Denny's.. what can I say. We stopped in after a long day of traveling and wanted something quick. Waited to be seated for a bit but once the hostess came out they were super friendly and accommodating. I ordered the simple chicken tenders meal being it was near 11p. Got a vanilla shake to wash it down. The shake was yummy and the tenders were good quality white meat and well seasoned. Got a Coke too and the free refills were plentiful for sure. read more

Great lunch business meeting at this Denny's in Evansville. Plenty of spacious, some games for the kids and the food was great. Despite the 5 for $5 deals advertised we went for the menu items. Worst food from there ever!!! Ordered breakfast & desserts. Inedible. One poor woman trying to help me & several others who didn't speak at all. Loaded my bag but no desserts. Had to make one. Other was improvised version of what I typically get. I was quiet & waited for both desserts. Other food was in bag. The stuff they call toast is disgusting. I even asked for fresh toast. I guess it's the bread that's old. Had no jelly for toast in bag. Idk what is going on there because there were plenty of workers available. Got there at 6pm, it wasn't even busy, the waitress took our order but never came back to check for drinks, and had to ask for the salad to be brought out. Food didn't come out till 7:35 pm but it was not correct. I ordered a T-bone medium but it came out like leather. Seemed to be a problem in the kitchen, won't be going there for a while. Came in for a late night snack. Sat for about 30 minutes before ordering. Food came out wrong, sent back to get corrected. How hard is it NOT to add cheese to a burger order? We needed a quick lunch and this place delivered that and more..... Pro I ordered breakfast with sunny side up but it came incorrectly with scramble eggs. I did not complain as we had little time for lunch. However, the eggs were moist and hot and I ended up enjoying it. I also loved the toast a lot. My friend & I both ate different items from the paradise pancake menu on Wed. June 29. I drank coffee, she had juice. The place was almost empty which seemed strange at lunch time, but we had both missed breakfast and wanted bacon. Service was fine. Wait time for the good was normal. Presentation of the food was good. Service follow-up was good. Our server got a good tip too. Well why the lousy rating? Let's just say that both my friend & I were in the bathroom within the next hour or two rejecting that meal. The only thing our meals had in common was bacon. Bad bacon? We were traveling to Kentucky and stopped to meet some friends who live in Evansville, Indiana. Denny's was a convenient spot for us to meet, so that is what was decided. We did not have a very good experience. We got seated immediately, which was pretty much the only thing that went right during our entire visit. It took quite a while for the waitress to get to us to take our orders, a)nd even longer for our food to arrive. When it did, my order had fries on the side instead of the hash browns I had ordered, my husband's burger (which he ordered plain) was fully dressed with all the toppings he said he did not want, and the waitress never brought the soft drink he had ordered - - although the soft drink was charged on the ticket (which I had her immediately remove). The waitress also never checked back on us to make sure things were going okay - - maybe lucky for her, because they definitely were not. Another thing that really bothered us is that as people left in our section, the tables just sat there, with all the dirty dinnerware still on them, for a LONG time. No one came around to clean them, until just as we were getting ready to leave. By that time, the tables were looking rather disgusting. All in all it was not a good experience. I have been in other Denny's and have been happy with my experience, but not in this one. We will definitely avoid this one if we happen to be passing through the Evansville, Indiana again. My husband and I went to Denny's today for breakfast! The Denny's at the travel center was packed so we went to the diner down the road. I have been going to the diner for years now and can never remember a time where I had bad service. Today we had a new (to us) waiter. We were seated as soon as we came thru the door! There was a family with a child who had a feeding tube next to us that was treated with respect and kindness as they fed their beautiful child. We ordered breakfast. My husbands steak was cooked perfect and my French toast was amazing. They were kind enough to even give me a soda to go! We will be back for sure! read more

