We came in for breakfast on a busy Saturday morning and was immediately greeted by Teresa S. and so glad we were. She was amazing. Her service was impeccable. While at the restaurant a situation happened at another table she jumped right in and handled it like a rock star. She appears to be the glue that holds it together. Other employees were observed also doing an amazing job. As for the food, it came hot and fast. The chef's did an amazing job as well. We stopped by this Denny's right off the freeway looking for a quick bite to eat but no expecting anything special. We were greeted and taken to our seats as soon as we walked in. Our server Tammy, was full of personality and not dry like a lot of servers I've been accustomed to in the past. She took brought our drinks, took our order (without a notepad or pen..), and had left us with a laugh why we waited for our food to arrive. I was surprised with how clean the restaurant was and everyone was busy doing something. Normally I see servers on their phones, with dirty tables and food waiting to be served. Everyone was helping each other, wiping things down, and our food was delivered in what seemed like less than 10 mins after our food was ordered. I don't know who they have cooking back there but this was the best meal I've had in a restaurant in a long time. My steak and eyes were cooked just the way I asked. Our drinks were topped off before we had to ask and Tammy checked on us several times to make sure we were enjoying our meal. She took our plates off the table as we finished and really went out of her way to make sure we had the best experience possible. This was by far the best service and experience I've had in a while at any restaurant, let alone Denny's. If you're looking for dinner for breakfast you can't go wrong giving this Denny's a try. Who doesn't love breakfast for dinner?? We stopped by this location because it was right off the freeway but what a great experience it ended up being! We were waited on by Tammy-- she was amazing! She was friendly & funny and took our complicated order of 3 accurately. Drinks were refilled without asking and condiments were brought promptly without request. This was the drop off spot for my kid. Her mom or stepdad would pick her up. In the early days we played frisbee in the parking lot while we waited. Later we did stuff on our phones. Scanning the parking lot I noticed other parents doing the same thing. It's a good halfway point when one parent lives in LA and the other in San Diego. The food here is ok. My fav item is the vanilla shake while my kid prefers the Oreo shake. I tried the Oreo shake. Taste just like an Oreo cookie mixed with ice cream and milk.  I liked the combination of flavors and the texture of the slowly melting ice cream.  I ordered it extra thick as I prefer the higher ice cream ratio.  Vanilla shake was cold, creamy, and had a nice vanilla flavor. My most recent meal here was the t bone steak with fried shrimp. I ordered it cooked medium and it was cooked a bit more which was exactly the way I like it. Beef was tender and juicy. Flavor was very minimal. Guess that's why they brought 3 different sauces to the table with the steak. I added some pepper which added some needed flavor. I prefer salt and pepper is added before cooking to form a crust rather than adding it afterwards. Shrimp had a thick crunchy batter which gave it a salty flavor. Meal was reasonably priced and I was far away from my kitchen. I rarely come here now that my kid spends most of her time at NYU Shanghai. I miss the old days when we would play Frisbee in the parking lot as day turned to night. read more

There's very few options in the area past 8:30pm so you may not have much of a choice but to eat here. Don't expect much and maybe you won't be disappointed. Several people stood at the register for quite a while without being acknowledged, including one person who was there to pick up a to-go order for a delivery service (I'm fairly certain their food is being delivered cold). Once the server was able to handle 4 things single-handedly, a completely different server suddenly appeared and seemed to struggle putting in a relatively simple order. The food was ready fairly quickly but quality was clearly not top of mind. The hash browns were raw, the pancake puppies were burnt to a crisp. How they managed to completely under cook one thing and over cook the other seems to be on brand for this location. I'm sure my food would have tasted fine had it been prepared correctly. This is easily the worst order a Denny's has ever served to me. Terrible. read more

