Denny's, in my experience, is at its peak between the hours of 10:30 PM and 8:00 AM. It's always perfectly acceptable, and if you walk in with a hankering for diner-style breakfast you'll be satisfied. It's never amazing, but you'll leave content with your food. A friend of mine was celebrating his 21st Birthday and wanted to go to Denny's after a few drinks, since it was a place we would frequent in high school. We had no trouble finding parking around 12:35 AM, and even my boyfriend who drives a van could fit quite comfortably in his space. We were seated immediately after walking in the restaurant, with our drink orders being taken around a minute later. Since this was a chain it was a non-issue, but were this a new restaurant I may have wanted slightly more time to peruse the drink menu. Not an issue here though, as I came in knowing I would get an Oreo milkshake. This may seem like an odd complaint but the shake tasted like a chocolate shake with some Oreo crumbs sprinkled in, rather than a true cookies and cream milkshake. I ordered the Country Fried Steak and Eggs Breakfast. This comes with a slightly skimpy portion of chicken-fried steak with country gravy, two eggs however you like them (I always choose sunny-side up), hash browns, and four half-slices of white toast (I think there used to be choices but now it's white bread take it or leave it). The food felt like it all came out fairly quickly, and it all came out together which is always nice. That isn't always the case at Dennys, and I'm happy it was today. The breakfast was just how I remembered it: average. I, who don't have any experience cooking breakfast foods, feel like with some practice I could replicate the meal. There were some warm fuzzy feelings associated with the food but I can't tell how much was actual enjoyment and how much was me feeling nostalgic for the days when my drama club would come here at about this time after we'd finished a performance. Breaking all of the elements down, the steak was exactly what I expected it to be. Slightly small, but a good beef flavor. Maybe slightly over-breaded but not to the point where it was upsetting. My biggest problem was probably the country gravy: once I got about halfway through the steak the gravy had already gone lukewarm or even cold. This may seem like a minor complaint but when it's the vehicle for the rest of the plate it has to be nice and hot to carry everything else. The eggs were maybe my favorite part, I just felt like the kitchen didn't put any salt or pepper on them. There was table salt and pepper though, so once again I'm not upset about it. The hash browns were another point of contention. They were cooked through to the point of being crunchy, rather than crispy. The center of the potato shreds had gone hard, rather than the exterior caramelizing and the inside staying moist. The toast was toast. An appropriate amount of butter was applied, and I found myself using it to mop up the last of my yolks and gravy. Overall, the food was what I expected it to be. Adequately satisfying, save for a few minor flaws with each item. I'm happy the business was saved and won't be torn down, even if the restaurant is more of a nostalgia trip than anything else at this point. Daniel was one of the best servers I had. He had so much hospitality and was very comfortable with us. I would like to say that this is one of the best costumer services i've had. For me to try to convince the reader that this Dennys is a 5-star restaurant might not be believable, but why this one gets the high review is not the food, if you know Dennys, you know the food, you know the menu, but this location has exceptional service that today was provided by our server, Jerome. Ordered on DoorDash and they handed our driver the wrong order, once we called them the manger said they'd bring us the correct order because a new worker messed up. We live about 7 minutes away..... it's been almost 2 hours since the manager "left" to deliver our food to us, whenever we call the store back, they said the manger said he was delivering it. We basically spent $60 to not see a single bit of what we ordered and if we get it at any point, it'll be two plus hours, the food will be cold, and we won't get compensated for the time lost and the major inconveniences. read more

