My friend and I went here to shove our faces after hiking around DuPont State forest. Dixie Diner's atmosphere is as "diner-y" as it gets, with the number of rooms seemingly endless as you walk through the place. Our breakfasts were hearty and reasonably priced. I wanted to use the restroom before getting back on the road, though, but I chose not to after seeing its location and lack of cleanliness.

What a great local option in Laurel Park when you've got a hankering for breakfast or brunch. The prices are reasonable and the staff is very attentive. I had a bacon egg and cheese biscuit and it really hit the spot. Great portion sizes too. My boys had pancakes and French toast which were both excellent. No complaints all around. Dixie Diner is right across the street from the Laurel Park Ingles shopping center. A great option if you're looking for something in the area.

It is worth a stop to give Dixie Diner a try. First off don't be fooled by the parking lot if it looks full, this place holds more diners than meets the eye and you can park across the street. When you go in you find a table and seat yourself. The building seems to have been added on many times and is not much to look at, but we usually wander back to the last room that is decorated in an owl theme. If you want faster service sit in the main area. For Sunday brunch they serve eggs Benedict that is quite tasty, get it before they run out. My husband enjoys the large, fluffy pancakes. On Saturdays I usually order the Belgian waffle which is always cooked perfectly with a side of good crunchy bacon. Good homey place where the locals go, you can usually hear a southern accent or two while dining here which just adds to the hometown feel.

Don't come here expecting a fancy place, it isn't. The food is honest, good and served fast. The coffee is one of the better ones I had around here and the service is perfect. Shame they don't bring the place to this century though.

Stopping in at this diner was definitely worth our time. This place was so close to a five! They fell short in a couple places though. Upon pulling up to this nondescript diner location the parking is tough. Definitely not a place for the drivers ed car to try to navigate. I drive like a pro so you already know that I made my way to the spot. Going in this place is like being in a time capsule from 1985 when Marty McFly was traveling in his Delorean. This seat-yourself diner is alive with energy from the kitchen. I suggest sitting at the bar to watch the cook in action. The coffee was hot and fresh. It has to be. They made 3 pots while I was sitting there, and was brewing up a 4th. The server was friendly and clearly overworked. She definitely earned her money. We ordered 2 sampler platters. If you're not hungry find something different to order. This was like eating a food challenge. IN THIS CORNER WEIGHING IN AT 283 POUNDS WE HAVE RYAN! IN THIS CORNER COMING IN AT 2000 CALORIES WE HAVE THE SAMPLER!! Only 1 of us was coming out as the victor. Upon receiving my 2 PLATES WORTH OF FOOD, I realized I had a fight ahead of me. I started with the biscuits and gravy. The sausage added a decent flavor but needed some salt. A dash of salt and the 1 biscuit the size of the plate was in my belly. The fluffy biscuit stood no chance. The grits were next. A nice big piece of buttery delight hit the mound of grits and got stopped by the protective layer on the top. Grit fans you know what I'm talking about. I mixed in my butter. A dash of salt and pepper and in as few bites as possible, I devoured the ground corn goodness. On to the bacon. I like my bacon crispy but not burned. The fat rendered out like a high quality duck breast. This missed the mark. It was wet and floppy and not what I was wanting. However, I understand that you may like it that way. If thats the case WRITE YOUR OWN REVIEWS!!! Kidding! Variety is the spice of life. Because I'm not a fan of wasting food, I did eat all of my sad bacon strips like a big boy. The made to order eggs were next. Over medium not quite. They were over easy. I'm a yolk fan anyways so I smashed it open and ate the gooey deliciousness. The country ham is not something that I get down with yet. Only living in NC for 21 years, I'm not quite there yet. I understand its supposed to be salty. Its salt cured. It brought tears to my eyes it was so salty. My tears were not as salty as this ham. There was also sausage included but I dont eat sausage on it's own but my fiancee said it was better than the place we went to yesterday. Oh the home fries...what happened to you? Was the cook mad at you when he was making you? Did you desire to go and become vodka, and he stopped you to become home fries. Did he hold a grudge while he cooked you up? He overcooked you so badly a fork wouldn't break you. The color on your skin was that of a lump of coal for your stocking. Sad day to be a potato at the Dixie Diner. The scrambled eggs were much better than at the place that I reviewed yesterday. The restaurant with Scrambled in its name. The atmosphere isn't anything special. Its just a restaurant. The staff was friendly but overworked. It did appear to be clean. Overall, I would highly recommend this place. P.S. Try their homemade muffins. You wont be disappointed. Take a dozen home to your family and friends...the ones you like. Gift the home fries to your coworker that always steals your pens.