This was my first time at this location. I was craving pancakes and decided to try out Denny's. Overall, I had a great experience. Parking was easy, and the store was clean. I was greeted right away and seated promptly. Tammy was my server, she had great energy and was extremely helpful anticipating what I might need before I asked. Just moved to San Clemente and stopped here for dinner tonight. The music was so loud, we felt like we were at a disco. We asked 3 people to turn the music down and all said they couldn't. We heard several other customers ask them as well and the response was "everybody else likes it". To add insult to injury, my pot roast melt was all fat and my husbands sirloin steak was terribly tough. We won't be stopping here any more. So disappointed in this place. read more

wow went by Denny's impromptu after working out for dinner. Stop and I only do breakfast at Denny's and I was pleasantly surprised with this bourbon chicken sizzling skillet. just an array of vegetables with a great bourbon sauce poured over to chicken breast great value great food. The best service and coffee, our food was nice and hot when received and THERESA provided the BEST service. I am starting to frequent this location more as it's conveniently on the way home for me! My 2nd visit was just as pleasurable as my first. Was greeted nicely and it made me feel good that they remembered my name! As usual everything and everyone was on point but this time, i would like to recognize Eva the manager. Although I've eaten at this Dennys in the past, this was the first time I had Tammy as my server. Her professional, friendly and courteous service was, "excellent". She knew the menu very well, and I never had to wait to have any of my requests filled. Her friendly and hospitable demeanor was a real pleasure. That made my dining experience truly "fantastic". If I could give Tammy 10 stars I would. She deserves it. Please let her know that she does an excellent job. She's a very nice, friendly person. I really enjoyed having her as my server. I would have gave 5 stars but that's man over the phone just kept arguing with me. I pulled into the curbside pick up like it told me to do on my receipt via Email from ordering online, called the number it told me to call to let them know I had arrived and the man just kept arguing with me they don't do delivery and who am I with postmates, Uber eats! I kept saying I made an online order I'm here to pick it up and again he just argued with me "yes you can make an order do you want to make it now". I explained very slowly to him again my name and that I made an online order and I am here to pick it up but he still was not getting it. At this point I said I'm just coming inside and once I was inside the man that I spoke to wouldn't even look at me. Another man came over I said I'm here to pick up my order it's for "Debra" and he was like "oh here" I had to argue with him for 20 minutes I don't understand why he answered the phone if he doesn't understand what curbside pick up is or well anything I said period, he didn't understand anything. Ok, i went at like 11:30 AM on a friday, it wasn't super busy, i sat with my lady at the "bar" and was greeted by Erik, this man knows exactly how two people want a nice easy breakfast date to go. He suggested a meal perfectly priced for two that featured a wide variety of items and it all came out the kitchen quickly and tasted a bit better than most denny's i've ever been to, seemed like they have vanilla in the pancake batter or something. I would guess they are having a bad day but judging by the other reviews, I'm guessing they are having a bad year. This will be the first and last time I eat here. Stopped by for a bite on our way home from visiting family and friends for Christmas. The place was hopping. We were seated immediately. There was a fairly lengthy wait for a server, but considering how busy they were, it was understandable. We had ample time to peruse the menu and when our server returned, we were ready to order. Our iced tea was served without iced tea spoons, lemon, or enough ice. But it was wet, and we were happy. More ice and some lemons were brought when we asked. The wait for the food was very long. Eventually, one of our entrees was delivered, but it was incomplete, and the other entree was totally MIA. We flagged down the server when we could to ask what was going on. Apparently they ran out of cranberry sauce, and the second entree was yoinked out of the window by another server! Ok, it happens. Cranberry sauce is good with turkey, but not necessary. Extra gravy was provided. I sent back my turkey dinner to wait in the warming area while the other entree was remade. It took a while, but it came out delicious. I was concerned that time under the warmer would dry out the turkey, but fortunately, it was still very good. There were only 2 pieces, not the 3 shown in the picture, but I was plenty full on 2. The stuffing was surprisingly good. The red skin mashed potatoes were delicious. We split a piece of pecan pie with whipped cream. It was a lovely ending to the meal. Through all this, Aaron, our server, was upbeat, positive, good humored. His grace under fire was commendable. Was the meal perfect? No, of course it wasn't. Was the service speedy? Nope, not at all. Did it ruin our experience? Not in the least. We were happy and thankful to have a decent meal. We appreciate the people who worked tonight, on a holiday, so I wouldn't have to cook after a long day of travelling. Will we stop in again in the future? You bet! Thanks.