Hi, Since your website wont work and you refuse to answer my facebook messages. Maybe I will get a reply from leaving this review. I placed an order for curbside pickup this morning of July 28 at 8:30. I arrived after checking the status, and it stated it was ready. I got there and parked in the designated pickup spot. I saw the two cameras and waited about 7 minutes with no one coming to my car with my order. I checked to see if there was a button to say I'm here, but there wasn't one on the site. So I placed two calls--both times the phone rang four times with no pickup, and the line then dropped. So I decided to go in and spoke to a young man in his mid-20s, Caucasian. He said, "Oh, the pickup spot is in a blind spot, and you have to call us." Nowhere on the website or on the sign in the parking spot does it say that. I said that I even went to the site to see if there was an "I arrived to pick up" button, but there wasn't one, so I did call, and you didn't pick up. He said, "Oh, we're busy." I said, "Well, you got a pickup order; why isn't someone watching for them?" He said, "We're busy, sorry." I told him my name is Tiffany and that I'm here for my order. He went over to the counter, looked at my order, and then had to cut up fruit to complete the order. But also, why isn't my order under a food warmer or some form of heat? It's just on the counter to get cold. I leave and get my order home. My hashbrowns are barely cooked- just brown enough on the top. The middle is cold. The toast for both of our orders was burned. I have photos of all of this. If you want them. The cheese on my omelette wasn't cheese- it's just a slice of processed Velveeta cheese. The onions and ham weren't even mixed together in the omelette- and the onion was sautéed which is gross. The onion for the hashbrowns was sautéed as well and no effort was even made to mix them in with the hashbrowns, they were placed on top. The eggs in both omelettes werent fresh they were some kind of egg beater or premade frozen stuff? The whole order was just greasy and nasty. This is not how I remember breakfast at Denny's. This was a complete let down. I get and understand they were busy I've worked in food service before. We all have bad days...but this was a mess. We spent $40+ dollars and had to throw away well over half of what we ordered. I expect a full refund and apology. This was sub par and an awful experience. Been here many times, in small parties or with 15+ (work) and I always feel welcome. Service is great! Food is good, never have I had a bad dish here, it's always as described in the menu. I've had a couple of skillets and I highly suggest them. Second to that is the nachos. Drinks are basic. If any complaint would be the parking, on weekends it's sometimes hard to find parking. We used to drive all the way from Everett to have a breakfast at Denny's in Wenatchee. It was family tradition. We came in this weekend and asked for Veggie skillet that was the best. We were told that the HQ took it off from the menu. We asked for a replacement and we were offered Supreme skillet which was totally Disgusting. Tons of potatoes, burnt and full of oil, 3 leaves of spinach 4 slices of mushrooms extremely burnt, too and all these masked by a handful of cheese and the egg. There were like warmed leftovers. They're Denny's! They don't get 5 stars! Although the cook laced my eggs and they were a bit more than "over-easy", they were still just breakfast eggs. The floor is faux wood tile. With Glass globe lamps, no carpet and food you should expect to be diner food, there's nothing to complain about here! Denny's wouldn't be as big as they are if they weren't doing something right, and this one is exemplary to that end: Even their coffee is pretty good. They can't make it strong for Seattle folk like me! They'd give the old folks a heart attack! No offense old folks. I'm over the crest now too. This Denny's is the nicest Denny's I've been to yet and I will come back when I'm in town. The servers in the morning are attentive and take their time with the patrons. We were in town (Wenatchee) on Thursday and my wife wanted to stop at Denny's for something to eat. We got in and seated in a short time and ordered our food without taking a good look at the menu. I had a kind of "French Dip". It was tasty but needed salt which wasn't on the table (Covid you know.) I really don't remember what the wife had. I had a cup of coffee and my wife had iced tea. When we got the bill it was for about $44!!! This was Denny's not one of the fancy restaurants. Look like they're trying to make up for all the recent problems! Both the coffee and the tea were $3.50! Won't be going back there again. Look out folks. They're out to get ya!! read more

My wife and I had dinner at Denny's in Wenatchee today and it was an excellent experience. The gentleman that took us to our table was pleasant and efficient. The menu was so great with beautiful colored photos of their practically everything on their menu. We had a little trouble deciding what we were going to order because they have such a fine selection. Once we ordered the wait time was very short and the quality of their food was really good. We both enjoyed our meals and as we left the restaurant we both commented on how spotlessly clean the restaurant was. Believe it or not, you can still get their Slam meal with pancakes and sausage for under $7. One of the items we liked was their dinner salad. It was fresh and came with a large size portion of salad dressing on the side. I'll be going back for more excellent food at the Wenatchee Denny's. As a US Navy Retiree, I have been frequenting Denny's all over America