Pretty good food, overpriced though and the servers upsell you hard (I assume because they get commission). Not worth it to be frank

Double Smash w/ Truffle Cheese Fries
    Karena S.

Was visiting a few friends and I stumbled upon the Wednesday $9 double smash burger with fries that the restaurant had promoting. We decided to give it a try since it was such a steal. We walked into the restaurant and stood there for about 5 minutes until someone greeted us. There were a few staff members that were serving food to other customers and just stared at us without acknowledgment. We kinda just stood there and stared back at them hoping they would seat us. We were finally greeted after another party came in and held the front door open since there wasn't much room to wait. Our server was great! He was extremely attentive to us and gave us great options for appetizers and drinks. I ordered the $9 deal and was able to upgrade the regular fries to truffle cheese fries for only $3. The burger was juicy and saucy and the fries were crispy and had a great truffle taste. I would go back again but maybe only take-out.

I love Eureka! We eat there a lot! I always enjoy this seared salmon with the exception of this particular meal. It was seared so lightly that the middle was completely pink/raw and a little too lightly cooked for my liking so I didn't try it. Usually, the seared salmon is cooked to perfection not too much not too little, but it is cooked thoroughly all the way through. Everyone has an off day or an off night, super busy, overwhelmed and overworked, so I didn't really see the point in making a big deal about it. Had salmon been cooked as usual? I have ZERO doubt I would've loved this combo as much as, or more, than the salmon, fingerling potatoes and seared green beans. Which is my usual go to at eureka & it's delish! (Do wish they'd bring bk the mashed potato option tho!) comfort food always trumps fancy fingerlings for me.

The Al Pastor Fish Tacos were a good, light, yet hearty dish to pick.

Gotta come back and try the burger options. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe was cool here and you can see this is a hotspot on Saturday nights.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] All of the photos looked good but what I saw. The vibe was cool, staff could've a little more attentive, but it was late and they were pretty busy. But I still tipped solid.

Solid choice for lunch or dinner. We popped in early afternoon on a Wednesday and were seated almost right away. The hostess and server were friendly and attentive. The tomato soup and grilled cheese was delicious - the soup was really thick and good for dipping. The southwest salad was filling even without protein. Highly recommend.

We needed a place to watch our WNBA Champion Las Vegas Aces play basketball while we were in SLO. We walked downtown and walked right into this great place. We decided to sit at the bar so we could have a good seat for the game. The bartender was so nice and made sure all the TV's had our game on. This restaurant is a nice size and has a great location on the corner of Churro Street. Patio seating allows for one to people watch and enjoy the fresh air. A great menu including shareable plates, burgers, handhelds, knife and fork, salads, desserts and sides. They also have a HH during the week. I enjoyed a nice, cold beer and my daughter had a mimosa. My husband was leaving us after the game to drive home so he just had a coke. I decided to order the Fish and Chips and so we could share it. The Fish and Chips were served with smashed potatoes and the mahi mahi was just so fresh. My daughter went with the All World Breakfast Burrito minus the bacon since she is a vegetarian. We both really enjoyed our meals. Parking is a challenge and on the street or you can drive to locate public parking in a lot. We walk to downtown as much as possible to avoid the hassle. The vibe here is so relaxed and we had good service. I will definitely return here next time I am here in SLO as I saw some other interesting food I would like to try on the menu.

Great burgers, great staff and great drinks! I had been passing by this place for years and so glad I went in and tried it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a perfect spot for a lunch with a friend or dinner with coworkers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I recommend trying a burger and cocktail.

We ate lunch at the Eureka! in SLO. Everything about the meal was great, from start to finish. We were seated near the window and the street view was lively... Lots of people watching, which is always fun. Hubs wanted a beer, but wasn't sure of which type he would like. Our server asked him a few questions and offered a recommendation for the Andersonville Boont Amber. He ordered it and loved it! Great recommendation! I ordered a diet Coke and the server also made sure my glass was always full... Refill after refill. Thank you! After considering the menu, I ordered the American and hubs ordered the wagyu Burger. Both were delivered as ordered and were delicious. Our server returned to check on us, made sure we had everything we needed, and asked if we would like to order dessert. As soon as we were done with our meal, our plates were cleared and the check was brought in an unhurried fashion, but also quickly. We appreciated that. We were in and out in under an hour and never felt rushed. We would return to Eureka! again. The server tipped us off to join the rewards club and we would get 15% off our bill the next time we came in. Which we will do next time we are in slo.

Was here for a celebration. My daughter and I split the crispy, roasted Brussel Sprouts, which were yummy! They had a slight kick (spicy), and they disappeared pretty quickly. We also both got the Southwestern Salad which was delish. My daughter had the Ranch dressing which came with it, and I asked for a clear vinaigrette, that was excellent. I got the Mimosa Flight, which did not disappoint. Our server, Rick, was super friendly and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The only negative thing I can say, is that the bathrooms need a deep clean. They are NOT up to standard in an eatery.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They could use a bathroom remodel as well, though that's not the responsibility of the restaurant. Other than that, it was a good experience!

