Came here after check in to the nearby hotel for a late dinner. We got an appetizer plate with huge mozzarella stick, wings, and breakfast sandwiches. We also got some doughnut holes that were delicious. The huge mozzarella stick had good cheese pull. The fried food was good, and it was crunch. Overall it was good meal to have for a late time snack. I felt bad for the waitress because she was the only One at the front and it got busy. She had to take phone call orders and the in dining patrons. The service was a little slow becuase of that. Denny is affordable and good place to stop for a night time meal. read more

The cook was slow only one cook and restaurant was busy. The food was great though. I'm writing this review because there was a Very rude customer at the check out. The red hair server that brought food yelled the name of the food (what it was) and the RUDE customer said what did you say she said it again and said she didn't have to be rude about it . And mumbled a few choice words and said they will get a bad review for this to one of her friends. The server was not rude at all just doing her job. They where the ones that give the black community a bad name read more

Autumn was my server and she was AMAZING! Such a sweet soul!!! Food was delicious but the service was the best!

Every single point of this restaurant is EXCELLENT. Very good customer service and staffs, also foods well cooked deliciously, and clean Denny's and clean truck stop and restrooms. read more

It was clean and the service was good. The waitress was friendly and helped us, the food came out quickly. My family liked their food. I am not too big on eating sweets for a meal so obviously if you are the same this is not for you unless maybe you want dessert. read more

I've been to multiple Dennys across the nation. This one is letting the side down. I arrived at a not busy time with more workers than customers yet the hostess had wandered off long enough for there to be 4 others in line ahead of me - including one guy who brought his takeout chicken back complaining there was no chicken. I ordered bourbon bacon sirloin as pictured in the menu, with an additional $3.19 salad. The lettuce on the salad was brown-edged and limp and tasted not great. I asked the waitress if I could get a fresh made salad and she explained that that was what the lettuce looked like in the bag they opened that day. All salads look like that, she said. The sirloin came with fresh raw mushrooms on top. Aren't they supposed to be cooked? Nope, evidently corporate made the interesting culinary choice to perch raw mushrooms on a steak. Why am I skeptical of that? I ordered a rare, very rare steak, it came medium well and encrusted with old gunk from the grill. It was Not fond - it was nasty tasting scraped up black bits that should have been cleaned off the grill before the steak was put on. The broccoli was cold - not "oh it's not hot" cold - it was cold to the touch. The mashed potatoes were missing the gravy and were barely warm. I won't be back. read more

Talk about PISS POOR SERVICE from the host/cashier who can't take a order right. On up to the cook who can't cook something as simple as pancakes. The pancakes was half done. It was like eating goddamn batter right out of the bowl. The presentation was sloppy and half assed. Absolutely sucks !! It was all Unprofessional AF, unappetizing AF, and the presentation was unappealing AF. We placed 4 orders of 2 stacks of pancakes and ended up getting 3 orders of 2 stacks of BS FRFR they just didn't do anything right. Hated it !!!!! read more

Came in for our usual steak and eggs road trip feast and they did not disappoint! Quentin was our server and he was a delight and he great suggestions! I had steak, eggs and seasoned fries. Everything was hot and fresh and the fries were plenty and the steak was cooked just like I ordered! We had the Cinnabon pancakes to share and they were delish! They had a cinnamon crunch on the top and were topped with a sweet cheesecake filing. Will definitely be back when driving through! read more

Great food atmosphere and service. Got the Beetlejuice burger and it was amazing. The fries were cooked perfectly. Will be back soon!

We stopped by while staying in a nearby town with no food options. We were seated right away, had a very attentive and pleasant server and enjoyed our pasta and chicken Alfredo. Location is easy to find and parking a breeze. Tea was not great, tasted a little old but other than that, no complaints. We'll be back next time we visit. read more

Ordered lasagna and it was overcooked. Cheese on top was almost burnt. Waitress was great.