It was packed upon leaving at 10am, so heads up! First time there, we enter and no one to greet you NOR a sign to seat yourself or wait to be seated. We waited only about 6-7 min for someone to tell us to seat yourself. Passed a couple of dirty tables to sit at the window! Don't worry, there are windows views at every single table. There is also bar seating as well. There is a certain charm about a 50's diner chrome everywhere, black and white checkered floor. As we look at the HUGE menu, we watch the HUGE plates of food pass. So, plan on sharing or taking some home. Tables were clean and waitress was friendly enough. Chicken Fried steak, white gravy, eggs over easy, grits and English muffin were all absolutely spectacular! The steak was super tender and crispy! The gravy wasn't over or underseasoned, I added nothing! The entire plate was gone, literally not a crumb onnthe plate left over. The Philly Skillet was also pretty great! Absolutely huge and we took more than half home to have for 2 meals at home. The postoes/fries were super crispy. The onions, peppers and mushrooms were all seasoned very well and nothing was added at all. Would have liked more meat to the ratio of veggies but with all of the veggies and eggs over easy, it worked well. No beef was brought home because there wasn't a lot on the plate. We kept seeing the biscuits pass and we just had to order one. Brought most of it home but just had to taste it. It was huge. Light and fluffy, not heavy or overdone. Would have went well with the white gravy- note for future visits. Overall 5/5! Would go back. Would like to see t he place get a deep cleaning and paint touch ups and maybe required for the wait staff to have their hair up or fixed. Several looked like they just rolled out of bed and slept with their animals. Will have to go for lunch! Bring your neighbor. Locals/regulars meeting for coffee and visits was nice to see. Not overpriced.

Usually we come around 10ish and there's a small wait or the place is just really packed (even outdoor seating). But today we stopped around 8:30 and there was only a couple of tables taken up. We were greeted with a smile right away and taken to a table. We were given 2 different menus. One containing the different breakfast and brunch options they offer and the second one with the coffees and alcoholic beverages. Once you look at the menu you see that there is a lot of the basic breakfast options you can find at other restaurants. But what also makes the menu different is that they offer latin breakfast and lunch items like huevos rancheros, huevos con chorizo, tacos, burritos, and quesadillas. Since it was so early I decided to go with the huevos rancheros since I've never had them here before. I also decided to go with the honey bear latte (iced) with oat milk as my drink for this morning. My latte was really good! It had hints of vanilla, cinnamon, and honey. The oat milk mixed in perfectly making the latte have a nice creamy taste. Once my dish came out I was happy at the presentation of the plate. I ordered my eggs overhard and they came topped with salsa roja, queso fresco, and cilantro. All of this was placed on top of a fried tortilla and given to me with a side of home fries. Over all I did like the dish. I will say the salsa roja threw me off because I expected it to be a little more spicy, however it had a more citrus/lime taste to it. The home fries however were a 10/10 for me, I liked how crispy they were and how I didn't need to add more salt and pepper to them. Overall I really did enjoy my time this morning at Arabella's. Our server was super nice and attentive with us. The atmosphere is calming. Also it's nice to see the people of Hendersonville coming in and supporting this local business. If you're from the area or a tourist definitely check this place out. You wont be dissapointed.

She said she would see if she could get it taken off. A few minutes later the manager came up and said "you wanted to talk to me" I said no I just wanted to pay my bill and go that I had told the waitress that was the worst pizza I have ever had that it just tasted bad. He stared and me and said he would check with the cooks and see if there was an issue. He wasn't the friendliest guy. Then he said she said you didn't like the bacon bites. I wasn't going to leave a review but I dislike managers that have an attitude when coming to talk to someone who had a bad experience. But that pizza was nasty.
