My fiancé and I were in with the large group tonight we had a baby and there was a lot of things said from the group we unfortunately came with that made us very comfortable. We'd like to apologize deeply for the behavior and treatment the staff received from them. We've never experienced that with them and are beyond sorry your team member and manager had to. My fiancé and I appreciated how hard you guys tried get everything done being so short staffed, we're sorry we couldn't stay long enough to enjoy the food as we're sure it would've been great. Ordered the buttermilk pancakes with 2 eggs. Requested the eggs over medium. Eggs were served over easy. Pancakes were not light, but heavy. Sausage links were small but good. Interior was new to me and service was very good. But quality of food was 2 stars. read more

I had a terrible experience here thanks to Delaney S. The food was subpar, and she was incredibly rude and passive aggressive the entire time. She also accused me of possibly stealing by saying that if I try to run off without paying the check, that she will chase me. It didn't seem like she was kidding by the way she said it. There isn't a lot that needs to be said about Denny's. The food is, ok. Haven't had a horrible meal, but nothing I crave. The price is right. $3.99 for my kiddos meal. 3 pancakes, 2 eggs scrambled, a sausage link and a bacon strip. Can't beat that!! The waitstaff was friendly and work hard. They bustle all over and seemed to have quite a few tables. Honestly, my biggest issue was the wait on the food. After ordering it took nearly 40 minutes until food. Which is quite ridiculous. I suspect the problem is they work one ticket at a time on the kitchen. So if 4 tickets appear, they don't start something from each one and work in foods that need more time first and then the easier stuff, they do the first ticket to completion then move to number two. So imagine, 3 tickets go in. Ticket 1 is 4 meals, that takes 10 minutes to complete, ticket 2 takes 10 minutes also and by the time you're in ticket 3, you'll have waited 30 minutes for your food and there are more tickets behind you. It is not a good system in a place this busy. read more

I am a Shift Leader at a local Texas Roadhouse. I would like to start out by saying that I am here now. Tori is holding this place down. she is running to-gos, serving 6 tables at quarter to 1 in the morning & administering manager responsibilities, the cooks keep failing dishes and she has to run outside to get the manager from the smoke break Our food was incorrectly prepared and the manager did not come and check up on the replacement dish to ensure that the meal was satisfactory. Instead she went in a smoke break. Tori then filled in for the manager by checking on our dish to ensure that everything was fixed and listening to the fellow guest at the establishment, every table is getting incorrect orders. So much so that tables started conversing with one another about their displeasure with the establishment my mothers omelette came out incorrectly twice. first with the wrong toppings, then the replacement was disrespectfully thrown together. I'm giving a generous 2 star but it should be 1. We got served burnt coffee but I can work with that by adding sugars and coffee but the second cup was burnt too. The pancake bites were cooked in burnt grease and somehow a French fry was cooked with my pancake bites. Chicken fingers and French fries all cooked in the same burnt grease. The chicken inside the chicken biscuits and gravy also cooked in the burnt grease. Only thing that I feel was edible was the pancakes. It's my girlfriends birthday and we love Dennys. We usually eat at the south keystone Indianapolis Dennys and their food is 10 times better. Our server was kylee and even tho our food was below standards I still gave her a $10 tip because she didn't seem happy. Service was average but no one smiles in the place. As a business professional I'd suggest some customer service training in addition to developing some quality standards for the food that is served. Food was bad but I didn't want to raise any concerns because it felt as if no one cared. If given a refund ($40) I'd allow staff to spiky it. Will not be returning we have already decided Cracker Barrel or Bob Evans will be our new breakfast destination here in west Lansing Michigan. read more

IDK what happened...but Denny's used to be the spot when I was a teenager. My daughter and I went were a few nights ago. After not being there in, about 4 years. It's been that long because of how awful my last visit was. I can say the food was good. Served quickly. The only odd thing was I had 4 waitresses in about 30 minutes time. So that was annoying. I never knew who to talk to. The last waitress never even introduced herself. I just guessed she was my server because she was lurking around my table, but never said a word. My bill was like $28.84, and I had them round it up to $30. So someone got a $1.16 tip. I hate doing that, but the last server only brought me my bill when asked. Im pretty sure she got the tip! Newly remodeled in October, 2017! I've noticed a BIG improvement in the employees' attitudes over the past year. I find the servers (at least for breakfast & lunch) to be very pleasant & attentive. If you have an impatient personality or if you are in a rush, you may find the kitchen to be a bit on the slow side. However, I've always found my food to be well prepared. Suggestion for Management: Please hire a hostess with the sole responsibility to greet & seat guests and to handle the register. It's very common for guests to wait several minutes to be greeted and then again having a long wait at the register for an available server to pay their check. Once management corrects this, this Denny's will deserve 5 stars. Overall: I recommend this Denny's. NOTE: Senior Citizens, show the cashier your AARP Membership Card and receive a 15% discount. PLEASE BEWARE: if something tastes funny, don't eat it!!!! I had the Teriyaki Chicken sizzler and my fiancee got a double cheeseburger with wavy fries. One of my thicker chicken breasts tasted rubbery...which was from.being overcooked. Waitress had it remade and second attempt was fine. My fiancee's burger was really greasy and fries were barely warm. Later that evening, hours after we got home, my fiancee got extreme diarrhea and vomited....possible food poisoning. So we go yesterday for lunch and the waitress says we meaning Denny's is out of Chicken, spaghetti noodles, anything that will take the cook a long time to cook. We've gone to the Denny's on Lansing's west side quite a bit. This night we had a coupon for a free dinner (up to about $8 I think) if we bought another dinner. Well they seemed to make the 'free' dinner basically a very poor example of a meal. I swear they COUNTED out the vegetables on the plate because there were only like about seven pieces of them in the side! The fish part was okay but they only give you FOUR shrimp. The potatoes were like a tiny scoop you'd get at a school cafeteria. With COLD gravy. My companion got a full, normal meal, and I got what I can only assume is what they give people who use the 'free' coupon, to make sure they don't try that again! The coffee is ALWAYS cold here and good luck gettng service. The waitress is always nice to us and seems to be trying very hard, but I have a feeling they are short on waitstaff there and she is doing more tables than one waitress should. Their bathrooms are also very odd and you have to wait forever as this huge bathroom is really only set up so ONE person can use it at a time! There are two toilets and one has no door!!! read more

Upon coming in no one greeted my party of four for about 5 min. & no one else was in line or waiting. Finally a waitress looked up after talking with a Co worker and seated us. The only thing that lightened the mood was the cashier who told corny jokes!
