Magic 13 has become one of our favorite breweries in south Florida! They have a very large indoor and outdoor space where they constantly host live music and all types of great (and usually free) events. Plenty of tables and chairs for seating both inside and outside. Everything is very clean and the atmosphere is Very relaxed. They are also directly across the street from ZeyZey, making it a great place to grab a beer and some food before seeing a show there. For food, there is a food truck set up in the back outside area that has some awesome food options! I have been very impressed with everything I have ordered. The beers have all been phenomenal with a wide selection of different styles- and they have a very interesting cocktail menu as well if beer is not your thing. Everyone I have interacted with working here is always in a great mood and really seem to enjoy their job- they are also more than happy to let you sample any beers before ordering. Great casual neighborhood spot for beers and bites! One of my coworkers introduced this spot to me when he had a bunch of us meet up here, and I've been a fan since. The beers are easy to drink with a good variety for everyone, from mild lagers to hoppy IPAs to darker options like a stout. Our group ended up getting a round of shots and were really impressed that they even have their own home made liquors like tequila, vodka, etc! The biggest draw is the outdoor area with lots of seating, space for kids to run around and play if you have them, and even a small stage for live music that I didn't come at the right time for but hopefully I get to hear it next time. The only thing I would improve on is the food - between a few of us we got the Colombian hot dog, churrasco sandwich, and Colombian empanadas. They were all out for the prices and portion sizes nothing really stood out; the churrasco could've used some more kick and according to my Colombian friend the hot dog didn't hit all the awesome things that make a Colombian hot dog a real treat. I would save the money and use it to get some more of their tasty beers or liquors. I've casually stopped into Magic 13 on my way to Zey Zey and I always say to myself I need to come back. On this particular evening we came before catching a late night show at zey Zey. Magic City has music and also live music. Sometimes even talent like comedy shows. Food trucks on site that you order with the server and of course their beer. I really enjoyed the islander lager. This is a nice family friendly place. There is outdoor and indoor seating. There was a live band that day but it was quite loud and didn't allow for talking. We found ourselves screaming across the table so we moved inside. Our server was really nice and kept checking in. The cocktails are good but a bit pricey for the place. The food was good too. My husband and I share a 1/2 parrillada and the meat was tender and seasoned well although the portion seemed small for the price and being supposedly a shareable item. Hello, I wanted to share some feedback about our experience watching the World Cup matches at Magic 13 Brewery. Unfortunately, the overall experience was disappointing. * The sound quality during the match was very poor. The audio kept cutting in and out throughout the game, making it difficult to follow. * For Brazil matches, many Brazilian fans do not enjoy watching with the Spanish broadcast because the commentators are often perceived as biased against Brazil. We strongly prefer the Portuguese broadcast, and if that is not available, the English broadcast would be a much better option. * The waiter service was also disappointing. There did not seem to be enough staff, service was very slow, and the overall organization could be improved. We enjoy the atmosphere at your brewery and would like to continue coming for future matches. We hope you can improve the sound system, offer either Portuguese or English commentary for Brazil games, and better organize the service during major sporting events. Love the big open beer garden Magic 13 has -- I've seen great bands perform on a weekly basis..their sound and lighting system are high tech, quality stuff..owner have invested on top-notch equipment. Food is okay..the cod was kinda greasy, maybe an off day, but would try again. Now the beer is uber yummy..love their dark or amber options. You know I bought their glassware for my collection! I really wanted to love this place because the location is incredible. The brewery itself is super cool, with a great outdoor area, and with ZeyZey opening across the street it honestly feels like a goldmine spot for Little Haiti. Unfortunately, the beer just didn't live up to the setting for us. The Cloudlock Hazy IPA was overly sour and tangy, not what I usually expect from that style. The Isomeric DDH DIPA was also a bit strange -- thin-bodied with some hop combinations that felt off. We tried a few others: the Mimo Pilsner and the Hard Deck lager were fine, but still felt a little lacking overall. To be fair, we came in very late after a show nearby, so it may not have been the best representation of their lineup. I'd definitely be open to giving it another shot next time we're in the area, because the space and location really are fantastic. I just hope the beer can catch up to how great everything else is. read more

Disorganization, neglect, and total lack of respect for the elderly. I visited Magic 13 Brewing in North Miami on Saturday (June 13th) to watch the Brazil vs. Morocco game. We were a group of over 50 people--17 of us paid $50 per person to reserve two tables, while the rest paid a $13 entrance fee. The experience was a disaster from start to finish. I was the first to arrive at 3:00 PM with my son, my nephew, and my elderly parents (83 and 85 years old). The place was completely empty, but it already showed total disorganization: they didn't even know how the wristband control would work, and the reserved tables had no name tags yet. To ensure my parents' comfort in case there was no space at the tables, I brought folding beach chairs and asked the staff at the entrance if we could use them. She said yes. However, when I set my parents up in a corner to watch the pre-game while waiting for our friends, the staff was extremely rude and reactive. Even with the bar empty, they told us we couldn't stay near those tables and told us to move our chairs to the very back of the lot. When I tried to ask questions about merging our group's tables (since they hadn't put the names up yet), they continued to treat me with a huge lack of manners. Only when the rest of the group arrived did we manage to change the tables and move my parents closer to the front, but the staff did it with a terrible attitude. The rest of us had to stay in the back. The event infrastructure was awful. Sitting in the back, it was impossible to see the screen due to people constantly walking by and waving flags right in front of it. The broadcast audio was terrible. The service was also a disaster: we waited over an hour just to get a simple order of wine, beer, and empanadas. I can understand service delays in a packed venue, but the rude way I was treated from the moment I stepped into an empty establishment is completely unacceptable. Customer service--especially respect for the elderly--failed miserably. The overcrowding closer to game time only highlighted how unprepared this place is. I do not recommend it and will never go back. read more

