This is my second visit within the last 24 hours. I wanted to come back just in case my last experience was a fluke, (or a one-off, you know),. I am very happy to report that it wasn't! I stopped going to Denny's a number of years back because the service, decor, and food quality had decreased to a point where it didn't feel like it was worth my money. Yesterday, my husband and I decided to come to try this Denny's by chance. Imagine my surprise! This restaurant is very clean, the hostess is wonderful, the cook sent my food to me hot and looking JUST like the menu! Guess what? It tasted AMAZING as well! I had the French Toast Slam, while my husband had the Country Fried Steak Both dishes were as flavorful as you can get for a breakfast item, tasted amazing, and was hot. The service during the meal was also fantastic! My husband's coffee cup never got down to empty and neither did my orange juice. At the time there were six full tables around us. You would have thought there was one, considering how well we were all take care of! Our server, Natasha, who by the way is also the hostess, delivered our meals in timely manner, while being super attentive to each of the tables. She also had a great attitude and smile when interacting with everyone. I don't know if she loves this job or not but she sure seems like she does! Her son, Dylan, well-trained, and equally attentive, walked up and down the aisle between the six tables seamlessly, offering and taking away anything that we needed. The cook Dominic, was busy, banging our meals at a rapid pace. Not one order was wrong and nothing was sent back. We, along with everyone else were very satisfied as evidenced by the empty plates and grateful smiles as we left. I certainly felt satisfied as I left the restaurant. The next morning, I thought about dinner again and wondered was yesterday a flu? I had to come back to test the theory again. Natasha was still there it was I'm dealing with absent. It was a new server, Kelsey, and also a chef, whose name I don't know. He and Kelsey didn't miss a beat. Everything flowed as it did yesterday even with more customers in the room! Shout out to the manager, Orlando! He and his team are doing things the right way! I was used to be my experience and all the restaurants that I go to, I'm but unfortunately, we all know it isn't always that way. I'm very happy that this crew takes Customer Service seriously! They're doing a great job!!! Keep up the good work!!! Fortunately, that's the only thing that changed. My watch is cooked to perfection and my husband really enjoyed his pumpkin pancakes! The service, once again was impeccable as was the food. I never thought I'd say this in 1 million years is my new spot for Breakfast and Henderson! P.S. sorry I only had one picture of it. The food here is not particularly great, but it's not awful either. The interior felt clean; service was friendly and efficient. The four stars come primarily from the value you get here. The grand slam breakfasts, in particular, offer a belly-full and then some at prices that don't break the bank. I needed a comfort food fix for a reasonable price, and Denny's delivered. read more

I loved this spot for breakfast! I asked for the gravy on the side and they didn't forget! The server was amazing I wish I knew his name- the restaurant was clean and up to date. I usually enjoy Denny's as the food is steady and decent. It is a solid 3 stars. However, we were disappointed with this one. Besides the fact that the temperature inside the restaurant was about 10 degrees too cool (I am rarely cold), the restaurant experience was sub par. It took us several minutes to be seated in a relatively empty restaurant. The waitress was very slow and needed to come back to our table twice before ordering. No idea why because she only had one other table. The food was very average. I had a slam which featured average eggs, undercooked hash browns, only 2 sausages which were also undercooked, and decent bacon. My son had the pancakes which he enjoyed. My other son, a mac/cheese critic, thought the food was very average. Def a two star experience. Only rounded up because the server was sweet. Scattered but sweet. Came here late Saturday morning and were not seated right away. Also they let a whole party cut us in line. Maybe they didn't see? The wait was not too bad. Maybe 5 mins. Upon being seated we got drinks fast and ordered within 5 mins. The food took an hour. There is a fine line between "stuff I could cook at home but don't want to" and "stuff I could cook at home but don't want to AND I waited an hour for". I found it here. My partner got the cinnamon pancakes. They were good but someone was super icing happy. Her eggs were great. Mine were old ish and dry. The bacon was perfectly crispy (according to her). My one crepe was ok but all the fruit on it was ice cold. Like microwaved thirty seconds more please cold. The server was apologetic and kind. The place was clean minus the bathrooms. I'll spare you. I like a low key weekend brekky but will seek it elsewhere- there are a lot of options. read more

