this is the best place in town to come for breakfast. The biscuits are outstanding and generous portions of food which makes this a good value. today was the first time that we grabbed lunch here and I got a hotdog with the most delicious dill pickle relish. I don't usually think about hotdog dogs after I eat them, but this one was perfect. The bun was warm and soft, and the hotdog was perfectly cooked. My favorite thing might be the iced tea, it was sweet, but not too sweet and you can definitely tell that they clean out their tea pictures because there was no funky taste like McDonald's usually has. A little off the interstate and worth the effort. A small local breakfast and fast food place. Quite friendly to a group of strangers who were clearly traveling through. We even looked like soaked rats from the rain shower that had dumped on us as we walked in. Very helpful with our ordering and shared their preferences. (Chips are house made) The menu is pretty simple but done well. Moist burger, crisp fries. House made chips were a nice addition. I've came here a couple time for breakfast and every time the food is fresh, biscuits are fluffy, and the tenderloin / bacon egg and cheese biscuits are spot on! The service is usually very friendly. Stopped in while we were traveling down to NC. No fuss type of place. I got a hotdog with chili and coleslaw, a side of onion rings and a drink. It was simple but really tasty and inexpensive! And to my amazement the biscuits were bigger than any of the other fast food and restaurants in the whole area. I'm going to check them out for lunch. If they do hamburgers like their biscuits. This is my most favorite place to eat in Pulaski County. The owner and staff members are wonderful. You never sit, like in all the other restaurants, waiting to be waited on. Your waiter is consistently coming back to the table to make sure you don't need anything and is always giving you refills on your drinks (of course if you wish). I absolutely love going to The Dawg House! My only complaint would be that they aren't open after 3:00 PM However, with that being said, they do serve a wonderful breakfast also. I wish the customers would leave better tips for those hard working waitresses too. I ALWAYS leave a 20% (or more) tip because they really do go above and beyond for each and every customer that walks through that door. The Dawg House has a drive-thru also for those who prefer that. Ate at the new Wytheville location, food was terrible and service not so good. First time there because everyone raved about it. Got the hotdog comb plate. Hotdogs had meager toppings and hotdogs where cold and looked uncooked. Never brought my drink and then when i did get it they never came to refill. read more
