Like a lot of guys, my car is my baby. When I found a small dent with what appeared to be a small chip in the middle, my heart sank. It was right in the seam of my rear quarter panel and was just big enough to be annoying and noticeable. I immediately did some research on Google and found Dentmasters at the top of my results. Considering the cost that the dealer quoted me, I thought it was a good idea to check out a place like Dentmasters. Richard was immediately ready to give me an estimate during my scheduled appointment and was also ready to do the work right after he explained what it would require. My Dodge Challenger is not the easiest car to work on, but Richard was confident it would be fixable. Within an hour, the dented area was looking brand new. Richard even buffed out the apparent chip and it turned out it was just paint from the car that dinged me. Not only did he get the dent out in a difficult spot, but he made the paint look new in the dinged area. He charged $200, which was very much worth the result (and was well under half of what the dealer would have charged me). I highly recommend Richard and Dentmasters. Richard was very professional and he did an excellent job repairing the small (a few inches) dent on my hood. While repairing, he also found another smaller dent on my hood that I hadn't noticed and he repaired it without additional charge. Went in for an estimate around 8:30 AM and he was actually able to repair the dents right after my estimate and fit my repair into his schedule. The repair took about an hour and half and I can't even notice any dents at all on my hood. His estimate was for $200, but with the $25 Yelp coupon, bill came out to $175, which is reasonable for the quality work he did. Came here for one 2" dent and a nice football size dent. Rich knocked it out of the ballpark this morning on the dent and was upfront he about being unsure he could fix the larger dent (which is awesome, since shelling out cash and getting bad work product is no bueno). The 2" dent was fairly complicated as it was on the belt line of the car. Rich took an hour, brought back the car, and was good as new. Cost $200 due to area of the dent. When Rich pulled the car around, the 2" was completely gone. I was surprised when he showed me the larger dent. He spent a few minutes adjusting at no charge, and it came back looking MUCH better then before. Rich was honest and let me know he could do the work after all once he took a closer look. I'll return shortly to have completed. The shop is in the back of the Mercedes Benz dealership. And you know what? Writing this review has been at the top of my sprawling "to do" list forever but I've never forgot about it because of how great of a job they did on my car. I'm a car guy. I have a 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX - the first year WRX sold in America (the original 'bugeye' model) - that I bought new in 2002 and have driven and maintained since then. It's become pretty much a hobby car (shows, meets, etc) and I'm probably going to keep it for years to come. Regrettably 14 years of ownership had taken its toll on some of the body panels. In that time span I had accumulated door dents, a dent that a family member put into the trunk as an almost new car in 2004, and the "pièce de résistance": an 8" long indentation scoring the side of my rear quarter panel (e.g. rear side panel). Let me tell you something about quarter panel damage: it is literally the worst. It is the only exterior panel on your car that is actually seam welded to your chassis. Why? Who knows. The front fenders, doors, hood, bumpers on most modern cars all bolt on and with the right tools you could pop it off in your garage. To remove the quarter panel you have to whip out the welding tools and be a master metal worker, or otherwise pay someone that is and it is pricey. When I got that hit I was dreading taking it to a body shop for fear of the final bill, as other cars of mine have had full quarter panel replacement. I let it slide for a full year before I got the idea to try 'Paintless Dent Removal' (PDR) before a car show I planned on attending. PDR, like Dentmasters does, is the process of popping out dents using special tools without any traditional body shop work. I selected Dentmasters Arlington primarily based on their Yelp reviews. Spoke with Richard on the phone and it was really easy to set up an appointment. Richard works in the Mercedes dealership in Ballston, which means its Metro accessible -- you can drop your car off in the morning, walk 5 minutes to the metro, and you're on your way to work. My instructions to Richard for the big quarterpanel dent was "just do your best, I don't care if it's not perfect, anything that is better will do." He quoted me a price ahead of time for all the dents that was agreeable and I told him to go ahead and give it a shot. I paid by check, but I forget if that's the only way. I came back later in the day to find out that all all the dents were popped out completely - including one I missed that Richard did for free while he was in there (really nice guy!) - and the big quarter panel dent was completely gone -- 10/10 flawless. It was literally unbelievable that he was able to pop out a dent that big (see pictures as this has to be one for the record). Didn't think it could happen with PDR. Now I'm a believer. Richard is just that good. The only thing you have to understand coming in expectation-wise is that PDR can only fix 'dents' and not paint scratches or paint damage, so there was still a little clear coat scratch leftover (which was expected). My next stop will be to the car detailer to polish out the scratch and it ought to be good as new. I recommended Richard to my parents whose neighbor gives them door dings about every other day and just about anyone else I meet who mentions they are dent-ridden. I came here to get a dent out from the back left side panel of my car. The dent had a radius of about 6 inches so it wasn't small but not very big either. I made an appointment (very easily via email) and brought it to Richard at Dent Masters Arlington. He did a quick 2 minute estimate and then was able to get the dent out in under an hour and a half! He had to remove my back left tail light in order to use his fancy devices for dent-removal but he did everything with expertise and I have no complaints following the service. This was my first trip to Dent Masters. I'm a bit OCD about my truck since I work out of it and it's more than just A to B to me. Really it's my office. I'd been using another local company (who will remain anonymous ) to fix the dents and dings one receives when driving on the nations finest roads here in DC. I was going to let a few of the small tailgate dings go but there was some slight rippling in the driver's side of the bed that was driving me a little batty. It looked like someone had leaned on it too hard so it wasn't really a dent but more like wavy or rippled metal. The truck is black so when clean and in the sun it looked horrible. The guy at the previous company I used said I was nuts and I was the only one that would notice it. Well right. I notice it and I want to give you money so I don't notice it anymore. He told me I was better off leaving it alone and it could be worse if he fooled with it. Actually he wasn't the only company that told me that. He also said that he could do my tailgate if I left it with him for a "week or two." I went on about my routine until it was time to get new tires and when I got home it looked like somebody had banged some tools into the side of it. Enter Richard. The appointment was set up for first thing in the morning and I got hung up in a little traffic and got there late. His next appointment was pulling in and he told me not to worry but he would do theirs first and still get me done. Totally understandable and my fault in the first place. I hardly ever write reviews, but I have to give credit where credit is due. When I noticed a door ding/scrape on my brand new Mercedes-Benz CLA while parked in a parking lot, my heart sank. Did some research and found that a full repair with paint job would cost me 300-500$, while the paint less dent removal would only be 100-200$. Was a little hesitant at first because I heard that after the fact (with these types of repairs) my car will never come out "factory" new. (I am VERY peculiar when it comes to quality).
