2 Stacks of BS Unprofessional AF, unappetizing AF, and unappealing presentation of pumpkin pecan pancakes
    Karima Destiny G.

Talk about PISS POOR SERVICE from the host/cashier who can't take a order right. On up to the cook who can't cook something as simple as pancakes. The pancakes was half done. It was like eating goddamn batter right out of the bowl. The presentation was sloppy and half assed. Absolutely sucks !! It was all Unprofessional AF, unappetizing AF, and the presentation was unappealing AF. We placed 4 orders of 2 stacks of pancakes and ended up getting 3 orders of 2 stacks of BS FRFR they just didn't do anything right. Hated it !!!!!

Came in for our usual steak and eggs road trip feast and they did not disappoint! Quentin was our server and he was a delight and he great suggestions! I had steak, eggs and seasoned fries. Everything was hot and fresh and the fries were plenty and the steak was cooked just like I ordered! We had the Cinnabon pancakes to share and they were delish! They had a cinnamon crunch on the top and were topped with a sweet cheesecake filing. Will definitely be back when driving through!

Stop in here as much as I can. This Dennys always has great food and awesome service! For a truck stop Dennys they by far are the best !! If you get to the truck stop before 8 pm and have room to park. I highly recommend eating at Dennys.

Definitely glad I had made the effort to come in. I normally don't have the time. This was an excellent experience this morning. I got the Western Omelette with extra cheddar cheeses fruit cup and one small pancake with sugar free syrup. A water and black coffee. Just trying to eat healthier. Great food and great service with a friendly atmosphere. Everything was great including the music. Will definitely come back if given the chance.

I just don't get it why restaurants continue to give you subpar food the sausage links have no color look like they just microwave them or something bacon looks like you're leaving it's not even cooked all the way through the hash browns look like you're barely touch the grill in my toast didn't even picture it what is soggy they can't even cut toast evenly

#34-2021 haven't been here in about a year last time was when covid was just about to change the world in ways that never has before. there's two Denny's located within 5 mi of each other both in Flying J truck stops I've always favored this one here at Ft Chiswell. I came in about dinner time and noticed it was pretty slammed they had offered me a seat at the counter I didn't really want it I wanted a booth so I had to wait about 20 minutes for one but it was okay their Wi-Fi is good and strong I was able to occupy myself. time I was seated I was greeted by my waitress Melissa who came out and took my drink order promptly while I peruse the menu. like many Flying J Denny's this is pretty much the same located inside the pilot / Flying J. it was nice and clean in here however they did mention they were running some short staff they lost a few people a couple of no shows how much you can do about it. I said it's fine I'm a patient person I'm not worried about it. I'm decided to try their new fried fish platter. My first choice wasn't quite available it was missing a few options that they did not have in stock. so I opted for the fried Pollock said nice and crispy fillets. had a diet Coke food came out was very hot I was quite impressed. fried fish is really really good nice crunchy batter the Pollock's tasted really good she brought me tartar sauce I had the french fries no salt and the side of broccoli and added the Parmesan sauce. that wasn't as good as I thought it would be I'd probably stick with straight broccoli next time or just some melted cheese. all in all I was very satisfied I'm upping my star from last time last year because they did a really good job giving the fact that they were very short staffed some of the managers had to come in and do some of the cooking but they kept everything going and I didn't mind the extra 20 minutes to get seated or the little longer duration for my food to come out it was all fine the main thing was it tasted good the place was clean keep up the good work.

When on the road, this restaurant chain provides a good meal. The service at this location is top notch. Everyone is friendly, accommodating as well as being attentive to customers. Everything I ordered was great. Today I had the hamburger steak, corn, spring mix salad, and garlic bread. My husband had spaghetti and meatballs. The corn was exceptionally good, like shoe peg with a slight sweet taste. Yummy. My husband was pleased with the spaghetti. All in all very pleased with this location. Will stop back in next time in area.

