He asked me to breakfast and he looked up places to go here in Rio Rancho and found this restaurant online with good ratings. Ambiance The ambiance is cute, nothing fancy, comfortable, cheery (for instance live plants) and more importantly-different. I love when restaurants have their own style and don't look like other restaurants. For instance they have one seating area that is a booth seat with various different pillows. And there are two tops with both chairs and a bench. Simple, clean, charming. Service The waitress was friendly and admitted she was fairly new, which we wouldn't have known because for being new she was an above average waitress. Food I was surprised to see such original food. They had more of a global kind of food with definite nods to regional new Mexican favorites. For instance they had 'Madame Hatch', which was a classic Croque Madame sandwhich with green chile. The bread/ham/mornay sauce/basted egg were all cooked to perfection and tasted wonderful. 'Bombay Bagel' which was a French toast bagel, with goat cheese, black forest ham, sundried tomato, hardboiled egg, lemon honey, and microgreens, fruit. And NM classics like a smothered breakfast burrito. I attached pics of the menu so you can see everything they offer. Everything was appropriately priced, Not cheap, not expensive. Each dish was $11.00-$16.00 They serve breakfast and lunch. They also have a good, large selection of yummy, homemade desserts. If you're looking for good food, good service, something different but also great classics you need to check this place out.

I let him know I was in a hurry because I had an appointment, and he immediately made sure I was taken care of. I really appreciated that level of attentiveness. Definitely a spot I'll be coming back to!

Having had family that have served it was nice to see how they honored veterans with their photos. I got the turkey sandwich, they let me modify it which I do feel bad for asking for but they were extremely kind about it. They made the sandwich to perfection. The turkey is moist and smoked with nice heavy flavor. The lettuce is crunchy and not to much. Yes I have had to much lettuce before and all I can say is it's not a filler ingredient. And Iron Wood Kitchen understands this. They use the right amount to add some flavor but not over power it. The cheese and mayo tastes home made great quality. To top it off the sour dough bread is toasted just right. Brown / golden light butter feel melts in your mouth. The chips I got as a side were tasty, regular kettle potato chips pairs well with the turkey sandwich. Place was clean and ran well. Would recommend to locals and tourists visiting.

Wow . This was one of the best DoorDash meals I've had in a very very long time. The food itself is…read morea very solid 5+ star meal. Outstanding! I don't even know where to start but here goes. The New Mexican Philly cheesesteak, arguably my favorite dish, very very different take on what a cheesesteak usually is (not in a bad way). I was first skeptical when I ordered it, but I saw all the great reviews on the dish so I had to try. This was oddly enough my 4th favorite Philly cheesesteak I've ever had, which is weird to say because the first 3 favorites were actually in Philly and made the traditional way. Something about the spicy queso sauce and the soft fatty tasting meat just really brought it home. The huevos rancheros: every inch was flavorful , saucy, cheesy and lovely. I enjoyed even more the parts where I could also taste the tortilla at the bottom, wish it was in more of the dish but it's okay the flavors were outstanding. Another 5 star dish! Next time I'll also try it with eggs over medium. The Xmas chile cheese fries: best chile cheese fries in New Mexico! The fries themselves tasted like they were hand cut, so either they had some high quality freezer fries or they definitely cut those fries by hand. Either way I wasn't complaining! Their green chile was insanely good. We also had the Green Chile stew, the flavors and ingredients were really good. I think for people that love home cooking this will feel really nostalgic for them. Like grandmas caldo she used to make. For me, the dry texture of the beef reminded me way too much of my mom's dry / rough beef she always had in her stews . Objectively I can say it was a really nice caldo, but the tortillas, not sure how I could grab on to much of the food with it really. I think this might be a dish best eaten in house. I also tipped their staff $2 in addition to the driver tip , and they wrote a funny joke on the plate which I thought was cute haha. I kept the rating at 5 stars but I hope that management reads this review because I do have one critique. All the food was in styrofoam and non sustainable plastic. Styrofoam especially has been banned from some places including California because when heated it, it adds cancer causing chemicals into your food. I would gladly pay $0.35 per meal to receive the meals in sustainable packaging that will keep me healthy. Because of this, I think I won't be ordering from here for delivery and hope that I have time to make the 20 minute drive to go there in person. It's really good food! Found this place on DoorDash but the funny part is it's been near my house the whole time next to the barber shop I've been to plenty of times.

I stopped by for lunch and found the menu offered a nice variety of choices. I ordered the Los Ranchos Turkey sandwich with homemade chips and a Lavender Iced Tea. Both were flavorful, and the homemade chips were an unexpected treat. The iced tea was ready right away and was a refreshing complement to the meal. My sandwich arrived about 24 minutes after ordering, which may have been due to the lunch rush. Including tip, lunch came to about $30. While the price point felt a little high for the overall experience, the quality and flavor of the food helped balance that out. Overall, I enjoyed the food and appreciate having another locally owned option in the neighborhood.

Time to update my review! Came here last year for breakfast and this year we came for dinner…read more Location is still amazing. Set on a working farm since 1936. This place serves as a hotel and spa (in addition to being a restaurant). This is my favorite restaurant in Albuquerque and one you should really try if you come here. *****CAUTION*****. This place is EXPENSIVE and maybe overpriced, but if you are a "foodie" like me you won't mind paying extra for the experience. What we had: APPETIZERS: 1 - bread plate - this was amazing! Love the fresh baked bread! Almost ordered a 2nd plate of bread but resisted so I could order dessert. 2 - pickle jar - fresh pickles from the farm and a nice pallet cleanser. 3 - Pork Memela - interesting combo with a thick fresh tortilla on the bottom, refried beans, and fried pork belly topped with pickled goodness. Unique combo and it worked 4 - Zaatar Lemon Salad - this we disappointing and we didn't realize it has arugula instead of lettuce. MAIN DISHES 1 - Native Ribeye - generous portion of steak cooked to perfection and grilled on the BBQ fire grill. Seasoned to perfection and served on top of farm fresh roasted potatoes and carrots. Loved it! Potatoes were my favorite pork of the dish. 2 - Sea Scallops - also really good and included some unique flavor combos and twists to scallops that also really worked 3 - salmon ceviche - this dish was just ok. Salmon was fresh and all but we didn't think it was a good match for a "ceviche." DESSERTS: 1 - plumb upside down cake - probably our favorite dessert. Wish the slice of cake was bigger 2 - Stone Fruit Tart - 2nd favorite dessert and came with a homemade ice cream that was AMAZING. 3 - Mocha Pecan Tort - least memorable of the desserts it was just OK.

To start, we both got an iced chai that hit the spot. While many items on their menu looked enticing, I opted for the egg white omelette with a side of sausage. Everything was good but surprisingly the bread (toast) was phenomenal. I was able to steal a bite of my friend's blue corn pancakes but did not care for the flavor or texture - I think I just prefer a sweeter, classic pancake. Service was pretty good, very friendly, except we had to ask multiple times for a new fly fan (ours ran out of battery) and a new one never came. Usually not a big deal but the flies were really, really bad and made our meal less enjoyable. However, with good food and friendly service in a nice setting, I would still recommend Campo for brunch.
