2 Stacks of BS Unprofessional AF, unappetizing AF, and unappealing presentation of pumpkin pecan pancakes
    Karima Destiny G.

Talk about PISS POOR SERVICE from the host/cashier who can't take a order right. On up to the cook who can't cook something as simple as pancakes. The pancakes was half done. It was like eating goddamn batter right out of the bowl. The presentation was sloppy and half assed. Absolutely sucks !! It was all Unprofessional AF, unappetizing AF, and the presentation was unappealing AF. We placed 4 orders of 2 stacks of pancakes and ended up getting 3 orders of 2 stacks of BS FRFR they just didn't do anything right. Hated it !!!!!

Came in for our usual steak and eggs road trip feast and they did not disappoint! Quentin was our server and he was a delight and he great suggestions! I had steak, eggs and seasoned fries. Everything was hot and fresh and the fries were plenty and the steak was cooked just like I ordered! We had the Cinnabon pancakes to share and they were delish! They had a cinnamon crunch on the top and were topped with a sweet cheesecake filing. Will definitely be back when driving through!

Stop in here as much as I can. This Dennys always has great food and awesome service! For a truck stop Dennys they by far are the best !! If you get to the truck stop before 8 pm and have room to park. I highly recommend eating at Dennys.

Definitely glad I had made the effort to come in. I normally don't have the time. This was an excellent experience this morning. I got the Western Omelette with extra cheddar cheeses fruit cup and one small pancake with sugar free syrup. A water and black coffee. Just trying to eat healthier. Great food and great service with a friendly atmosphere. Everything was great including the music. Will definitely come back if given the chance.

I just don't get it why restaurants continue to give you subpar food the sausage links have no color look like they just microwave them or something bacon looks like you're leaving it's not even cooked all the way through the hash browns look like you're barely touch the grill in my toast didn't even picture it what is soggy they can't even cut toast evenly

#34-2021 haven't been here in about a year last time was when covid was just about to change the world in ways that never has before. there's two Denny's located within 5 mi of each other both in Flying J truck stops I've always favored this one here at Ft Chiswell. I came in about dinner time and noticed it was pretty slammed they had offered me a seat at the counter I didn't really want it I wanted a booth so I had to wait about 20 minutes for one but it was okay their Wi-Fi is good and strong I was able to occupy myself. time I was seated I was greeted by my waitress Melissa who came out and took my drink order promptly while I peruse the menu. like many Flying J Denny's this is pretty much the same located inside the pilot / Flying J. it was nice and clean in here however they did mention they were running some short staff they lost a few people a couple of no shows how much you can do about it. I said it's fine I'm a patient person I'm not worried about it. I'm decided to try their new fried fish platter. My first choice wasn't quite available it was missing a few options that they did not have in stock. so I opted for the fried Pollock said nice and crispy fillets. had a diet Coke food came out was very hot I was quite impressed. fried fish is really really good nice crunchy batter the Pollock's tasted really good she brought me tartar sauce I had the french fries no salt and the side of broccoli and added the Parmesan sauce. that wasn't as good as I thought it would be I'd probably stick with straight broccoli next time or just some melted cheese. all in all I was very satisfied I'm upping my star from last time last year because they did a really good job giving the fact that they were very short staffed some of the managers had to come in and do some of the cooking but they kept everything going and I didn't mind the extra 20 minutes to get seated or the little longer duration for my food to come out it was all fine the main thing was it tasted good the place was clean keep up the good work.

When on the road, this restaurant chain provides a good meal. The service at this location is top notch. Everyone is friendly, accommodating as well as being attentive to customers. Everything I ordered was great. Today I had the hamburger steak, corn, spring mix salad, and garlic bread. My husband had spaghetti and meatballs. The corn was exceptionally good, like shoe peg with a slight sweet taste. Yummy. My husband was pleased with the spaghetti. All in all very pleased with this location. Will stop back in next time in area.