They allow RVs to park overnight in their lot with the kind but unspoken request that if you're having a meal in the area, that you should please have it with them in return for the free parking. So that's what I did! I arrived just after the dinner rush and was seated immediately in a corner overlooking where I had just lined up the Sprinter van in the lot. My order was taken and a few minutes later, here's dinner: Meatloaf with steamed broccoli and a side salad. Filling, hot, delicious and plenty of it. I skipped the biscuits and cornbread, which I would ordinarily share with Mrs. K. but this was a solo trip and I'm sticking to my keto guns. A great meal and I sat with my laptop for a bit (Cracker Barrel has wifi now!) planning the next day's journey. After dinner, out to the van and locked up for the night. A quiet night as this one is perched on top of the hill and a bit quieter from road noise. I departed at 5:15, too early in the morning for breakfast. Wytheville last night: Meatloaf tasted odd and bad, I only ate like 2 bites. Mashed potatoes so hard my fork bounced off. I ate ONE bite, full of UNCOOKED PIECES OF POTATOES plus dried out and hard as a rock. They offered to replace the potatoes. They brought me a little dish of same potatoes with some hot water mixed in, LUKEWARM if that..no way I was eating that! The corn muffin was also hard as a rock and stale and inedible. The biscuit was undercooked. I only ate a few bites and yet had an upset stomach midde of the night from the food. The person at the register looked concerned and said, someone else complained abouot the potatoes! Manager came out, was very irritated at me for complaining and acted like I WAS THE PROBLEM!!! I had driven 40 mins for this meal. :( She was so rude, no apologies at all, and clearly not fixing the mashed potatoes for anyone else Next Mt. Airy, NC back in around July 2025, I ordered chicken and dumplings with mashed potatoes. Same AWFUL potatoes, and the chicken and dumplings were SPICY HOT!!?? so spicy I could eat them, and since when is that supposed to be a SPICY DISH??? I couldn't eat it, and that meal got comped too. At least the manager there was very apologetic and admitted they couldnt find decent cooks anymore. Jaunuary 2025 - Christiansburg, Va - My dad ordered the trout. He said while eating it, it's not good like it used to be.and he didnt finish it. Later that night, he was sick. Coincidence? I doubt it after all this. My drink ended up being sugary-sweet and I probably would have asked them to dial it down if I had realized. On the plus side, they were able to get drinks out pretty quickly, in spite of there being quite the crowd. The space was clean and modern. Also, the bathroom was clean and very much appreciated on our road trip. I probably wouldn't sit and enjoy my drink here, due to the high traffic (at least when I visited). The family and I were on an adventure, heading up to Niagara Falls. I was using my trusty Yelp app to try to find a cool lunch spot. I saw Skeeter's, and knew we had to try it. So we jumped off the interstate, and wound our way down to the quaint downtown of Wytheville. It's a beautiful little town, and also the birthplace of Edith Boling Wilson, wife of President Woodrow Wilson. So we rolled into town and spotted Skeeter's nostalgic brick corner building. Very cool looking, and fitting for the 101 year old business. Alas, we got out of the car and excitedly walked up to the door,,, to find a CLOSED sign. We looked through the window, and could tell that we were missing something special. So we walked down to the street to a pizza place, and had a less than stellar lunch. Actually, it was just bad. So, went went off on our Niagara adventure, and a few days later we were heading home. It was nearing lunchtime, and we saw the sign for Wytheville. My wife said, why don't we try Skeeter's again. I called to make sure they were open, and we hit the streets of Wytheville again. We found a table at Skeeter's and started looking over the menu. They have plenty to offer besides hot dogs, but we had to try these world famous dogs. My wife and son got the regular "red weiner" dogs with fries. I had to go for the big 1/4 pound Black Angus dog. I was happy to find that they were in the process of changing their store over from Pepsi to Coke! As I said up at the top of this review, Skeeter's certainly lived up to the World Famous Hot Dog moniker! My big Black Angus dog was so good, that I had to order a second one! I think I can safely say, that if Skeeter's had been open on our way north, we would have still stopped on the way back, to enjoy it again! We found nothing bad to say about Skeeter's. The atmosphere, the decor, the food, the prices, the staff... all were absolutely wonderful! This is the kind of small town, hidden gem, that I love to find in my travels! We'll be back!
