Went in at 11:30 and walked out still hungry and mad at 12:25 when our food was not on the table and waitress couldn't tell us when it would be out. Left $10 to cover the beverages and walked over to White Castle. This was after the 5 seconds of summer concert up the road. The place was full but not overly busy. Wouldn't you anticipate a crowd after a concert that is at a venue up the road. Ridiculous! I love this Dennys. They just remodeled it and it looks great. The breakfasts are always good, but I especially like the staff they are always friendly and attentive, especially Kelly and Matt. My wife and I always go there in the mornings for breakfast on days we have to run errands. It"s a great start to your day, good food and great staff. read more

We visited this Denny's last week and found the food and wait staff to be very good, but, Twyla, a manager I think, made us feel very uncomfortable, because we overheard her say to a gal server....Eric staff SUCKS! We felt bad for the waitress and wanted to speak up, because she obviously felt bad. We dine out to enjoy ourselves and forget problems, not to feel the need to defend another human being from an obviously unprofessional and bullying staff person. We felt like we were eating under a dark cloud of repression. Probably would return if this Tywla person was not in attendance. This Dennys needs to insure a happy and positive dining experience for patrons, after all that is a big part of what customers pay good money for. I hope Dennys corporate people read this. read more

The holder that holds the sugar, salt and jelly was really dirty and sticky to touch. I had to wash my hands because my fingers were sticking together. I finally got some jelly, but it was so sticky and slick, I couldn't open it. It would have been nice if my waiter had brought more coffee. The people behind the counter were loud ---something must have been very funny as they could have been heard down the block laughing. Food was rather tasteless. The overall appearance of the place as a whole was better than last time I was there. They either got the rugs cleaned or got new ones. I have decided to cross Denny's off my list of places to frequent. read more

So I understand this is the first day open for dinning. I also understand waitresses haven't been working in a while. I have never in all my life written a bad review about a restaurant but tonight was awful!! I give the Denny's in Mokena 0 stars. We will not support this local business after tonight! My husband and I went there tonight we were one of two tables. We ordered the Mozz &Tots. I believe she brought us nacho tots not what we ordered. The cook was not happy. Then we ordered breakfast I ordered an ultimate omelette no mushroom (I'm highly allergic) with American cheese. Good thing I opened it first cause it contained mushroom she took it back. The manager comes over in a huff and said did you not see the ingredients? I explained to him I ordered it with no mushroom. The cook while remaking the omelette is angry and while looking towards our table say I'll say it to their fucking faces. Then slams the plate down in the window and say omelette no mushrooms. She brings it over at this point I ask for the manager and he comes I explain to him this is not how you treat customers when the waitress Messed up not once but twice. I told him we were leaving and will not support their business any longer. It really is a same cause we do group orders from work we do take out from there all the time and we also visit regularly with our family and friends. Who ever owns this Denny's should really speak to their employees about how they act! read more

This one of are favorite restaurants. Milk Shakes made like I had when I was teenager. Hand made burgers my favorite double bacon cheese burger with seasoned fries Breakfast so many to chose from all all excellent I been going to Denny's for as long as I could remember in several states and everyone had great food. read more

My husband and I visit this restaurant almost every week. We especially enjoy the Zesty Nachos (whole order) even though it is so huge that we usually can't finish off all of it before our entrees come. We could order a half-order and finish it, but where's the fun in that? The service is great, especially our favorite waitress, Callie, who literally knows our drink order by heart and always keeps the refills coming. We have visited other Denny's locations but we always come back to this one, even though it is a 20 minute drive for us, and there are other locations that are closer. read more

Five stars all the way. They were short-staffed and we almost didn't get waited on when the manager stepped up and decided to take care of us himself! I will walk out of a restaurant and not go back for months and sometimes years if I get "forgotten" when it comes to getting seated or waited on. The manager here turned a potentially bad experience into an "I'm glad I stayed" one. Our food got to us quickly and all dishes were made correct as ordered. The food was delicious and the presentation was great (possibly because the cook knew this manager cared, especially since he was our waiter). The manager seemed like he was making sure the other waiters did their jobs as good as he did. They had a lady making balloon animals (and ghosts, spiders, Hello Kittys, too!) for the kids, which they loved. I felt like my business was wanted and appreciated, and that I got my money's worth without breaking the bank. Highly recommended based on service and food quality. read more