We've been wanting to try Eureka! out in our area but hadn't had the chance, so when we spotted one on our trip to SLO we stopped in for dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The atmosphere is chill, and the staff were all very personable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The starters were quite small, but tasted amazing. Especially the brussel sprouts. Our mains were portioned well, and everything tasted really good. Prices were reasonable at best, but it's 2026, I don't think we're finding many deals anymore.

I could literally eat everything on the menu. This place is soooo good and the desserts are even better!! The service is great and [[HIGHLIGHT]]it's a super fun spot with it being in downtown and in the middle of the night life.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I opted to do a trio with the bahn mi, tip o' Argentina, and the garlic fries. The food was good I forgot to take a picture! The tip o' Argentina was solid with the garlic aioli and the chimmichurri perfectly complimenting the steak and the lettuce and tomato adding a little bit of freshness. The buns they use for all of their sliders are soft, slightly sweet, and don't fall apart while you're eating. The Bahn Mi was even better. I love pork but was a little skeptical about pulled pork on a slider riffing on the flavors of a bahn mi. To my surprise and delight, it tasted just like grilled Vietnamese pork, which was perfectly complimented by the fresh and pickled veggies and surprisingly hot jalapeño. Finally, I got the garlic fries which were a massive portion, crisp, and very garlicky. Everything was good and with such a large and customizable menu, I'd definitely return if I was in the area again. I also want to give a shout out to the bartender, Kelsey. I sat at the bar and her service was attentive and she was very knowledgeable about the menu. We got the opportunity to chat for a bit and I loved her vibe, so definitely consider sitting at the bar if you're dining solo or with a friend.

It is a bit off the beaten path I thought, in a seemingly industrial area and parking was hard to find at 12:30 on a Monday. We had to go down the street and around the corner since the lot was full. I got a Gouda Burger, the summer crunch salad, and garlic fries. My wife and kid also had a slider but did Italian Sprouts, mac and cheese with bacon, and sweet potato fries. The slider was good- tasty but a little messy to eat. Both servings of fries were really generous. The salad was a good mix of ingredients. However the mac and brussels sprouts were a bit disappointing. For some there is no such thing as too much bacon but for us both of these dishes definitely had too much bacon- so much that we left a lot of the bacon! And don't get me wrong, I do enjoy my bacon. Overall, a good concept but we'll definitely try some non bacon dishes next time!

An Unforgettable Creekside Birthday Brunch!…read more We reserved a table for brunch at Novo in downtown San Luis Obispo to celebrate my wife's birthday, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. We were seated almost immediately upon arrival, and we were thrilled to get a table right by the creekside--the atmosphere outdoors by the water is absolute perfection! The staff here is also wonderfully friendly and attentive. The food was incredible across the board: * Crab Omelette: I ordered this, and it was delicious. It came packed with a generous portion of blue crab, along with avocado, seasonal market vegetables, fresh hollandaise, and crispy roasted fingerling potatoes. * Portobello Benedict: Ordered by the birthday gal herself, my wife! It came served on a toasted English muffin with harissa-spiced portobello mushrooms, poached eggs, tomato, avocado, spinach, roasted fingerling potatoes, and fresh hollandaise. It was an amazing dish full of flavor. * Huevos Rancheros: Our kids shared this dish, which features two eggs poached in a fresh tomato sauce cooked with bacon, onions, fresh chiles, white cheddar, queso fresco, avocado, cilantro, and tortilla chips. It was super flavorful. * Chocolate Crêpe: The kids also got a special order of a chocolate crêpe, which they thoroughly enjoyed. * Caesar Salad: We ordered a side of Caesar salad to share, and it was fresh and great. To top off the celebration, they brought out a complimentary dessert for my wife's birthday, which was a very sweet and appreciated touch. Overall, I highly recommend Novo for delicious food, wonderful service, and an unbeatable creekside dining experience!

Very cleaver mix of Mexican and traditional entrees, along with a full scale coffee bar that would compete well against any of the commercial brew houses around. KV Lemon Poppyseed Waffle ($15) with real maple syrup, Carnitas Scramble ($16) bowl with three eggs, salsa and feta, Bonetti Bowl ($17) of potato hash and sausage saute topped with 2 eggs, bacon strips, and chipotle aioli and, Biscuits & Gravy ($14) topped with country sausage gravy, 2 over medium eggs and two bacon. Both breakfasts were loaded with flavor and the freshly brewed coffees topped it all off. We ate inside, as it was chilly outdoors, but there are tables outside on a patio and deck. We will seek Kitchen and Vine out for a return meal and our guess is that the lunches will be just as good as their friendly service. Yum.