Definitely glad I had made the effort to come in. I normally don't have the time. This was an excellent experience this morning. I got the Western Omelette with extra cheddar cheeses fruit cup and one small pancake with sugar free syrup. A water and black coffee. Just trying to eat healthier. Great food and great service with a friendly atmosphere. Everything was great including the music. Will definitely come back if given the chance. read more

I just don't get it why restaurants continue to give you subpar food the sausage links have no color look like they just microwave them or something bacon looks like you're leaving it's not even cooked all the way through the hash browns look like you're barely touch the grill in my toast didn't even picture it what is soggy they can't even cut toast evenly read more

#34-2021 haven't been here in about a year last time was when covid was just about to change the world in ways that never has before. there's two Denny's located within 5 mi of each other both in Flying J truck stops I've always favored this one here at Ft Chiswell. I came in about dinner time and noticed it was pretty slammed they had offered me a seat at the counter I didn't really want it I wanted a booth so I had to wait about 20 minutes for one but it was okay their Wi-Fi is good and strong I was able to occupy myself. time I was seated I was greeted by my waitress Melissa who came out and took my drink order promptly while I peruse the menu. like many Flying J Denny's this is pretty much the same located inside the pilot / Flying J. it was nice and clean in here however they did mention they were running some short staff they lost a few people a couple of no shows how much you can do about it. I said it's fine I'm a patient person I'm not worried about it. I'm decided to try their new fried fish platter. My first choice wasn't quite available it was missing a few options that they did not have in stock. so I opted for the fried Pollock said nice and crispy fillets. had a diet Coke food came out was very hot I was quite impressed. fried fish is really really good nice crunchy batter the Pollock's tasted really good she brought me tartar sauce I had the french fries no salt and the side of broccoli and added the Parmesan sauce. that wasn't as good as I thought it would be I'd probably stick with straight broccoli next time or just some melted cheese. all in all I was very satisfied I'm upping my star from last time last year because they did a really good job giving the fact that they were very short staffed some of the managers had to come in and do some of the cooking but they kept everything going and I didn't mind the extra 20 minutes to get seated or the little longer duration for my food to come out it was all fine the main thing was it tasted good the place was clean keep up the good work. read more

When on the road, this restaurant chain provides a good meal. The service at this location is top notch. Everyone is friendly, accommodating as well as being attentive to customers. Everything I ordered was great. Today I had the hamburger steak, corn, spring mix salad, and garlic bread. My husband had spaghetti and meatballs. The corn was exceptionally good, like shoe peg with a slight sweet taste. Yummy. My husband was pleased with the spaghetti. All in all very pleased with this location. Will stop back in next time in area. read more

Keep your eyes peeled towards the back where they make ur food. I noticed a bigger white guy scratching his head and putting his hands on my bun to spread something on it, then he goes back to scratching his head. Never washed his hands. When I got my food 25 minutes later (wasn't busy at all) it was cold. Only reason they brought my food to me was because I was asking for a refund. Waste of time and money. Thanks for nothing read more

service not good. Got ignored by First Lady when she wasn't doing anything. took to long in order to take our order. they took everyone else's order when we got there first. read more

Restaurant was connected to a truck stop. Service was fine. Scrambled eggs were flat and over salted, bacon was undercooked and they did not have butter for the only good thing. the 9 grain pancakes. The margarine was mush and overly salted. You'd expect at least name brand products at a national food chain. Will never eat at a Dennys again. read more

This is An new great place to go if you're on the road! The food was super good and service was excellent!! My one complaint was that it was really cold inside. Other than that I would definitely recommend!!! read more

Stopped for breakfast around 8 AM. Light crowd and kitchen appeared to have plenty of help. Took an hour to order our food, wait for food, still waiting, waiting still, food arrives we eat and leave. Perhaps they should hire some Waffle House cooks to prepare our typical breakfast order in a timely fashion. Tip, scrambled eggs are out of a box. Fresh eggs available scrambled, by request. read more

Located inside the flying j truck stop, this is a nice Denny's. I'm not sure what to say because it has the same menu options that any Denny's will have anywhere in the US. What this location did have that maybe others don't, is the very friendly and great server that we had. She really helped get the orders and quickly, so the kids were happy oh, and we ate quickly. Great place to stop and fill up the gas tank and your tank! read more

