Really good food. We had the Lemon Poppy Seed Waffle and the Carnitas Bowl. Both are really fantastic. The waffle had just the right amount of crunchy edges, good flavor, real maple syrup, real butter. Carnitas bowl was a stir fry of potatoes, eggs, carnitas, feta cheese I think, salsa, a few onions in the mix. Really good. Tucked towards the back of the SLO Marketplace. I've been to Kitchen & Vine several times and decided this was the time to write a review. Every time I've gone the food has been delicious and well made and the staff is always friendly. We've gone there for lunch and I've really enjoyed the BLTA and the tuna sandwiches. Today I went for breakfast and got the steak and eggs and it was so good. I ordered the steak medium rare and the eggs over easy and they were both perfect for me. The potatoes are seasoned well, not very spicy and delicious. We had breakfast there today and ordered the bacon/sausage omelette with gravey & potatoes on the side. Not a good experience!. The potatoes were boiled before they were put in the skillet making them mushy; the omelette was not what I expected with little bits of bacon and sausage. Came here for breakfast before heading to Morro Bay. I'm a steak and eggs breakfast type of guy so I was happy my wife agreed to go here versus another place within the same public market. Ambiance - lots of outdoor seating but we opted to eat indoor which my wife enjoyed the country vibe and the lighting was good for those Instagram pics. You have to place an order first before sitting down. We got 2 cappuccino- they were fine. Not a lot of coffee imo, a lot of cream on top. Steak was medium well- thick and juicy. I used the hot sauce they had on the wall counter. Helped give it a kick: the country potatoes was delish. salty and peppery which I like. Might be too seasoned for others but was good with me. The toast with butter or strawberry jam was good. Wife enjoyed the food but enjoyed more about taking pics for IG. Service was fair. The lady who took our order served the food to us if indoors. We needed a brunch spot as we were leaving town. Popped over after filling up at Costco. I'd researched a bit as I have celiac disease and must eat gluten free, Kitchen and Vine seemed like a great spot! The man who took our order was wonderful, he even offered to whip up gluten free AND vegan pancakes for me (I'm egg free and dairy free too), talk about amazing service!!! I'll have to admit, when we decided to meet friends here I wasn't very excited about the menu. Boy was I wrong to feel that way. Our party of 4 all loved what we ordered. Not sure how common it is to find lemon poppyseed waffle on a menu, but my SO raved about it. I agreed that the flavor and texture of the waffle were great. They also don't shy away from the fresh blueberries topping either, which was a great pairing for the waffle. I had the Bonetti bowl which I also enjoyed. We all devoured our food quickly and I forgot to take pictures lol There's a selection of hot sauces that you can help yourself to on their wall and free refill on black coffee. There's plenty of seating outdoors with some seating indoors. It was roomy enough for us to fit a rather large stroller next to our indoor table. read more

Came here for Saturday brunch and had a nice time! It's located in the SLO Public Market and has a cute outdoor patio and seating area. There was live music when I visited which was a nice touch! What a lovely lunch we had today! We were looking for some flavorful vegetarian dishes and they serve breakfast all day (well, until they close at 2:00PM). My husband had the "Barn Tacos" which were two huge tacos filled with assorted veggies and roasted potatoes. They topped those off with chipotle and avocado sauces which had a nice spicy kick to them. I had the Chilaquiles which also was topped with some yummy spicy sauces, including a vibrant green salsa. They are located by the SLO Public Market so the location can get a bit confusing but if you park right by the Public Market, you can easily walk over. They have an extensive outdoor seating area and a smaller indoor seating area right next to the counter at which you order. The overall vibe is very relaxed / welcoming and not too fancy or over the top. The woman that took our order was super friendly and chatted with us a bit, while also offering multiple recommendations. They have a variety of breakfast and lunch options, including salads, sandwiches, tacos and burgers! My friend ordered the lemon poppyseed waffle (of course, I tried some) and it was absolutely delicious - perfect flavor and savory, yet sweet! Sad we didn't get his name but he made our first experience memorable and because of him and the food, we are more inclined to visiting again! We ordered the Roast Beef Sando, Farmhouse Egg Sando, and a burrito! They were all very tasty and we even got free cacti drip coffee because of the sloeats app! We like the quick breakfast sandwiches on the out side deck at this historic farm property. The baked goods are melt in your mouth treats even though they are gluten free. Convenient place to meet pals and dine at the outside tables. We stop by here anytime my husband wants a traditional breakfast of Bacon, eggs, grilled potatoes, toast, and orange juice. Far away from downtown, therefore plenty of free parking. The community space has a modern farm feel, restrooms are under the faux water tower, next to the rustic windmill, lots of outdoor space to lounge and play. Coffee - I had the butter scotch flavor coffee, loved the buttery caramel taste. And the free refills is a great standalone even without cream or sugar. Avo Toast - sourdough bread was thick, good quality bread is the deal breaker. In my opinion, avocado is buttery but does not have much taste, it acts as the spread, comparable to mayo. The fried egg on top is the star of the show, and it shined as it was perfect, lightly crispy outside while still runny inside. Avo acts as the harmony. Blueberry muffin pastry - they offered to warm it up so it was 10x better, soft and warm, not too sweet. Carnitas Scramble - best dish out of all our orders, tender flavorful meat with roasted veggies, feta cheese which is robust and salty, crispy potato with cool salsa, all bind together with soft-scrambled egg. Bonetti Burrito - this was good but overshadowed by the deconstructed version of Carnitas Scramble because the shredded pork is better than sausage. read more

We came by on a Sunday morning around 10 with family and our dog. Sandwiches were all good and they've got a few beers on tap. I was disappointed they didn't t have the Sunday special tri tip but the roast beef and chicken were both good. You order inside, where they had free pastries, and bus your own table. I was a little disappointed because we asked her if the pastries had nuts and she assured us, nut-free. Luckily my daughter doesn't trust anyone and sure enough, there were tree nuts on one of the pastries! It could've been a big mistake and would've ruined our day for sure. First time eating here. While it doesn't have a large menu, the Butcher Tacos I had were delicious. Carnitas was juicy, well seasoned and tender. Loved that they also contained grilled veggies. What a brisk business they do here. A popular spot, the line was almost out the door. But the owner was quick on her feet and up to the challenge. Speaking of challenges, they'd had so many customers the morning we were there that, just after we ordered they realized they'd run out of bread. Without missing a beat the resourceful owner offered chipotle tortilla wraps instead and everyone went away happy. (So if only bread will do for you, arrive or call in early.) To be clear, we didn't contribute to the bread shortage. In a rare display of prescience, we ordered a Bonetti Burrito and Carnitas Scramble. Both were tasty, fresh and filling. A happy surprise is that they offer Alaskan Amber, a favorite beer of ours in the PNW, but for some reason so hard to come by down here. I just wanted biscuits and jam. This is the best biscuit I've ever had. They pre cut it and butter toasted it without asking. They gave me fresh strawberry jam. Frewhly made strawberry jam. This is the best jam I've ever had. This isn't even on the menu by itself. Just ask for 3 biscuits and jam and honey. I tipped more than the cost of this and would go here every day for this if I was in town. If they put this much effort into this the rest of their lineup will be amazing.
