Best Denny's from Salina's! Customer service was 10/10! And the food was very delicious.

Today I placed a delivery order with Dennys at 2005 north mains street. Part of the order was ok. The cheesburger and fries was disgusting. The fries were ice cold and the cheesburger looked like someone dropped and then smashed it trying to rewrap it. When I called to discuss this they hung up on me. Twice. Went in alone. One other table. Service was bad. Waited five minutes for a soda refill. Went in for the advertised special. Fish sandwich was twice as much as expected. Specials are "from" advertised price. Asked if I wanted seasoned fries. Sure. Fish sandwich is better at McDonald's. Paid the bill expecting $10-15 (cost of soda). Was over $18. Turns out they charge $2.49 extra for seasoned fries instead of regular fries McDonald's fries are better also. Will not return to a Dennys. read more

This is a killer Dennys !!! Not all Dennys are created equal! The Dennys over on north main serves dog food compared to this one. I usually go Thursday or Friday at 3am and the waitress and waiter I usually have are great! But what sets it apart is the food!!! Even the most basic stuff is delicious. I don't know if it's the cook they got there or ownership but they're doing it right! Literally anything we order comes out piping hot and tatted amazing. There are no stars with this one! We just got scammed for $105!! Call to order online gave a credit card number after placing the order went to the store to pick up the order the order they say was not there. The waiter and another waitress were the only ones working there was no manager on duty, how convenient! The waiter that I talked to when I first walked in and told me that there was no order that it was the wrong store when I know for a fact it was the right store because I called that number when I was in that Denny's and he answered the phone! Things started getting a little suspicious and he was very very rude and became even more rude when I was asking him to please help me figure out why the order was not there and possibly if it was at another Denny's. The waiter told me we got scammed immediately and said be more careful next time when you make an online order and give your credit card! We are going to the police to make a report and find out who the manager is and why they weren't there because this man the waiter I did not get his name (because he wouldn't give it to me & no name tag) is the one who was involved in this scam. I went back home without food from Denny's and had to tell my mom what happened because it was her credit card she instantly went online to lock her card and hello and behold there was a credit of that $105 immediately put back on right after I left Denny's!! It's 10:02am I'm not sure if they're short staffed or what but I have already seen 2-3 parties leave due to the no greeting customers, slow service, and dirty tables. I think I saw the franchise owner come in and hesitantly work the register with an unpleasant face while some lady behind him is casually texting on her phone for over 20 minutes. Great coffee, as usual, with plenty of free refills. The senior breakfast menu is a good value. , Francisco served me at a late night hour and he was so courteous and attentive. Really nice young man. The rest of the wait staff was also very nice. This location had a lot of customers coming in from the annual rodeo crowd. Fun seeing everyone dressed up with their cowboy boots and hats (even the ladies). The women's restroom was clean and had plenty of paper towels. Definitely will return. read more

There didn't seem to be any food options open late near our lodging so this was our only option. We went here and parked in the designated parking lot in back. We walked up the path to enter and place our order. They allowed us to wait inside. Nobody else was there. They were nice and answered all my questions. My friends got the cookies and cream shakes and I was tempted to get one but it was so cold so I didn't. While we waited we played the game to catch a toy but didn't win. I ordered the new and improved chicken recipe (basically chicken tenders), without fries. My friend got the Cali chicken burrito and my other friend got a pancakes meal. It came in a to go box with a layer on top with the pancakes so they didn't get soggy from the rest of her food. The lady was nice about the sauces. I wanted to try two and she was fine with that. This was always one of my favorite places to eat in Salinas..especially breakfast. Loved those hash browns with bacon on the side. And never could decide which omelette to order. And what a bargain the slam was. So much food for so low a cost. And no cutting on the quality either. The service was always above board, and the hostess always was ready to greet you with a smile . Let me start by saying that my server was very nice, welcomed me to Denny's and checked in on me to make sure my food was good. I know this sounds very basic and it is but a lot of places you can't even get this. I got the prime rib cheese steak sandwich. It was tasty but I would have to disagree that the meat was a prime cut. Weird thing is there was no cheese but rather a bland white gravy of sorts. See pic. This location needs to train staff on how to process a VISA gift card. I have received many gift cards and various locations have never had a problem processing them. I explained twice that of course the full amount of the meal tab would not process as the gift card was for only $25. I told him the balance would be paid in cash. Still no idea on how to process the transaction. We just paid in cash and left. This was not a new employee. I had a full expectation of the gift card process going smoothly. Sooo the other night at work my night shifters and I ordered off Uber Eats from a company named "The Burger Den". When I realized I didn't know of any place called The Burger Den that was in the same vicinity as Denny's, I tried searching on yelp and Google maps, etc. and couldn't find it. When the Uber driver Delivered, and I went out and asked him where The Burger Den was he proceeded to tell me it was near Carls Jr. on the corner of Blanco and Abbott Street. I said, "Isn't that where Denny's is?" He told me yes and then I asked if they were from there. He said yes he picked up from Denny's. We were in complete shock, could not believe they were attempting to sell their food under another name and worst of all they did so apparently to be able to sell for $2 or $3 MORE!!!! Went into Denny's after church with my family. The food was great everything was fresh but there was a server by the name of Linda, I had asked her for some extra napkins and she kind of pretty much ignored me I'm assuming because I was not in her section but when you work at a restaurant like that with other people you're supposed to be on the on the same team. Either she didn't want to help me because I was not intersection or she just having a bad day. So if you're having a bad day don't go to work we're going to be dealing with customers. It always has to be One Bad Apple in the group everybody else was pleasant and nice. I hate to post a bad review cuz I just came from church but it bothered me. Just had lunch here. We avoided Denny's for a while because we just moved back here from Oakland and we never really had a good experience with Denny's there. We are so glad we gave it another shot, cause the service and the food was very good. So much better here. Our server, Saira, was really nice and attentive. When we made our order, we asked that our veggie skillets not be cooked with butter, that the toast not have butter on it too. She double checked and repeated it back. It means a lot to us because usually, servers get our order wrong when we ask for things like that. When our drinks were half empty, she brought more. When she heard that the ketchup was empty when we tried to squeeze it, she brought another. We never had to ask for anything. The food came out perfect, and just as we asked for it. We didn't have to wait long for it. Our experience here has redeemed Denny's for us and we will definitely come back now. read more

A couple days ago I was craving breakfast for dinner. I ordered the grand slam and milkshake. My food arrived hot and delicious. I asked for an extra think milkshake and it was made to perfection. The pancakes were fluffy and cooked just right. I forgot to ask for soft hash browns, they were crispier than I prefer but, that one is on me. The meal so so good I ordered again today. Today my family decided to order from this Denny's location by Doordash and since it was our very first time ordering from this Denny's location we decided to give it a try. Minutes later when we got our order my mom discovered that everything was cold and Dad's chicken fried steak was missing a few things and my mom's chicken fried steak and my burger was also cold. We couldn't figure out the reason why our Denny's order was cold but my burger was good and my mom and dad's food was great.