I would definitely recommend just going somewhere else it's way toooo slow. The food took forever and they forgot my toast and the toast took even longer than the food read more

I shall and should be judged for this. My reasoning was clouded by a long day of driving to the middle of nowhere, where few options exist. I was hungry and I needed sleep and in that weird moment of confusion I decided that since I haven't eaten at a blue collar restaurant in a while, my reviews can't possibly be as well rounded as they could be, if I just ate here. Sounds weird now but it sounded strong enough for me to go there. Suprisingly, it was ok. I ordered the appetizer sampler with mozzarella sticks, chicken fingers and onion rings and they were all ok and freshly made. I also ordered the pot roast and it wasn't as terrible as I expected. My expectations were as low as they could possibly be. Service was weird because the server couldn't have cared less about her job and let's face it, no Denny's in the world could possibly be 5 stars so 3 it is. I won't go back because of the terrible service. There's no excuse for terrible service in the service industry. read more

Great service. And the food we ordered tasted better in this location. With other Pilot locations with Denny's that we have tried were made sloppy and service was terrible. read more

If Faith is working, i recommend sitting in her area. she is HYSTERICAL!!! It's in a Flying J truck stop (I didn't get any Jimmy Haslam memorabilia however), right off I-77, easy enough to get to, it's also co-located with a Wendy's, a truckstop, and gas station. The place is clean enough, and the food came out in enough time for me to enjoy myself with a good lunch and then get on my way once again. read more

It's in a Pilot truckstop so you can eat and get gas. They have really good breakfast specials if your tired of truck stop food. I always get the grandslam it's been the same for 30 years and it's free on your birthday. It was clean and the server was fine. The food came out pretty fast read more

I try very hard to avoid franchise restaurants but we were on the road and simply wanted a quick breakfast. The server was a very nice gal and she had a great personality. She even offered us a coffee to go at no extra cost. Our meals were better-than-average for a chain joint and were back on the road in no time. read more

Probably the worst cheeseburger I have ever had. I ordered the double bacon cheeseburger because I though it was one of the value menu items on the board at the entrance of the restaurant. Service was very quick but that is the only highlight. I ordered my cheeseburger plain. For those of you not familiar with the term plain, it means only bacon, cheese and meat in this instance. Evidently that term is not understood by the kitchen. When my burger came out it had lettuce, tomato and pickles on it. I absolutely despise pickles!!! In addition to that mess there was so much grease on there that it took away any flavor the meat or the bacon had. Basically I got a double grease burger with slimy tasteless cheese. Yum!!!! With fries and a drink, my order came to $13.41 before tip. That is absolutely ridiculous for the food that was presented to me! I wasn't a huge fan of Denny's before but now I will never eat there again. What a waste of money!! The only positive was the service. She was quick with taking my order and quick with refills. read more

It wasn't busy and it took forever to get our food. The eggs and pancakes were cold and my son's spaghetti was floating in water! The waitress never came back for refills and we had to ask the hostess for our check and when we got it were left standing at the register FOREVER to pay! There was a manager I saw when we entered but apparently he had a 60 minute break or something! I'd give this place 0 stars if I could! read more

It's Denny's, so have that expectation. I had dinner, the veggie soup is from a can, so think Campbell's condensed soup. Had the mushroom Swiss burger, it was good. Got the broccoli on the side, which was probably microwaved, warm But not hot. Service is average. All in all, I probably should have gotten breakfast. This is the closest "sit down" restaurant and after driving 8 hours, it worked for me so this is where I landed for supper. It's ok, but go with the breakfast. read more

We stopped in here to get a quick bite to eat and wake up before the rest of our trip home. We were only sat with menus, no silverware or place settings. It took about 5-10 minutes for us to even get service. I had to go to the bar to ask for a server. The other two tables were greeted within 45 seconds, but they were all white so that probably part of our problem. Penni our server was great though. read more
