Ain't nothing wrong w this spot- sorry, it's a Denny's, i don't come here to eat as if I'm at a top 5 brunch place where plates cost $25 and up, I come here after hours when not much is open and I'm craving some quick hot cakes with bacon and my bill won't be more than $20. I feel like these ratings are a bit rough, place is clean, staff was nice, and food served its purpose- left w a full belly and I almost licked the plate clean but my grandma raised me better than that lol. I almost always get the French toast here, which I'm a fan of, but this time i got the choco chip pancakes and they were so moist and delicious! Bacon was crispy, eggs were made just how I like em, toast was buttery and hash browns could've been a bit crispier. Over all food was good! Take order completely wrong. Four orders all wrong. I got there before the shift change but somehow they talking to out going customers and left me out to dry. Strawberry pancakes. None Pumpkin pancakes wrong. Gave me some nut pancakes. Blueberry pancakes lol not. So I check my banana pancakes, no bananas. The guy gave one, uncut! They had to remake it all. I don't go to dennys looking for gourmet food. I also don't go expecting stellar service. Tonight, our server was Lissette. Wow! She took care of us like we were in her home. Our server Janet gave us a check in the table with a $9 dollar tip already WRITTEN (with a pen) not machine automated and thats not cool with me. Unless there's a stipulated tip amount mandatory you should leave the tip up the customer's decision. read more

My toddler and I stopped at Dennys around 10:15am. It was fairly busy but there seemed to be plenty of workers to keep up with the business. We stood at the front of the line for 10 minutes before being seated. The only table available to accommodate a high chair was a 6 top which our server was not happy about. After being seated it took 20 minutes for our server to stop and take our order. Our food wasn't the best, the scrambled eggs were brown and it wasn't very friendly service. I usually love coming to this Dennys to enjoy a nice time with family and friends. More than 25 years coming here and today July 28th, 2022 was the world host ever when requesting a booth where there was available in the area I wanted to eat. The host asked the waitress if she was taking more people and the waitress told her no right in front of us. I will not be recommending this place to my customer since I've worked in car rental customer service my whole life. I'm dissatisfied with the attitude of the host just telling us to seat where she could help us or we would have to wait. We are waiting seating and nothing from anyone to bring us the menus and greet us nicely. She just seated two men and noticed we were waiting and even asked us if we were seated. Wow read more

My experience in this place was very disappointing! When we arrived I asked for a booth and they gave me a spot where it was next to the wall. So when I asked for a better booth table, Jessica one of the waiters gave me a attitude and Jadith another waiter thought I didn't hear her when she said, why can't they stay there. It took Jadith more than 10 minutes to attend us and after words Jessica finally moved us to a better booth. We had asked Jadith for coffee before we switched from tables and she never gave it to us. After another waiter started to help us. His name was Carter, very sweet guy. Coffee still took more than 20 minutes to arrive. Anyways, I will not recommend this Denny's to anyone. I have had excellent service at Dennys on 36TH STREET and Biscayne. Not to many American style dinners in the area and any other would probably be super needless expensive. For the times and economy, I guess it's fair priced ... again the service is excellent and very friendly... When traveling and cannot make up our mind where to grab a quick breakfast, DENNY'S! Our condo is downtown and this was the closest location so why not? It was a Sunday morning around 10 and there was a short wait for the 3 of us. When we were seated our server acknowledged us immediately even though he was busy with other orders. NO PROBLEM! He brought us waters before taking our order which was a nice touch. Only issue was my son is 4 and we were brought a standard glass cup full and within a minute 12 ounces of water was on the table and his lap. We asked for a towel to clean up and another server got it to us fast. We were told they did not have any kid's cups. That is odd since every other Denny's has them and understands kids are slobs. Moving on, our order was taken and food was cooked fast. Every table was occupied so we understand that it may take longer since it was busy and they were short-staffed. The biggest issue we had was our order was given with deviations and our orders were delivered with errors. Our server served the plates and then left without asking if everything looked ok. Before we could say anything he was gone. SIGH... So we waited and waited since the errors were ingredients cooked into the items and not something you could just wipe off. Our server was understanding when we finally was able to flag him down and bring the errors to his attention. We got our corrected items and it was ok. Sorry, but nothing to jump up and down about. I paid the bill and we departed. One thing my wife and I both noticed was there were several other tables saying they got the wrong orders or their items were incorrect. This is a QC issue in the kitchen and no attention to detail of the servers (not just ours). We frequent Miami, but sorry will not be returning to the Denny's location. read more

My family and I always eat out once a month . My son picked Denny's. Walking in there was no host, waitress shouts out "sit anywhere in the back." Of course all the tables are dirty, so we wLked back tothefront and found a clean table. A waitress comes and gives us utenss and menues and leaves. 15 minutes goes by and no one comes by to take our drink and or food order. There was a waitress talking to a customer besides me and I asked her if she knew who my waitress is. She looked at me made some kind of look to the person she was talking to then walked away. I see her go up to another waitress then they start to argue as to who's got my table. We stood up and walked right out. Ridiculous how they hire these lazy people. read more

I am a fan of "America's Diner" and even in Miami, which is not part of the rest of the US, they do a good job of making you feel like you could be anywhere in the country. Of course, since I grew up in NJ, I can't in good faith classify Denny's as a true diner, but it hits the spot! I work in the area and have driven past this location on a daily basis, but never eaten there. Larry S. and I had a godawfully early appointment one day this week, so we rewarded ourselves afterwards with an 7:45AM breakfast treat. Larry S. reported that they have renovated this location and it was updated and clean when we walked in. I like the dedicated parking lot, especially useful in Midtown. The waitress was friendly and the service was good; of course, there were very few other patrons in there at that hour. I especially like that they put the calorie counts on the menu. No deluding yourself that peanut butter cup pancakes aren't "that bad" for you. Even more efficient was that despite the early hour, we filled up for about $20 bucks and didn't need to eat again until dinner! read more

This a breakfast staple for me! This particular location though was not favorable. I specifically asked the server to request that the veggies for the loaded veggie omelette be cut into smaller pieces and they came back in big chunks. In other locations, my request has been granted. My husband had a Cobb salad with salmon, and the salmon was okay. The Highlight was the Hearty 9 pancakes which were amazingly good! I come to Denny's every few months or so, usually after a very long night of work, when there is nothing else left open, and Denny's is the quickest choice, closest to home. With that said, I was amazed that my favorite waitress, Angie, recognized my husband and I the last time we went. She noticed I cut my hair, and even remembered the past dishes we'd ordered, so when I asked her for recommendations she knew whether we had liked them or not - oh my god! she's amazing.
