person. We met the next day, and he gave me a very reasonable quote and included another smaller ding I had on my passenger door. A few days later, JT completed the repairs, and the results are amazing. He was friendly, easy to talk to, and is clearly a master of his craft. When he finished, he cleaned up the work area and even polished the repaired sections to where it looks like the dents were never there. I'm extremely happy with the quality of his work and would highly recommend JT and Dent Star for any PDR work. read more

Nice guy. He did what we paid him to do. The service was good. I could not find a dent anywhere on car. He replaced panels that were damaged by hail. He was much cheaper than insurance. I recommend him for hail damage issues. read more

I knocked over a customers bike and dented the tank. Sent JT a couple of pictures and we set up a time over the holidays for him to come and do the repair. Looks like new and at very reasonable price. While he was there he also took the time to remove a dent in the hood of my neighbor's Camaro. Highly recommend!!! read more

JT came out after hours and fixed me up. Trustworthy, prompt and professional. No nonsense and at a competitive price. I won't hesitate to call him again. read more

I've watched JT work his magic on some pretty expensive cars for years & he just worked a nasty dent out of my Porsche 928. He's honest about expectations, does not miss appointments & is very well priced. I highly recommend JT for any metal work prior to taking your car to a body shop. He'll pull the metal back into place, reducing the amount of holes a body shop will drill & filler they use, reduce your overall repair bill & greatly improve the final product. read more

JT was very helpful. He was nice and professional at the same time. I brought my 2015 A4 to have a tiny tiny dent removed and he did it in less than 15mins. I will come back with my husbands suv. Repeat customer for sure! read more

My car had a deep, starburst dent in it that JT immediately said could be problematic, but he would give it a shot. (Two other highly rated dent removal places in town wouldn't touch it.) My only other option was to take it to a body shop, so I asked JT to go ahead & try to fix it. Although he wasn't able to completely take the dent out, it did look 90% better than it did when I took it in. Since he wasn't able to completely fix it, JT refused to accept any payment for it. Wow! I would definitely recommend JT. He does good work and he is a very honest and dependable guy. read more

I had small door ding (about the size of a nickel) on my Infiniti G37. I originally took it Capital City Collision and they recommended that I take it to Dent Star since there was no paint damage and paintless dent repair would be a lot cheaper than the work they would need to do at their body shop. I called Dent Star and spoke to JT. We setup a time for me to bring in my car so he could remove the ding. I brought my car in on a Sunday and JT was able to remove the ding in 2 hours. My door is back to it's original condition and I saved a few hundred dollars! Definitely take your car here for any paintless dent repair work you need. Also make sure you call ahead. Dent Star is a one-man operation and JT might have other customers ahead of you for repairs. read more

Great experience with DentStar and JT. I had a baseball size ding on my rear quarter panel above my wheel, and now it's like it never existed. The great thing is that there was no drilling involved, unlike some other paintless repair places. Price was reasonable. Be sure to call ahead, as he's a busy guy and may not be at the shop or be able to fit you in his schedule. Although once he starts, it only takes a few hours. Also, you should know he does repair for the Mercedes dealer in Georgetown! read more

VERY BAD BUSINESS!! I had an appointment at 11a.m to get a dent removed and J.T. never showed up. I called him and he never answered my calls. He finally called me back 2 hours later and was very disrespectful and rude even thou it was his fault he missed my appointment!! I wouldn't bring your business here unless you want to waste your time and get disrespected!! read more

Fast, friendly repair done right the first time. I had a tricky double-dent above the window of my beloved BRZ. I hope I don't need to return soon, but this is my first stop when I need it! It was also nice to patronize a small business run by a long-time Austinite. read more

JT is amazing! He is really experienced and love what he does. I bought my Lexus in for a nasty dent that is small that has been bugging me for awhile. He is fair at his pricing and very friendly. It took about an hour and I just watch and we chatted the whole time. After he fixed the dent, he saw a couple of small ones and he went ahead and also fixed those, he is a perfectionist so it is great for his customers. read more

Looks like JT doesn't exactly need another 5-star review on the quality of his work, but in addition to that I wanted to let others know how impressed I am with his honesty in referring me to full body repair shop since he didn't think the paint touch up part of the job would be the ideal solution for my issue, even though he could fix the dent part no problem and do the touch-up. Instead, he referred me to a body shop he thinks highly of and does work with regularly. Honesty and integrity aren't always easy to come by--he could have easily just taken the job and done the paint touch-up anyway. On top of that he was super quick as promised to respond to the pics I sent, as well as being a very nice, friendly fellow to speak with! Looks like you can't lose with JT. read more

