Worst experience ever. On vacation here to Universal Studios and came to eat with my family. I have a daughter in a wheelchair. Wait to get seated and people after got seated. Told guy(looked like manager) to sit us separately it was ok he said I had a wheelchair and he didn't have space. This was the first stop that my family, boyfriend, and I made in Orlando, Florida. We were driving for 16-18 hours straight and was getting close to our hotel, but we were starving and needed food. This Denny's is quite spacious, clean, and well maintained. Our waitress was alright, not the best, but not the worse either. We each ordered our own entree and shared an appetizer. The appetizer we had was the Zesty Nachos and it was delicious and a big portion size. For an entree I had the Mushroom Swiss Burger which was succulent and juicy. I wished our waitress had asked me how would I like my burger done. I would have preferred medium rare, it felt almost well done. I haven't been to a lot of Denny's, but the ones I have been to, there's really no difference between any of them. In my opinion, they're all the same. No complaints about this Denny's other than the service could be improved just a little bit. read more

There was a time when I really, really liked Denny's - nowadays, not so much. This Denny's was a tale of two days - one good, one not so good - let's start with the not so good... We had two stops on back-to-back days - an evening stop for a quick bite before bed, and then a morning stop (the very next morning) for breakfast. The evening stop was not so good. The manager running the place needs a little help with learning to delegate, rather than trying to do it himself. We waiting way too long for a table (and there were several open - waiting for paying customers.) Anyway, the brightspot of the stop was our waitress - who made up for any ill feelings we had for having to wait for no reason. The next morning was as if the place was transformed into a well oiled machine. We were sat down quickly, our waitress like to gab and joke with us, and the food was hot and good. First I'd like to start of by saying the waitress we had did things let's just say "De mala gana" (did things reluctantly). I ordered Salted Caramel Banana pancakes, Cesar salad, and a grand Slamwhich. When presented the banana pancakes the presentation was horrible as it had some sort of black residue around the middle of the plate. I go to Denny's a lot and I've never been to a worse location anywhere I've visited or lived. First, the restaurant was dirty and gross. The floor, especially under the tables, were littered with food and napkins that the staff neglected to clean up. Our table also had crumbs on it from who knows when. I ordered a build your own grand slam, which was priced as $6.99 on the menu the server handed to me when we were seated. When I got the bill, they charged me $7.29. The grand slam comes with 4 items and they brought 3 plates over, which was so unnecessary. I could tell there was some mixup in the kitchen with my order and my mother's because she ordered a side of hash browns with cheese and when they brought her plate over, she had a tiny portion and her plate was coated in grease. It was so clear that they mixed our orders up and added cheese to my hash browns, but then took the eggs off and gave the plate to my mom thinking no one would notice. Then of course, the hash browns they brought me were a much more substantial portion, which was originally my mom's order without the cheese. When I opened my napkin to get the silverware, I had no fork so I had to wait for someone to come over to bring one. No one did for a few minutes, so we ended up having to ask a random person in the kitchen. The biscuit they brought me was so stale, the butter knife couldn't even cut into it, but instead crushed it, turning it into dust. In the very least, the server we had was really nice and somewhat attentive. After I got the check, I went to the counter to pay. The woman working looked up at me and told me I'd have to wait a minute, as she walked away. When she came back, I asked about them charging me $7.29 instead of $6.99. She didn't know the cost of the menu item, despite being an employee here, which was okay because in the end, she got the menu to show me that the price was actually $7.29 now and they only recently upped the price. I tried to tell her that my menu said $6.99 and that I didn't mind paying the $7.29 price, but they should probably check all the menus to make sure they were updated. I seriously regret coming here. I know that Denny's isn't a 5 star restaurant, but there's no reason why they couldn't in the least be decently clean and not mess up some of the most simple of orders. I'm really glad that I don't live around here and will never have to come back to this location again. I definitely recommend avoiding this Denny's. Go somewhere else or starve to death. This Denny's was within walking distance from my "hotel" while visiting Universal Orlando. We ordered a couple of burgers the first night and they weren't bad. The next morning we went in for breakfast because I couldn't wait to try the Tres Leches pancakes. I struggled between that and the Dulce de Leche pancakes. They were not as wonderful as I had hoped, expecting a true tres leche experience, but they were no ordinary pancakes. They were pretty good. I also ordered bacon, eggs, and hash browns and my eggs were cooked exactly as I wanted them. The waitress made sure we had everything we needed and the food came within a reasonable amount of time. It seemed pretty clean, loved the floors compared to the nasty carpet in south Florida. The overall design was an upgrade and a very nice atmosphere. Though I did get annoyed that a waiter kept passing in the small space between my chair and the next table over, hitting me each time. Perhaps they can space those out a little bit better. But he could have gone around instead of hitting me each time to take a short cut... just too lazy I guess! read more

If I could give this a zero I would. I arrived at this Denny's at 9pm on Sunday. It didn't look busy inside, but we sure had to wait for our food. It took about 5 minutes to get our water. I ordered the new Baja Moons Over my Hammy sandwich and strawberry pancake puppies. My boyfriend ordered the quesadilla and build your own chicken wraps. After about 10 minutes I was informed they didn't have the mix for my pancake puppies, but the rest of our food was ready. Then another 10 minutes later only the quesadilla was brought to our table. 10 more minutes passed and finally the rest of our food was brought. I looked at my sandwich and noticed two things were wrong 1) the avocado was missing (mind you I LOVE avocado) 2) the wrong type of bread was used. It looked like the regular Moons over my Hammy instead of the Baja. My boyfriend'a quesadilla was good, but his wraps barely had 3 tiny pieces of lettuce and instead of chicken strips it was a big piece of chicken. Our waiter was also the hostess of the night so he was running around and very busy. I informed him that the avocado was missing, but didn't bother with the bread. I didn't want to wait another 25 minutes for food. This Denny's was understaffed and not well organized. The food was a let down and the staff is lucky I didn't say anything to the manager that charged my meal. The manager also verbally asked if I was leaving a tip and how much, instead of having me fill out the receipt. Personally, I rather not announce my tip to everyone in the waiting area.