This is another one of those places that i've been going to since it opened here. I always feel like i've gotten my money's worth. The only problem that I ever had with it was before the smoking ban... if you went there late night, there'd be a bunch of smoking teenagers in there. But, that can't happen anymore. The food is always good. The service is always good. And the value is always great. If you're nearby and want some good breakfast, i'd definitely recommend this place. read more

I'll never forget this place. I once took someone here that is very near and dear to my heart. This visit in particular is on my top 10 best memory list. So I guess you could my review might be biased. First I like Denny's because it is cheap for breakfast compared to some of the brunch places that will charge upwards of $20 per plate. I know I can go to Denny's and pick two breakfast entrées off of their value menu and that's spend over $15 unless orange juice or coffee is added to the bill. sure it's not the best breakfast in the world but if all you're looking for some French toast eggs and hashbrowns, this place will do. The service here has always been great too. I've never had a complaint to make. The servers have always been on top of their game. The only complaint that I can think of is that sometimes the parking lot is packed and you have to do some illegal parking like alongside the building or next to the curb that divides the parking spots from the exit. read more

Just got snaked out of $20.00 this morning when the waitress at the cash register said that I didn't give her the $20.00 for my $17.06 bill. The previous customer was still fussing with some paperwork she was filling out and I suspect that the $20.00 I gave to the waitress got mixed in with her change. Needless to say I'm not happy with the results. I go there regularly. 10 or more times a month and have no need to cheat anyone nor am I senile. Needless to say I won't be returning as there are other restaurants in the area that will be getting my business. read more

Gross!!!!! Our food was cold and our waitress was very slow, she never came back to refill our coffees or waters! I asked for my bacon "well done" and it came out pretty much still raw, didn't even asked to send it back because we waited over an hour for our food. read more

In town from Texas to help clear an aunts estate and again chose this location because of how well the staff treated us the last time we were here. It has been right at a year and as soon as we walked the door, gina knew who we were and we were so excited to see she was still here. Food was prompt and hot. If you get takeout or are lucky to get ANY other server besides Zach you should be fine. The last three times I went I unfortunately had him. He does anything and everything from forgetting to bring you something you ask for, like a refill numerous times to not even bringing people silverware. We had to ask for napkins. Then on one visit he spilled coffee on someone I was with, and he didn't even know! He doesn't write anything down but clearly that doesn't work for him. He also mixes up what someone orders with the other person to top it off! I overheard another customer ask for silverware from him! He also thinks he's funny and is not. My husband and I went there for lunch recently and we were disappointed in the food and the service. After ordering, we waited a long time for coffee. My breakfast was meager and the texas toast was smashed but was served to me anyway, about a third of its original size. The bacon that I ordered crispy was fat and rubbery. The server did not come back with more coffee so my husband went to the counter to inquire about getting a refill. They couldn't find the server and we waited about 10 minutes and were told they had to make a new pot. We left with a bill over $25. I do not recommend this Denny's restaurant. read more

Gina is an amazing waitress. Every time we come in there we don't even ask for a drink she just brings us 3 dr. Peppers. On busy days food takes a while but understandably so. Food is cooked perfectly and each one of their categories exceeded expectations. read more

There was not heat in this restaurant. When asked about it I couldn't get a straight answer. We actually left before we ordered since it was so cold. This location has seriously gone down hill, I don't know if management or staffing or anything has changed but they didn't have 3 separate ingredients for items that were ordered so I had to change it - I basically created my own sandwich because I couldn't have the one I ordered. Then an item we did order they didn't bring out the dipping sauce that comes with it so we had to wait for her to come back and check on us to ask for it again. When we were leaving I asked for a box but she never came back so we just got up and left and she gave me a box at the registered like I was supposed to go back to the table and get the food I just left there. Then I was emailed a coupon but apparently you can't use coupons there unless they're printed out because they need to be physical stapled to the receipt which is kind of stupid in my opinion - there is a bar code in the EMAIL YOU SENT ME but you cant use it.
