Late night stop. Our server Bo was excellent. He took our orders and brought them exact to specifications ( extra crispy hash browns and held the toast until were ready to leave). Food was hot and my son said the mac and cheese was the best he ever had! read more

**experience during covid-19 ** nobody was wearing a mask. As soon as we arrived we got seated, however, it took a while before anybody acknowledged us at the table. Fortunately at the time they seated us we got our menus. Once she dropped by to get our drink order we did our drinks and meal all at the same time. On the table they had a note mentioning they had a limited menu due to problems with their delivery system. My first option was not possible due to that food shortage, so we went with my second option. Later we noticed only 1 lady was handling half the building. the worst experience today. came in, ordered our food. 15 min later a table four came in, and 5 min after that a big family had come in. in the hour and 15 min we were there the table of four had ordered eaten paid and left, the big family had ordered and 4 separate times id seen people delivering food to that table. 20 min after the family had shown up, a table to 2 showed up and still received there food before us. and we were only addressed once after 50 min of waiting. very irritate to say the least. we walked out. terrible service read more

Patricia is the only reason we like going to this Dennys. When we first started going it was super slow and the service was kinda bad. Recently we had Patricia as our server and she was amazing. I've never tipped so much before, especially at a Dennys with okay reviews. She really makes our experience so much better and she takes care of us so well. Went to take our dad out for veteran's lunch. There was no one at the counter to seat us, took about 8 minutes for a server to finally talk and seat us. Once seated, we were there for 25 minutes waiting for service. During that time many waitresses walked by and just looked at us with the original server never coming back to take our order nor drinks. read more

Meh. I would have given this three stars which is just a typical experience that you would have expected from Denny's, but my table was very sticky which kind of gross me out. I asked my waiter for napkins which he said he would bring and then never did. It took a little bit of time to get the water that I ordered as well. this Denny's sees a lot of traffic but also shows a lot of wear. The booth across from me had a seat torn down the middle which was put together with duct tape. I would say for most this will be a typical Denny's experience. a little run-down a little rough around the edges. But it's a Denny's. What more can you expect? My rating system consists of a 3-star being exactly what you expected and neither good nor bad. A 4 means something was extra special and a 5 means you were blown away. A 2 star rating was disappointing and a 1-star rating is terrible. read more

Denny's used to be a wonderful place to eat. The last time I was there I literally sat at the table for half an hour, didn't even get somebody to take a drink order. Of course, this was after waiting at the door for almost 20 minutes for somebody to take me to a table. Then the table wasn't clean, the floor had crap all over it. Denny's in general great place to go, this Denny's avoid. I have raided this restaurant before and they had a manager that was great accommodating people keeping employees busy and the place clean with a couple of cooks that were decent . My wife and I decided to swing by there and get food the other evening and there was only one girl working and you can tell by the looks on people's faces that they have been waiting for food for a very long time we sat down waited 10 minutes and didn't even order got up and talked to the family at the booth next to us it said they've been waiting an hour and that you could see it in their faces their drinks were empty and once again there was only one waitress that we saw I asked her if she would send the manager out front I basically told him that he needed to get off his butt and do his job to which he responded he appreciated my input then walked away they definitely need someone to manage the restaurant that can do the job and keep the people in this area happy otherwise there's a restaurant across town that currently is much much better. read more

