Our server took our order without having to write everything down, got everything PERFECT and even checked to make sure things were cooked to our liking and offered to take it back if something wasn't right. Everything was perfect, no need to send it back. Denny's in general is really just standard fare but sometimes that's all you want, a good, filling breakfast. Went in with a party of 6, and they sat us in a booth which was very cramped. There were plenty of open tables in our servers section so I'm not sure why they didn't think to seat us there. The food was like any other Denny's, decent but not anything to rave about. However, the service was faster than other Denny's I've been to so that's a plus. On the downside, our server seemed to have a bad attitude with us and she seemed impatient when we weren't ready to order. read more

EDIT: I previously had a 1 star review of this place from a few years ago. I am happy to say they have completely changed. I've deleted it and replaced it with this: They recently shut down for remodeling and not only is the building in better shape, but they seem to have replaced or retrained most of the staff. Our recent visits have been pleasant and the food quality is now on par with what you would expect from a decent Denny's location. They even switched from frozen to fresh hamburgers and it's a major improvement. Having lived and traveled to many other parts of the USA I've always considered Denny's to be a safe predictable choice; and was sadly disappointed when this Minot location didn't live up to those standards. Disappointed, expected more. The staff was mostly a young crowd, and it showed. Some of the staff was walking around with earphones in, the staff had colored hair (blue and pink punk rocker look). There was horseplay and flirting amongst the employees, conversations about parties, etc. Our waiter largely ignored us, until he arrived with the receipt, jockeying for tips, no doubt. Food was prepared fairly close to what I'm used to from a Denny's, but didn't seem very warm. No refills from our waiter, had to get another waitress to assist in more coffee, tea. Sat immediately although the restaurant was full. A server came to us and said "I'm going to help our new server and get your drinks" she brought us our drinks and a pitcher of coffee. The slams are great as you can get a healthy meal. Several alternatives are available which are good healthy food. Pancakes are available in a conventional form or whole wheat. Fresh fruit and yogurt is also available. Skim milk is not available and would make a welcome addition to the menu. The Minot has a coupon program for us old people as the seventh meal is free. Coffee is served by the pot as opposed to by the cup. This insures that your coffee cup will not be empty. Waiters and waitresses are friendly and go out of their way to give good service. I wish there were more selections on the slam list as more variety would be welcome. How about adding french toast or a waffle to the list. Eggs are done to perfection as medium eggs are really medium over easy eggs are soft and yet done. The cooking of the eggs has improved as the eggs are not as under cooked any more. The prices are reasonable. The food is good. It is served with dignity. Yes, they will serve oatmeal before the rest of your meal and insure a warm meal through out. I look forward to coming in with my wife.. I will continue to patriotizing this fine restaurant. Denny's is a welcome asset to Minot. Keep up the good job. read more

Me and my family went to Danny's on June 3rd 2016. Only 4 tables occupied when we arrived. They served 2 tables that came in after us. Did not come to our table once. They are racist. My kids noticed how they was acting towards us. We did not get any service. We was told no one seen us. I will never eat at another Dennys again. NO ONE should treat kids wrong. read more

It being Denny I knew the food would be gross. However, I expect no matter where or when I go to have good service. It took 10 minutes for someone to come and seat us. Then 30 minutes for someone to even ask us for drinks. We told him we were ready to order and he just told me that wasn't his job and walked off. There are dirty tables all around us and it smells like old dank farts in here. There is trash an food all over the floors. And it took an hour for the server to take our order. 4 of us stopped in after church for a bite to eat. The kids split a meal, the extra plate that was brought out had cheese on it so we sent it back. The second plate she brought out was also dirty, when I told the server she argued that the plate was not dirty but "that must have been something that was on my hand!" After being brought the 3rd plate the server never checked back with us ( no refills) and we had to wait an extremely long time for our check. The same server was also holding a baby at the next table and while she took their order she placed her tray ON THE FLOOR!! Upon paying our bill on the way out the cashier asked how everything was and I told her that we had gotten 2 dirty plates. She told us that she hoped we had better service next time. We had an older lady as our waitress. She was very attentive, our food came out at an appropriate time. The waiter refilled our drinks when they weren't even half way. She was very friendly, they did have a younger crew & they were lallygagging around but luckily they didn't attend us. As long as you get an older attender it goes through without any problems. So I went to Denny's Wednesday ordered my usual chicken gouda skillet no onion plain and simple well I get home I started eat and I bit down and made about a inch and a half long piece of glass was in my food I called them they gave me my money back for the meal that I ordered that day and gave me a weeks worth of free food but then today Friday I go there and order a T-bone steak medium rare over easy eggs I get overcooked nasty steak or dry it out eggs in the shits cold mind you so the hell with Denny's after I get my food I'm done will never go to another dennys again I don't even mind ordering food and just throwing it away if that's what I have to do so be careful make sure you check your food before you eat it and it's on South Broadway in my not North Dakota read more

To whom it my concern, We were in Dennys in Minot ND on 7-26-12 for lunch. We were seated and the waiter came over to get our order and my Mom said it was cold in there. Well the guy says "well get a apron and a note pad and it wont be cold". Well to say the least it was cold in there, there was other customers sitting in coats, some rubbing their arms and legs to try to stay warm, thats really customer friendly. Yea I know its hot in the kitchen but the customers should be comfortable, they are the ones paying the bills for Dennys and their associates. Well I know for one thing I wont be back there tell winter and then it might be warm in there, but I will still bring my coat in. Plus another thing is that the coffee would be cold before you ever got done with it and same with the food, but thats just me chilling.
