This is a good place to get a good burger and they serve crinkle cut fries! Better than any fast food joint.

I've been eating here for years, typically at least once a week, and enjoy having a nice hotdog and beans with cornbread.

While I read the reviews, we stopped anyway . The place outside/inside wasn't much to look at but the reviews said the food was good. The reviews were right about the food, and sketchy bathrooms. It didn't mention the gnats and flys we shared our lunch with. While I killed several, I think they were just the scouts... The salad was fresh with peppers, tomatoes, and cucumber. The Stromboli and "taste of Italy " were delicious. Overall service and food were EXCELLENT but I don't think I could dine in again. Get your food to go and you will enjoy.

Let's start with the things I loved: the servers were super friendly and there were a lot of them,…read moreso also super prompt. The menu had a huge selection and the prices were fair. And the food itself was...above average, I'd say. Nothing stunning, but okay stuff. Now, the dislikes: really small seating area with some rickety wooden chairs. If you can't fit in a booth, they have like one 4 person table and the rest tiny 2 person ones. The chicken stromboli I got came served on a small metal plate that was hard to eat from, and the bathrooms were pretty terrible. About what you'd expect in a high traffic place like this at a truck stop. It's overall a 3 star place, I'd say. Nothing great, nothing awful, would consider stopping again if I'm in the area. Next time I'll try the gyro.

The place wasn't very clean, but we attempted to eat there anyway. The staff was friendly, so that was a plus. I ordered the Ron combo. I figured since they were called Biscuit World, the biscuits would be tasty. Unfortunately, that was not the case. You get a big biscuit with a small piece of sausage, the biscuit was extremely dry and the sausage was just okay. The hash browns were probably the best thing on my plate, but that wasn't saying much. My wife had the chicken tender basket and the tenders were just okay, but the toast was amazing. It was very buttery and unhealthy, but still tasty nonetheless. After getting drinks at the soda station my wife noticed little black floating specks in her drink. I then checked mine and they were there as well. My son then told me that they were in his as well. I thought they may have been in the ice so I took the drinks back and poured another round without ice, but the specks were still there. I informed the cashier and she said she would have someone take a look at the machine. I feel sorry for anyone else who drank from it without paying attention. This was my first and last time visiting Biscuit World. Ron Combo 1-5=1. Cleanliness 1-5=1. Customer Service 1-5=3. Black speckled drinks 1-5=0!

With two kids in tow, we were worried there would be a wait, but thanks to summer break, we were seated quickly and all of the staff were super friendly and attentive. Holy moly, the eggs. I have no idea what magic they put into them (maybe butter?), but they were sooo flavorful! My kids (who are moderately picky, especially with their scrambled eggs) scarfed them down and asked me for a few bites of my omelette. The kids cleaned their plates (pancakes, egg, bacon) and so did my husband and I! I got a simple meat & cheese omelette (w sausage) and expected a pretty standard omelette - but those eggs, man. Those eggs! Hubs got western omelette with ham, and same. Go get Joe's eggs!! You won't regret it. Added bonus points for a deliciously fluffy biscuit and hot, yummy coffee!

Our plan was to grab a late…read morebreakfast, do a little shopping, tour Blacksburg to witness how much it's changed, then attend the basketball game. Joe's was a nice start to the day as they provide good food and good service within a tiny, but capable venue. Joe's is located near the Main St-College Ave intersection, next door to Hokie Hair (mind you, College Ave is no longer open to traffic, it's now a huge sidewalk). They are small and, since all the buildings along this portion of Main St are older, its interior is dark and dated. A makeover could be in order, but its old school look and feel lends itself to the friendly small town vibe I've become accustomed to in Blacksburg. This diner was nearly full, so we sat at the bar. There were three servers on the floor - all students. All three were friendly, helpful and loquacious (we talked about college in general, how to take advantage of a college's resources, and even discussed desired future outcomes of their educations - plenty of interesting topics for a chill Sunday morning). Neal had the t-bone steak and eggs, while I ordered a dish known as Joetaters (diced potatoes, cheddar jack, eggs, onions, peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms; and a choice of either bacon, ham, country ham, or sausage). Joetaters also came with a choice of white or wheat toast (or you can choose a biscuit for an extra $1.50). I chose wheat toast, and the entree was excellent. Neal ate his entire meal, so it's safe to say we enjoyed our food. Joe's is an excellent diner with awesome food and service. I can't wait to dine there again when I return. Thank you, Joe's Diner!