JT did a great job. He responded quickly to my questions and was very flexible with my schedule. There was a relatively large dent on the door and JT was able to fix it within 3 hours. Car door looked brand new. Definitely would recommend and would go back for future dents. read more

JT did amazing work, removing a crease from my wife's door, and dings from my Porsche's door. He was fast, courteous, and professional. We made an appointment for him to come out to our place and do the repairs (vs going into the shop), and he was on time and prompt. This is the guy you want to fix a dent. Can't recommend highly enough! Amazing work. read more

JT saved me more than 70% the dealership estimate for the dent on the hatch of my 2015 Toyota Rav 4. He is extremely professional and flexible when scheduling. JT even offered a ride if I didn't have one once I dropped off my car. The dent that the dealership said would take more than 3 days to complete, JT had done in less than 5 hours. I absolutely recommend his services to anyone in the Austin area. read more

Above and beyond. This guy can do what other dent repairmen say is impossible, without repainting! Not only that, he is flexible and willing to provide you with transportation if need be. I had a door ding in an area that supposedly was impossible to get to due to the door brace being in the way. Dent star did such an excellent job that I could not even tell it had been dented in the first place- all within a few hours work. Highly recommended. read more

JT was very helpful and informative when I brought in my Mazda which had a dent on the front side panel and on the door. I was worried I'd have to replace the entire side, but he was able to get the car as good as new without having to replace any of the parts! I couldn't believe it. He was helpful and professional and turned the car around in 48 hours. Would highly recommend JT again! read more

JT does excellent work! Highly recommend him...worked with me on short notice and does a fantastic job!

This was my first time to try paintless dent removal so I used a "groupon" type offer. Pulled up, JT took me in immediately, fixed my door ding in about 15 minutes. JT did an excellent job....nice guy and seems honest. I will be bringing back my other vehicles whenever needed. His prices are competative with all other companies. I highly recommend him. read more

I called JT at the suggestion of a body shop. JT was exactly on time for my appointment. I only had one small dent and he was able to fix it in an hour, and gave me a discount because it was so small. Excellent service, and very pleasant to work with. read more

JT was great to work with. I had a small dent in the door of my built in refrigerator and one in my freezer door. They bugged me each time I went to the refrigerator. They were small but stood out like huge dents. JT took each door off and worked his magic. He was honest about how much he could do to make them look better, they obviously wouldn't look perfect, but I was so pleased with the result.s. I would definitely recommend JT/Dent Star. read more

After a referral from a friend, I took my new car that had slight damage due to careless people in a parking lot to JT. He worked magic and no more sign of my dent! Plus, Thane took car of another small dent that I hadn't even noticed and now my car looks brand new. JT did wonderful work and had great customer service. I will definitely use him again if I need it. read more

This company was highly recommended to me by a trusted source and based on the outcome I now see why. My car was riddled with hail dents. After JT and company's hard work, it is once again in show room condition!! This man works wonders, and the price is right. He cares about his work, and he cares about his customers. It doesn't get any better than that! read more

JT did a great job with the door ding my coworker left for me. We made an appointment to meet at his shop on a Saturday. He was there as planned and got right to work. The whole thing took about an hour and you can't see a hint of the dent. Will definitely go back if something else happens to a car of mine. read more

Amazing experience removing a 1/2" dent from a door hitting my car. I stopped by without an appointment and he fixed it immediately, at an amazing price too. It's perfectly flat now, and he also buffed it afterwards. 100% glad I took it to here. read more

As other reviews state, JT is straight forward and very honest and I can appreciate that since I find it hard to trust most people in the auto repair industry. I like to do all auto repair myself (I never been to a mechanic in Austin) but auto body work is more of an art which is why I decided to give Dent Star a shot. I asked JT to fix 2 dents on my hood and 1 on my passenger door, without asking or extra charge, JT pulled a couple extra dings out of my hood. They were unable to get to my car right away but gave me a ride home and back to pick my car the same day. read more

These guys are great. They provided a fair estimate and even gave me a ride to the airport. Unfortunately, one of my dents was in a tough spot that made it nearly impossible to fix completely, but they were completely honest and wouldn't take payment for that work. I really appreciate their honesty and desire to do great work. read more