This is a really cool brewery with a huge outdoor space and permanent food truck onsite. We were at Magic 13 during a huge pre-cruise event. The place was PACKED. To help with the lines, they opened a pop up tap with a couple of beers on the patio. But, there were still crazy lines inside and at the outside bar where they had more beers on tap. For the most part, the beers were good. There was a hazy that was a bit thicker than it should have been. The Churrasco Sandwich was difficult to eat. It was just a steak on a roll. It was really difficult to chew through the steak. If the steak had been sliced it would have been a much better experience. read more

But for my actual favorite part of this Magic 13 is how they love do be part of the community. If you follow them on instagram they always have events for everyone (including the kiddos). A great brewery with a great backyard patio for live music. It's a very relaxed, casual vibe, but the food and beers are beyond expectation. I got a flight of beers. Specifically, I got the Islander, Magic City, Watermelon Magic City, and Tropical Magic City. The beers all had distinctive flavors and super refreshing. I was surprised that it was only $13 for those pours. Honestly, the price should be around $17-20 because of the quality of the beer and the amount they pour. I loved being able to compare and contrast flavors right then and there. I ordered the Colombian hotdog, which was incredible. The hot dog itself had nice flavor, and the charred pineapple brought a new texture, some sweetness to cut through the inherent heaviness of a hotdog, and the smokey char to it enhanced the hotdog flavor. It also contrasted well with the crispy chips on top, creating a textural balance. They provided two hard-boiled quail eggs as well. I think the dish would be more successful if they were prepared sunny side up because it would show off the elegancy of a quail egg better but also the runny yolk would add another textural element. The fries definitely needed work. While they were crispy and perfectly seasoned, the inside was basically empty? Overall, highly recommend this place! Loved it. read more

A cool & chill brewery in Miami, Magic 13 has a indoor and outdoor space. The parking here is pretty easy, especially if you come early enough. We came on a Saturday for a friend's birthday around 8pm and there was parking on the street (paid) and in the lot next to it (free). We hung out mainly in the beer garden area, which is big and spacious. This area has a lot of table seating, stage for live music, pool table, and ping pong. The servers were super attentive to our huge group and we got all our orders and beers in good time whenever we ordered it. This is a great spot to meet with a couple of friends or a huge group. The music is super loud but definitely fits the vibe. I also love how they had mosquito repellent available right by the door going inside because it is about to be that time of the year... hahah. They had bathrooms both indoor and outside, but the outside were porta potties so I recommend using the indoor bathrooms. There are two gender neutral bathrooms inside and they were clean. We didn't hang much inside but I loved the vibes in there as it was more calm and had AC. The music was also on point which is always what makes or breaks a hangout spot for me. Came to watch the Super Bowl And Starting with Travis, our server, for our quite large group, was incredibly kind, super attentive and just above and beyond. This was my first time coming to this magical brewery and what a treat! My group had reserved a table outdoors, but it was raining when we got there, so we started indoors and ordered our food and drinks. I got the most incredible wagyu burger and fries; it's $22 which may seem pricey, but it tasted incredible (medium rare) and was a bigger portion than most burgers. The food also came out really quickly and the service was great. I don't really like most beer but wanted to have some since we were at a brewery. My friends suggested the Islander, and I actually liked it enough to have a second glass. Once the rain stopped, we moved outdoors. It was night time, so we were able to soak in the ambiance in the outdoor beer garden area, which is really cute, with string lights and tiki torches lit since it was a little chilly. The reason for the 4 instead of a 5 - This is a warning to the ladies to not wear heels if you're going to be walking through the beer garden; I was wearing platforms and I didn't know the entire outdoor area is small white rocks. Not only was I praying that I wouldn't trip and hurt myself walking to and from the parking lot and to and from my outdoor table, but when I got home I saw that the bottom and sides of my shoes were all full of white powder. The shoes weren't ruined but they now look a little shabby :( Perhaps management could create an even path (no rocks) that goes from the parking lot to the back entrance of the restaurant, or perhaps use smaller rocks or mulch, to prevent potential injuries. read more

We were at this venue for a concert and had a nice experience. We had already eaten so we did not sample any of the food, but some of the offerings smelled quite good. I was truly impressed by the hospitality. This venue offered to try to provide a pleasant experience for the patrons. Well, the indoor restroom facilities were certainly not sufficient, additional facilities were brought into the outdoor area to accommodate demand. Additional food offerings were also brought into that area. The venue seemed grateful to have the crowd that had gathered, and I believe we were treated quite well. I come to Miami Beach a few times a year, and this year,for my birthday, I wanted to hear some live music. Much to my delight, the only beer garden in Miami happened to be playing fantastic Latin music and was an easy ride on the bus from where we were and just as easy to take an Uber home. For starters, Magic 13 has a very nice indoor brewery, but on a beautiful Miami night, it was perfect to be outside! The tables were set up nicely around the dance floor, and there were plenty of servers, plenty of opportunity to order drinks, and we had no problem making reservations. Magic 13 is kid friendly and there were children playing with different parts of the cornhole set around the dance floor before the music started. The music from the speakers was not too loud so you could still hear the people you're sitting with even if you were up close, and just the absolute perfect volume to get on the floor and dance to. Getting back to the ride home, I would highly recommend taking an Uber because there are many fantastic beers and mixed drinks to try, and you wouldn't want to draw straws to be the designated driver. I should also mention that the food was just super delicious. Street corn at a brewery? Not in New England my friends. It was so refreshing to have really good food at a brewery . This was one of my favorite birthdays by far, and I hope anyone reading this review gets a chance to go and have a great time as well. read more