Color me amazed! I ordered a rare sirloin steak with veggie medley and red potatoes. THE STEAK WAS PERFECT‼‼ Even the garlic bread was excellent The veggies and potatoes were rather good. My friend said her Mac n cheese was passable, but she IS rather picky. I think either this Dennys got a really good cook, or it has improved overall. I've been to other Denny's before, but this was different. I had the pleasure of having Kristin as my server (I hope I'm remembering the name right, unfortunately didn't have it on my receipt.) All I have to say is she is the embodiment of what good service should be. Grabbed my drink order on our way to my table, something I never seen before, and checked in multiple times asking about drink refills and the quality of food. But she wasn't doing this just for me, but at least 5-6 other tables while taking orders and running food out to customers. She deserves a raise and a management/ trainer position at least! The Eggs Benedict and hash browns I ordered were a craving well satisfied! The wait was about 15 minutes but well worth it! So gross. My server Andy has 2 buttons on his shirt undone. His chest hair is out and it's disgusting. Not like it's just peeking out of his shirt. My husband and I took our children for breakfast, and along our food beimg amazing our Server April made sure we were taken care of.

Order cali sandwiches and waited 40 minutes before it arrived. The sandwich has no 7 grain bread and no avocado inside. The waiter didn't let me know they run out of 7 grain bread and avocado. The waitress disappeared and had to call back to explain why the order didn't have the missing ingredients. I went there about 6pm on a weeknight in fall of 2022. The waiter was bald, but polite. The cook was fierce and loud, but the food was exactly how I wanted it. Really lousy experience. It had been almost 6 years since I had been to this Denny's, or any Denny's. I am not a fan, but my son and husband twisted my arm and I promised to try to make the best of it. Promise not kept. None of us enjoyed our meal. First off, the food was ice cold, not even lukewarm, completely ice cold. We had heard someone in the kitchen ring a bell, probably to signal that our food was up, but 10 minutes went by till we got our food. I ordered the 2 crepe meal and asked that the bacon not be overcooked or crunchy, so the bacon I received was overcooked, crunchy and cold. The hash browns were horrible tasting so I ate only 1 bite. The strawberry crepes were also ice cold and had a strange flavor so I couldn't eat them either. I spent $11.79 and only ate the cold runny fried eggs and left hungry so now I have to eat something at home. Two weeks ago I had ordered a near identical meal at an iHop and it was hot, delicious and served by a very friendly young girl. My son ordered scrambled eggs and got sausage instead. The waitress had an attitude also. She gave us a sour look when we asked for syrup for the pancakes. She never came back so there wasn't even an opportunity to bring up the cold food or wrong items. I've read the recent reviews of this particular Denny's and am sharing a better experience than most, if not all. 5 o'clock on a Friday morning and nothing is open besides Denny's in Hendersonville, North Carolina. I've eaten here before but never really paid attention to the reviews. After all, it's Denny's - you have to eat. Sitting at the counter, I was quickly met by Chris, who inquired whether I wanted coffee. I ordered the "bold" coffee as this is my Denny's preference. Moreover, you're almost certain to be served from a fresh pot as this particular blend is usually brewed on demand. Breakfast was the Ultimate omelette, cooked soft - with hash browns and toast. It took a few minutes to come up with this selection as perusing the menu - with all the pretty pictures - is always a chore. Food was cooked correctly by Alex, restaurant was clean and bright, and server Chris came back several times to fill my coffee cup. I even took a cup "to go" as it's $2.75 and I wanted to stretch my dollar. That reminds me - 15 percent off for AARP members. Didn't need to use the restroom, so I'm unable to report on them. Where do I start? Last night I went to Denny's at 8:30 p.m. I waited about 5 mites to be seated. No big deal, but although we were seen standing there, not one " I'll be right with you". We weren't acknowledged until a bigger group got there, so now there was a total ten people standing at the entrance, waiting to be seated. We were seated, and it took about ten minutes to get our order taken, including our drinks. About ten minutes later we were handed our water with this explanation by our waitress: " sorry that took so long, I REALLY had to go to the bathroom". You read that right. " I really had to go to the bathroom". Now, I know that everyone uses the bathroom. Even wait staff. But I'm the 47 years I've been alive, I've never had a wait person exclaim that to me. For the next ten minutes, whilst waiting for our food, I was forced to make believe that my waitress was in the bathroom making flowers, calling her mother to tell her she loves her, or making a face book post. ANYTHING other than relieving her body of liquid, or worse, solid waist. I never use a straw when I partake of liquid refreshment when dining out. I made an exception this time. The food was lack luster. It looked good. I didn't take pics because I was still reeling from the declaration of my waitress. My "finger lickin' chicken fried chicken was anything but. It was overcooked and exceptionally dry. If it was amazing, however, I still would not have licked my fingers. Why? Well, you guessed it. My waitress's episode of TMI.
