So It is Xmas 2024, me and my mom need a vacation. It is almost becoming a tradition now that me and her doing road trips together at least one a year. We are back to Pismo Beach. Our experience from last year was great, so here we are. This time, we decided to go easy on the food. We picked Denny's as our main dining option. We know the menu quite well and the pricing is fine. We had dinner for 2 nights here and had good experience for both times. Our waiter, Bryan, was quick, friendly and attentive. Our food was good. Dining area are well kept. I like it here at bit better because it has some old school feel. All the newly built Denny's in our area doesnt offer the same feeling. Overall, it is a 5 stars from me.

It's Denny's! Not "The Meltdown"!!! I'm out of town, 10pm, decide to DoorDash, find some good looking food, order online through DoorDash. It doesn't give me options to add ketchup and ranch, so I click on pick it up. Click on the app map and off I go. Here's the big problem. I'm looking for a restaurant called "The Meltdown" that's who I ordered from, that's who I paid online. I followed the map 2 miles down the road and I end up at Denny's. I think the map Must be wrong. Denny's is definitely Denny's not a place called The Meltdown". I stop at the gas station next door, ask the guy if he knows of "The Meltdown" he says it's probably further down the road where the nice restaurants are. I drive over there, looking around, not here either. Long story short, I go back to Denny's and ask if they have heard of a place called The Meltdown. She says sure that's us, we also go by ??? Burrito and The Burger Den and some other place. WTF??????? Why???????? Now I'm 20 min late to pick up my cold food that's supposed to be hot and I'm pissed off! AYFKM???? The food was of course terrible! The ambiance is disturbing. Looked like it hasn't been cleaned in years. Crack heads outside with vicious pit bulls and no leashes. It's a mess. Don't go to this place. Look at my food pics. How about that mess, all cold for $28. Gross. Greg's going to love this review.

My earlier comment was removed. I have since downgraded my opinion of this location. The General manager, Beatrice, and her wait staff are horrible. Listening to them disparage customers by talking about them behind their back within hearing distance of me and other customers is so unprofessional. I couldn't get their attention for more coffee whilst they chatted away behind the counter. The night manager, however, is very nice and professional. It seems the only customers who keep this location going are the take-out or delivery orders. The chefs are also not to blame for this downgrade. I might add that a lot of cops patrol their parking lot and I suspect there could be drug deals taking place outside which isn't safe. Hope my review doesn't get removed again.

Hello Dennys, my first visit to this location. It's 5am, I'm waiting for a ride at 7, I have my sunglasses on and it's dark out. So WoW, Dennys has a "new" bacon, it's like real bacon. Not the pre cooked, paper thin, prefab strips of the past. Yea! So I have a long ride today and I'm goin' for the breakfast this morning. Denver Omelet, no hashers fruit. The fruit was fresh seasonal and plentiful. The bacon side order made it on the check too. This really was an exceptional breakfast something the foodguy would never say about Denny's but hey thats where the credit was due today. Not sure if it's my lucky day but it's certainly off to a very good start. Maybe we'll see you here on morning. Foodguy-Martin

Barbara was amazing very quick service and the food was amazing. the other stuff was very helpful as well. They all were very great at helping and being informative.

I love Denny period but I'm almost very picky with my food .Good service, very accommodating and it's very clean. My server was amazing because I explained to her how I like the food and she did a great job for me to leave a big tip. Overall do I still eat here rather than the one in slo.YES! Though the restaurant does need a makeover and maybe more staff but my order is always good. 10/10

A group of us went for dinner and I had the Western Burger and fries. The burger had good flavor with the ingredients tasting very fresh. The conversation was good, so I didn't pay that much attention to what others ordered, but everyone said their dishes tasted good. Our food arrived quickly and I would definitely come back again to try one of the other sandwiches or burgers, if we are in the neighborhood. The only drawback to this restaurant was that they close at 7:30pm daily, a bit early for my dining habits. The location is conveniently located on Grand Avenue, not far from the Hwy 101 off-ramps and on-ramps, and they have a large parking lot that is easy to pull in to.

Both were served with mashed potatoes, a medley of veggies, and garlic bread. My CFS was terrific, very old school in a great way! The sausage gravy had bits if actual meat, and was very flavorful. The steak itself was a large portion, served piping hot! The mashed potatoes are garlicky; not keen on sausage gravy on them for next time. The pork loin is also a large portion, snd it as well done as ordered. It was well seasoned and also piping hot at the table! The garlic bread was simple and delicious. A large slice of french bread, very buttery and a garlic flavor that stood out but did not overwhelm. Service was not lightning fast, but still very good, and especially friendly. We heard people raving about the turkey dinner and the meatloaf, so we'll have to come back and try those! Dessert also caught our eye; they're homemade onsite! We'll definitely be back soon!

Hum whats nearby the theatre, alot of places to eat really...we'd liked the A town diner before, the menu covers it all practically so...We parked seven o'clock the dinner tush had passed and in we went. We were seated at a small booth, perfect. Drink orders taken now we needed to decide what to eat. M went with a light breakfast offering a pancake, a scrambled egg and bacon. Hum it was dinner time dear, I needed more time. The fish & chips were the special and it was Good Friday but I went big with the hot pastrami sandwich. Fries are extra so I ordered the onion rings to accompany the sammie. Pretty quick the food was out of the kitchen and on the table in front of us, wow M dove right into that 7" pancake as soon as she finished pouring on the syrup. My sandwich was a hood size on a very soft french roll a good six inches Very tasty but I always think there should be more meat than bread, there was alot of bread in that roll. Where's the beef, right... Onion rings, nothing special your average frozen beer battered Moores onion ring served late but freshly hot. We had a good meal, good service and a fair price. Was it five star, no it was a good four star, we didn't need or want anything special. Now dessert was a calling from behind that glass display when we walked in the door but tonight the stomach and the wallet forgave. We were gonna need reason for movie concessions, right? Meanwhile, I went for the Nachos Supreme, and let me tell you, they are hands down the best nachos I've ever had at 70 years old! The chips were perfectly crisp, topped with homemade refried beans, creamy sour cream, cheese, fresh guacamole, and chopped tomatoes. Each bite was a flavor explosion! The restaurant itself isn't flashy; in fact, it took us a moment to spot the sign, which was partly hidden by a hedge. But stepping inside was a treat! We chose to sit in the charming garden, where a lovely mural added to the ambiance. The dining room is small and rustic, creating a cozy atmosphere that felt inviting. The service was exceptional, with a friendly young couple attending to us. The young man even took the time to sit with us, asking where we were from and sharing tips about nearby treasures. It's refreshing to experience such genuine, old-fashioned customer service these days. I can't recommend Charlie's enough! Their extensive menu is full of tempting options, and the mouthwatering aromas made it hard to resist trying more. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in the area--perhaps for those onion rings next time!