my entire adult life, and this was truly my best dining experience ever. I am visiting this town with my fiancé and my parents (he graduated from WHS in '91, we currently live in Seattle). This particular location is scheduled to close tomorrow for renovations, and I am so glad I was able to have this experience tonight. My review is written with the utmost respect of our "server" Narciso. I use parentheses because he was everything for us. Greeter, server, and cashier. It was an incredibly busy time, and he was all over the floor. I'm guessing they were understaffed because of the pending closure. Narciso catered to all of us flawlessly, expeditiously and with almost a glowing positive attitude. He could have easily been grumpy or sluggish, with how many tables he had and how particular some of us were, but he had a modest and sincere smile! He melted my heart, and compelled me to write this. The food was awesome, which is as expected. The atmosphere was a little crowded, but I assume that is why they're about to renovate. But, what will bring me back to THIS location is certainly going to be Narciso. His pride, professionalism and most importantly POSITIVITY cannot be taught! He is a hidden gem and I suspect he is going to excel in whatever he chooses to do in the future. THANK YOU for renewing my faith in humanity! We were on a driving trip, and approximately 1,200 miles from home, when we got word that my wife's mother was dying. After we were seated at the Wenatchee Denny's breakfast table, she called her sister, and their call, tension-filled, lasted a while. When the server came, looking for our order, I explained that my wife had not yet checked the menu, and I gave the reason ("her mother is dying"). Eventually the call ended, the order was placed, and served, and eaten. When I asked for the bill, the server said, "Your meal is on the house, considering what you're dealing with." This is the most amazing treatment I have ever had at a restaurant. DON'T go there because sometimes there's a free meal - but DO go, because the staff is considerate, thoughtful and kind! read more

Last three times we were there, I would not rate the service an "ok". We received more customer service from the cashier than we did the waitress. And this has been consistent with the last 3 visits. Once we received our food, we didn't see the waitress again unless we were able to flag her down to get Ketchup (bottle on the table was empty), needed sugar/splenda, silverware (took 5 minutes for her to bring it to us). We sat for over 10 minutes after finishing our meal for the bill. We walked up to the cashier to pay, she had to find waitress and then waitress came to the register, gave the cashier the bill and walked away. Not one word to us, not a word, no "thank you" "have a nice day" nothing. The food was warm at best, eggs were over easy instead of over medium. But we couldn't get help to send the eggs back. I put two stars because even though the service was very slow, the waiter was courteous. We waited for over 45 minutes for someone to take our orders. Waited again to get our food which took another 45 minutes. The table next to us got there after us with same amount of people that we had, they ordered breakfast as well but their riders came first. Our server was very cordial though I wondered if the place was having ac problems. The fans were jacked up high but it wasn't very cool inside. The family got some usual fare, mostly sandwiches. I was feeling adventurous, (honestly it was pure laziness cause I didn't feel like going out of my way to one of my regular hangouts) so I stopped in at Dennys. Yes, Dennys. :-/ For some reason the parking lot was packed and so was the restaurant. I was seated after a short wait. The restaurant was fairly clean considering the crowd. Certain nothing fancy here, just plain basic American food served with no frills, kinda like an edible motel 6. You pays yer money, ya take the ride. I ordered a Belgium slam, waffle, two eggs scrambled (since when do scrambled eggs consist of an omelet with no filling, nothing scrambled, but I digress) two strips of bacon and two sausage links. The eggs, although folded on to itself and not scrambled, tasted fine. The sausage links were decent, the bacon barely edible. I don't know where Dennys gets their bacon but I suspect it may be the same supplier that is used by Taco Bell for their meat. Barely fit for prisoners or feed for livestock. The waffle was actually okay, crispy without being overcooked and not doughy. I would rate it as adequate... Nothing special but what you would expect a waffle should be. Coffee... Well, for some reason I like Dennys coffee, it's subjective, I know. Don't hurt me. Service was actually quite good. Jordan regularly checked in, kept the coffee coming, offered a smile, and generally took pretty good care of the table despite the place being busy. Overall, I would rate the experience as mediocre with service being the bright spot. read more
