We came here Christmas Eve close to midnight after leaving the hospital. We needed comfort food and they delivered. The pancakes were amazing. The eggs and hashbrowns definitely hit the spot! And the bacon and apple juice tied it all together! Dustin was our server and he couldn't have been more kind and understanding. He went above and beyond and we really appreciated that of him. I believe he is new but I wouldn't have guessed with how well he treated us. All in all this was hands down the best experience ive ever had at any dennys. read more

When we asked about the value menu, she told us "they don't do that anymore"... well why do I go on the website for your location and I see all of the value menu items up and available? What happened to the value menu cards that go inside the menus? Is the value menu some sort of secret menu now? Fantastic food and incredible service. We ate lunch there today and was definitely worth our time and money. Staff was so happy and friendly. Turkey dinner was amazing and the Carmel cold brew was so tasty. The restaurant was busy but they never missed a beat and treated us like we were there all the time. A friend and I called in an order I got the French toast and he got like a some kind of meal thing my French toast was burnt his food had hair and cooked in the food we did not eat any of it so I called the store and I told them what was going on and they said there's nothing they can do I had to wait for a manager the next following morning. So I called the next morning spoke to a manager by the name of Kim and she said to come up to the store and bring back the food. I thought that was odd thank the Lord I didn't throw it away when we got up there she treated us very very rudely she says oh you didn't need your food just because he found a hair in his. And I explained I'm sorry but that hair and his grossed me out and my French toast is burnt that's why I didn't eat my French toast. Then she says oh no that's how we make our French toast it's called caramelization I had explained to her that I order the same thing all the time and it's never turned out black like it was. Then she says well that's the way we do it and that's the way we serve it and asked me if I had the receipt. I gave her the receipt the only receipt that we got with it it was a yellow piece of paper that had like the pricing on it and then she tried to say oh that's not the receipt I need I need your original receipt I'm like man I don't have an original receipt this is what they gave me when I picked up my order she says how do I know you even got this from here I had to walk away she was so rude and her being a manager that is so not right so therefore I will not be eating at Denny's in Cottonwood ever again while that lady is still there very rude it took us like an hour just to talk to her so I'd even told her I don't even want the money back I'll take like another meal and she refused another meal and just threw the money at us so yeah I think Camp Verde is going to get all of my business from now on and their food is so much better than the one here in Cottonwood so I don't know what they're doing somebody needs to go in there and explain to these people how to cook and how to have great customer service skills because this is horrible the only good thing about that restaurant is the one waitress . I went in yesterday for my Free birthday breakfast and sat at the counter. And was sincerely amazed, watching this well oiled machine of a small group of workers running this whole place, that was very busy at the time; it was like watching a ballet! There were only two servers, the cook and one other person there. But the food was flying out of the kitchen and those ladies (Heather & Ateil, I learned ) were working so well together to get it out and get everyone served. My Dad has been going to this Denny for years and of course servers and cooks come and go but it is always open, always friendly, and has always be steadily consistent in the food quality! Our last visit was especially nice, whenever I'm in town usually this is where my dad wants to go for dinner or breakfast and we had a great waitress Destiny! Really Impressive! I haven't been here in a while. I live out of state in California. My mom lives near here and recently passed away. It was a long day. I wanted to get dinner out and be somewhere relaxing. I was so impressed with our lovely waitress Charity. What a sweet soul and so patient. But also a fantastic waitress for such a young person. Great skills like someone doing it for 20 years. I noticed that there was just one person in the back cooking. It was Chris the General Manager. How do I know? Because I made sure I asked, "who is that fantastic cook?" I was impressed she was the General Manager doing what had to be done helping to keep the place going smoothly. Then there was the other Chris, another waiter who was helping out the team. Thanks for the kindness. You wouldn't know they were short some help today because they were all working together making this Denny's look 5 star . So what can I say? Great food, great people, great place!!! If you want "good" service, "decent" food, and not worry about waiting too long for it, best time to dine here is probably morning (breakfast) or late pm (3-4pm/early dinner). The number of servers is limited, especially 3-5pm. If you ask them for a milkshake, they will either tell you "they're out of ice cream" OR "their machine isn't working" - but honestly, they just don't have the staff/time to make it. It does take some time to make a good milkshake. Best servers during that early dinner/time 3-5pm, are Marti and Tricia. Ordered 2 ham & cheese omelettes for delivery. Tipped OVER generous hoping there would be no mistakes. Good gets here and no utensils, no condiments, no water, no napkins, just a bowl with a half cooked omelette. So late it's not even worth the complaint. I feel so bad for the waiter, Nathan. He was working really hard but they were busy and I think he's the only waiter on tonite so we sat for about 10 mins without anyone coming to the table at all. And unfortunately the table behind us had two young girls just ordering coffee but talking and laughing about drugs and sex SO LOUD that we first askied to move tables but their giggling about drug use really triggered my husband and I and we had to leave. Not just us either! Two other tables got up and left too! So all 8 of us ended up eating at Black Bear diner instead. Usually come here once every 3 weeks or month with my girlfriend, she loves Dennys more than me but I don't mind Denny's at all, last time we went, there was only 2 servers and I believe 2 cooks, and it wasn't that busy which was good because our food came quick, food was super good and service was ok but that's because they had other tables as well, but very friendly servers, one cook was being rude to her servers when they were busy themselves she would get mad at them and shout in front of all the customers, overall decent place to quickly stop by for a bite read more

I've been eating here for close to 20 years, it's had its ups and downs as expected; however, the service I received yesterday was terrible. I work nights so dinner for me is late at night. I tried to place an order online around 1230am but the website says orders can't be placed after 11 pm. So I called the restaurant. I was greeted by a server named Christian who told me they cannot take phone orders after 10 pm so the only way I could order food would be to go into the store and order in person, which I did. When I arrived, after waiting at the counter for several minutes, I was able to speak to Christian who was seated at the bar/ counter area. He proceeded to tell me he was on break and that he could not help me or place my order for another 11 minutes. I stood around and waited and I finally asked if I could tell him my order so I could run to the gas station and come back. He said he would write it down but couldn't "put it in the system" till he was off his break. I ordered nachos and an order of fries. I left, came back, paid for my order, and went home. When I unpacked my food to share with someone else, I noticed the French fries weren't even the amount you'd get with a side order. There were 11 in a small box. At this point I was frustrated and no longer wanted to deal with it so a family member called and spoke to Christian, he was very rude to my family member on the phone and told her "It's 2 a.m. I'm the morning what do you want me to do about it?! I don't control the portion sizes". We were aware of what time it was and we work night shifts and this business is open 24 hours for a reason. When asked for the manager's name he said he was not going to give it to her and that if she wanted to talk to the manager she could call back tomorrow and request to speak to them, she did ask his name and after a long pause, he finally gave it. I don't normally leave negative reviews because s*** happens but in 20 years of being a customer I've never experienced someone so blatantly rude. The only reason why I'm giving some stars is because we called the following day and spoke to the manager on duty, I believe her name was Ella, and she apologized and offered to replace the food and said the situation will be addressed, she was very apologetic, genuine and accommodating and we appreciated it!!! read more