Ok, I just started a new job on the east side and I have been driving by here all week and looking at this sign. Taunting me, teasing me, daring me. 4$ all you can eat pancakes! I mean HOLY SYRUP RUSH BATMAN!. SO we finally make our way there. I order and also add on a few things like bacon(duh) and some hash browns. She orders and asks for chocolate chip pancakes with a different syrup than what it was supposed to come with. Our waitress Mitzie, was very happy to comply and was giggling at us having so much fun ordering pancakes. SOoooooo, The pancakes are just freaking amazing. Neither one of us expected how delicious they were. Just a little syrup and they were literally melting in my mouth. Wow! I finished my 3 pancakes and asked her with a mouthful of food. Two more, she said, two more all you can eats? I said sure! So of course through the misunderstanding a few minutes later there Mitzie stands with two plates of pancakes piles three high. I said Holy crap no sweety just two pancakes. She just smiled and said no problem hun, Want them to go? Ummm hell yes! Pancakes as a late night snack, yes please. This is a great place to eat cuz you could either eat breakfast lunch or dinner at any time of day and time of night you can't even get off of work go with your friend hang out have fun the servers and cooks and managers are all nice especially the one on 41. The number one thing that I would recommend to everybody and it's my favorite meal is the pot roast the mashed potatoes and broccoli with cheese on it so don't be a stranger and come on down to Denny's it's good place to eat. read more

Terrible place, terrible service! Never got our food to start, I ordered and appetizer about 15-20 mins later the waitress comes and tells me they ran out of the appetizer. Another 10-15 mins pass, she comes through with the appetizer apperently they are "disorganized in the kitchen". My coffee cup had lipstick from the last person, my spoon was still dirty from the last person, and like i said never got our food because it would've been another 15-20 mins at the least! read more

We used to come here often since we work until late or after our kids sporting events. The last few times we had to wait at least 15 to 20 min just to have someone greet us and take a drink order. Nope. Dislike. We waited an hour and a half for a table. We tried to cut them a little slack, because it was Sunday morning. But our table sat empty for a good 20 minutes before they finally gave it to us. We then waited another 30 minutes for our food while the waitress fumbled around us, hitting us in the head with her trays and neglecting any sort of apology. Why on earth does it take 30 minutes to fry up some eggs? Oh, because our waitress let it sit up there for 15 minutes while she flirted with another waiter. I felt like I had to inhale my food to hold in any sort of heat left in it. All the food came out lukewarm. A horrible wait, horrible service, and horrible food thanks to letting it sit out. I enjoy all of the Dennys i've been to in evansville, but this one was not an enjoyable experience at all. My friends and I decided to go out to eat after service and were greeted with a rude waiter who didn't offer one of my friends a drink and was disrespectful to us a paying customers. She also had a terrible aroma too her and didn't look very clean. So I was thoroughly concerned about her handling our food. After we had eaten we went to check out and she had messed up our receipts and was frustrated when we tried to get them fixed. She further gave me attitude when it was her fault in the first place. Would not recommend going to this location. Not sure if i'm allowed to share this information but the servers name was Lauren. Maybe she should try to fix her nasty attitude before coming into work and serving people who pay her bills. read more

When I got there for my pickup, store was closed for renovations, employee of Dennys came up to my car door smoking a cigarette as I was trying to get my order in at another one across town, to inform me they were closed. Manager was present on other side of lot. Now I am waiting on $100 refund for food I didn't get. When I called today to make sure my money was refunded, on duty manager had no idea what to do. The waitress (Carol B.) was an absolute peach and the food was surprisingly good. Had a great burger, onion rings and some sort of apple crisp/vanilla ice cream thing for dessert. Bad service. Long wait time. Very long. When our meal arrived, it was cold and incomplete. Coffee mugs were stained. If you're used to good service, even mediocre service, you will be disappointed at this location. Our server Linda, was as bland as the cold pancakes that arrived; I'd like to think she was just having a bad day, no eye contact, no talk. I hope other Denny's locations in Evansville are better.