With two kids in tow, we were worried there would be a wait, but thanks to summer break, we were seated quickly and all of the staff were super friendly and attentive. Holy moly, the eggs. I have no idea what magic they put into them (maybe butter?), but they were sooo flavorful! My kids (who are moderately picky, especially with their scrambled eggs) scarfed them down and asked me for a few bites of my omelette. The kids cleaned their plates (pancakes, egg, bacon) and so did my husband and I! I got a simple meat & cheese omelette (w sausage) and expected a pretty standard omelette - but those eggs, man. Those eggs! Hubs got western omelette with ham, and same. Go get Joe's eggs!! You won't regret it. Added bonus points for a deliciously fluffy biscuit and hot, yummy coffee!

Our plan was to grab a late…read morebreakfast, do a little shopping, tour Blacksburg to witness how much it's changed, then attend the basketball game. Joe's was a nice start to the day as they provide good food and good service within a tiny, but capable venue. Joe's is located near the Main St-College Ave intersection, next door to Hokie Hair (mind you, College Ave is no longer open to traffic, it's now a huge sidewalk). They are small and, since all the buildings along this portion of Main St are older, its interior is dark and dated. A makeover could be in order, but its old school look and feel lends itself to the friendly small town vibe I've become accustomed to in Blacksburg. This diner was nearly full, so we sat at the bar. There were three servers on the floor - all students. All three were friendly, helpful and loquacious (we talked about college in general, how to take advantage of a college's resources, and even discussed desired future outcomes of their educations - plenty of interesting topics for a chill Sunday morning). Neal had the t-bone steak and eggs, while I ordered a dish known as Joetaters (diced potatoes, cheddar jack, eggs, onions, peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms; and a choice of either bacon, ham, country ham, or sausage). Joetaters also came with a choice of white or wheat toast (or you can choose a biscuit for an extra $1.50). I chose wheat toast, and the entree was excellent. Neal ate his entire meal, so it's safe to say we enjoyed our food. Joe's is an excellent diner with awesome food and service. I can't wait to dine there again when I return. Thank you, Joe's Diner! While I read the reviews, we stopped anyway . The place outside/inside wasn't much to look at but the reviews said the food was good. The reviews were right about the food, and sketchy bathrooms. It didn't mention the gnats and flys we shared our lunch with. While I killed several, I think they were just the scouts... The salad was fresh with peppers, tomatoes, and cucumber. The Stromboli and "taste of Italy " were delicious. Overall service and food were EXCELLENT but I don't think I could dine in again. Get your food to go and you will enjoy.

Let's start with the things I loved: the servers were super friendly and there were a lot of them,…read moreso also super prompt. The menu had a huge selection and the prices were fair. And the food itself was...above average, I'd say. Nothing stunning, but okay stuff. Now, the dislikes: really small seating area with some rickety wooden chairs. If you can't fit in a booth, they have like one 4 person table and the rest tiny 2 person ones. The chicken stromboli I got came served on a small metal plate that was hard to eat from, and the bathrooms were pretty terrible. About what you'd expect in a high traffic place like this at a truck stop. It's overall a 3 star place, I'd say. Nothing great, nothing awful, would consider stopping again if I'm in the area. Next time I'll try the gyro.

Located inside the Bolling Wilson hotel on the ground floor, in the front left corner of the building as you walk in from the street front. An updated traditional small interior, with lots of seating outside both on the porch and side patio. We were greeted walking in and opted to sit on the front porch since it was a nice afternoon the day of our visit. Service is professional, kind and attentive. Our server was prompt with our drink orders, appetizer and entrees, and checked on us enough without being overly intrusive. We enjoyed a leisurely meal in a beautiful setting. Starting with the Griddled Focaccia eith balsamic reduction drizzle. A great starter, simple, well prepared and delicious. I opted for the Mustard grilled Pork Chop with a Devils backbone Lager. The chop was nicely prepared but a little overcooked (dry) not bad but still overcooked. Good flavor and a nice presentation, however it was dry which made it tough to cut. The flavor and the sauce made it palatable though, just wish it had been tender and not dry. 4 Stars - All in all, still a decent meal with great service in a nice comfortable locale. 01236