This Denny's is only getting a 2 star review instead of a 1 star review because the waitress was trying her best and she was good with no support from her team. I'm in town traveling for work and I have to say this was my worst dinning experience in the Safford area. I ate here about 7:00pm on a Tuesday night, it's not that busy. That's the best of it, things just spiral out of control from there. I'm seated and some fruit is brought to me in place of bread at my request only I don't have silverware. After I tell a staff member this it is corrected. I end- up waiting about 40 minutes for my food, the pot roast bowl is brought out. When I finally get the food it's borderline cold with the carrots being kinda tough. I'm thinking instant mashed potatoes were used here. The waitress was apologizing for the wait saying " I couldn't find the cook again." As she would refill my drink or ask me if there was anything else she could bring " us" odd as I was dining alone. In this time I also noticed that some large families are sat beside me who waited a very long time for their food as well. I eat, and check out after waiting about 10 minutes at the table for my check. The person who checked me out manager I'm assuming didn't ask how my food was. She originally got my total wrong because she wasn't sure what to ring me up for based on my table number. I tell her what I had and how my food was cold. She responds that they only had one cook that night and she's sorry. Wait, that's not what the waitress said. I tell her what was said to me and I notice a tone of defense in her reply " no, she was back there all night." Hmm, ok it's small town, are they related, friends, covering up for some who know's what going on outside? Now I'm just done with this whole experience. The manager never offers a percent off, some coupons for next time, a dessert, nothing but a slight sorry. I travel for work quite a bit and have a generous pier diem for food. Good food an GREAT service. We always go there after choir concerts. I like their salads the best, but their breakfast foods and smoothies are also yummy! We did have a long wait, but it was super busy. The people at the table next to us were giving the waiters a hard time, but they ended up getting free food. This is the only restaurant open right now that you can dine in and I am so grateful for that. They kept everyone at a distance from each other, the servers wore masks and they used disposable ketchup and mustards. The server was excellent. She kept checking on us, giving us more coffee and had a pleasant attitude. The reason I didn't give so many stars is the server next to us was complaining to everyone that she hated they were open, she hated she had to wear masks and that it was nice for us but not them and that was very off putting while trying to eat a nice meal. Went to Denny's three times in the past two weeks. Food is good and service friendly.

Stayed at Springfield Suites and wanted someplace close for dinner, so chose Denny's expecting poor service after reading the reviews. We were pleasantly surprised. Cory greeted us, showed us to table, and immediately took our drink order. Seemed unusual that no beer or wine at this location, but not a big deal. Cory returned as soon as we closed our menus and took our order. Our vege skillets were served in about 10 min and both were excellently prepared. We are not usually Denny's fans, but would return to this location anytime 5-18-18. 9AM Free hotel breakfast didn't look good, so returned to Denny's. They were very busy, but we had great service and food. Samantha was very efficient and took good care of us. Both of us had pancakes and shared a plate of eggs, potato's, and bacon. Stop to grab a bite to eat. This place was just awful. The staff is lazy, including the manager. The manger appears not to care about customer service, the cleanliness of the restaurant or how his staff conducts themselves. The staff mostly standing around just talking. My family and I waited 45 minutes after ordering. As we waited I saw an employee go into the restroom carrying silverware and came right back out with it. Straight to the back of the food preparing area with that silverware. The restroom was pretty bad, human stained toilets, floors not swept or mopped. I even mentioned this to the employees. I saw no one make an attempt. Nobody would bus the tables to clean up, floors were gross. Full of garbage not swept. After noticing the family near us had barely got their food and they where saying there food was cold was barely warm. I saw their frustration and they had already been there longer then we had been. I voiced my thoughts calmly and left. I've always enjoyed Denny's. But they have just gone totally down hill. And to be honest they DO NOT deserve the 1 star. read more

Ive never had such a poor experience at Dennys in Thatcher AZ. My server was extremely rude, she was making very rude comments and you could hear her in the back talking poorly about customers, coworkers you name it. Not only do i not want to return to this restaurant i want to make sure everyone else knows the potential hazard they could be facing by having this server who clearly should not be working in customer service. The server/waitress was awesome, and the food was OK. Only problem was the music was so loud we couldn't have a conversation with the people at our own table. When we asked the "sometimes" manager, Andrew, to turn it down he was VERY rude, and acted like we were bothering him. Denny's always has a great glass of iced tea. It is a great place for friends to go, sit and chat a while. The 2-4-6-8 menu is also great to get something quick and good. The biscuits and gravy with has browns and eggs, $4. Perhaps the slam with pancakes, 2 eggs, bacon or sausage, $4, or the quesadilla burger, $6. Good place to sit and chat and a bit of eats. Service can be slow. Check your order when it comes to the table, make sure all your ingredients from the menu is there, if they say they are out of one, ask for a substitute for the let off ingredient. read more

There aren't a to of choices in the Safford/thatcher area. The are even fewer after 10:00 pm. Everywhere we went was closed, so I was forced to dine at Denny's. The food selection and preparation is diner typical; however Denny's has added several healthier options. I had the grilled salmon with broccoli and multi-grain rice. I expected the broccoli to be drowning in butter as is typical at a diner; however this broccoli was neither overcooked nor swimming in fat which I liked. The salmon was a bit dry but to me that's better than it being Fried in grease. My husband had a very tasty salad with cranberries and candid pecans, multiple types of lettuce and sliced grilled chicken breasts The waitress was very good and very friendly but as is typical they were a bit understaffed however the waitress did not become unpleasant.
