We only had to wait a few minutes - 5 minutes maybe - before they called us in to be seated. Once seated we were served water and then they began taking drink orders. Since we were there for Sunday Brunch we waited a bit for the stragglers to arrive before ordering our meals. Service in general was excellent. Very timely without hovering. I ordered their Double Bloody Mary, a drink they are well known for around these parts. It's a drink and a meal all in one! The Bloody Mary was decent. Not the best I've ever had, but still tasty. Included, on skewers were two small biscuit sliders with egg, ham and cheese, three sausage meatballs, two large bacon wrapped potato chunks, a couple of pickled peppers, a chunk of apple, two blue cheese stuffed olives, a chunk of cheese, ham and salami. It also contained a big celery and carrot stick. It was supposed to have a dill pickle spear but I guess they forgot that or ran out. With it you get your choice of vodkas. I chose Tito's. This was all served in a quart size Mason Jar! Everyone else ordered other items and they all seemed to enjoy not only their drinks but their food as well. Salmon Scramble was really enjoyed by the son in law and stuffed French toast was great according to my wife. Several ordered the Breakfast Burrito in a Bowl and enjoyed it. They have an extensive breakfast menu available for brunch so a second visit will be in order. All in all it was a nice way to celebrate a birthday and eat brunch. Well worth a visit.

Regulars clearly know each other and the staff, which you don't really see much anymore. Refreshing. Service matched that energy -- warm and good throughout. I went with my go-to order, the chicken fried steak. It's not the best I've had -- the steak itself had more of a ground meat texture than a proper cut, which was a little different. But it was enormous and absolutely hit the spot. The biscuit on the side was solid too. My husband got the ham and said it was juicy and well done. Not a destination spot necessarily, but a great find if you're in the area and want a hearty, unpretentious brunch.

Case in point: I like dark beers, especially in cooler weather. They had a porter, which tasted tangy but not quite like a sour, and a stout, which mysteriously tasted very like an English porter, but too light a body for a stout, certainly no creamy head to speak of, and again that sour note. Whatevs. The drink menu is mostly chock-a-block with IPAs, blondes and lagers - ambers and darks are perhaps just not in their wheelhouse. We also came because they supposedly have a pool table here. And they do - tucked away in a dimly lit corner upstairs. We had to ask the waitress to turn on the lights for us, but only a mostly-burned out string of Costco tivoli lights served to illuminate the space. It was very hard to see the balls, or our food. Food? We had a flatbread pizza and Brussels. They were ok. They're probably better at sandwiches...again, we hit 'em where they ain't... So, the "up and down" bit: If you want to sit upstairs, fine, but you must order downstairs. Want to use a restroom? Downstairs. All done and ready to close tab? Downstairs. The bartender (running the place solo, apparently) was gracious and accommodating in bringing us food and refills upstairs, though, and we tipped accordingly. Good service. Not our particular cup of tea, perhaps, but give 'em a shot if you like IPAs and lagers, and don't care a whiff about pool or pizza. You might like it!

The first time my wife and I came in, we shared the fajitas and they were absolutely incredible. Everything was full of flavor, fresh, and cooked perfectly. Their homemade beans alone are worth talking about -- seriously some of the best I've had. We came back again today and I tried the enchiladas with the creamy poblano sauce... and wow. Hands down the best enchiladas I've ever had. That sauce was rich, flavorful, and something I'll definitely be coming back for. On top of the amazing food, the customer service has been top notch both times. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and really makes the experience even better. And I can't forget the real fruit coconut margarita -- absolutely to die for! Fresh, beautiful, and just as good as it looks. This place is officially one of our favorites. The patio faces one of the main streets so there was lots of good people watching. I ordered a beer flight and was very satisfied with all four of my selections: Prickly Pear Kolsch - it was creamy and easy to drink, bursting with prickly pear flavor; just the right amount of tart and sweet. Lightly Buzzed Honey Lavender Blonde - my favorite of the flight; it was very hoppy but light and refreshing and well balanced by intense lavender flavor and a smooth honey finish. Get it! You won't regret it. High Five Hefe - lighter/less hazy and more hoppy than most hefes it made for a unique and complimentary beer on my flight. Pommeroys Citra Pale Ale - a perfect West Coast IPA. To eat, my pup got the Lucky Dog hamburger (which the chef pre-cut) and loved it! He chowed down in less than a minute. And I got the Mac & Cheese Burger (sub a veggie patty) with the Garlic Fries. It was a very indulgent meal to say the least. The burger was loaded with so much Mac & Cheese that I couldn't even put the top bun on it and pick it up. lol I had to knife and fork the whole thing which was totally worth it. The Mac is a classic home style recipe (think Stouffers but better). Their fries are shoestring and super crispy and salty. And they loaded those up with an amazing garlic aioli and Parmesan. I got a side of their house-made curry aioli and was obsessed with it. Every fry that didn't have sauce or parm got a dip in that deliciousness and I added it to quite a few of the burger bites too. All in all, a great brewpub that I look forward to returning to in the future!

Our server was Rainey, she was awesome, very attentive, and came to our table right away to take our order. The atmosphere at Temperate Habits is very nice, there is outside seating but we sat inside due to the bright evening sun. Our meals took quite a while to arrive, I think we were at the tail end of the dinner rush and my guess is they have a small kitchen. My classic cheeseburger was about the most generic, predictable, and utterly boring burger I could imagine, and for $17 I would certainly not return for that or the mundane shoestring fries. The burger patty, bun, and fries were all non creative and the there was nothing even the slightest bit unique about my burger, in fact I swear it is the exact same burger that the Skagit River Brewery serves just around the corner. The surprise entree was the Crab and Lobster Tots, now whoever thought that would be good? The plate looked very strange to say the least but I have to say.... this dish was really good! So you'd think if they could create that total mayhem of a dish that they could get far more creative with the burgers and least have a house burger sauce or a higher quality bun for $17, something? I might return to Temperate Habits to have a drink with friends and share some tots, because they give you a large enough portion for four people, but I would certainly look elsewhere for a good burger. 5 stars for atmosphere and service, 1 star for the burger, 4 stars for the tots.

But it was not really chicken wings - it was more like chicken strips covered in sauce. The chicken sandwich I got was also pretty disgusting. It is designed for you to accidentally click it and then get charged $2.99. I never thought that I already got charged. It would come on your final receipt. However the server at this location were very nice. They took great care of our order.
