Over the years, I've come here to this specific location off Soquel Canyon and the 71fwy. The people here are always so friendly, the staff is nice, professional, and very quick to take care of you, and the food is always delicious. I mean, if you're the only one in America who's never been to a Denny's, ya need to go, my friend. (Unless you're a European tourist here for the World Cup, then you're missing out on this American staple)... anywhooo, went here today for an All American brunch and was greeted by our server who was just so happy to see us. Came in today for breakfast. Service and food is always solid. Especially since it's Denny's it's not a five star restaurant lol. Servers are always friendly and courteous. Coffee is always full and food is always cooked perfect. They always cook my steak perfect. It's never overcooked. Food always comes out promptly as well. But today there was beard hair on my plate. Like a good 3 or 4 strands. I know it's not mine because I don't have long facial hair just stubble. I get up to look inside their open kitchen and noticed their cook has a thick beard but no beard net. Not good. Pretty gross actually. Those beard hairs on my plate were definitely his. I didn't want to complain because I already ate most of my food before I noticed it and I knew if I told the server they would have comped my meal which I didn't want. I'm not like that, wanting free food by complaining the way we see in so much of society today in restaurants. I just told the server after I paid as I was leaving. The right thing to do was to pay for it since I did eat most of it. But management definitely needs to address this. I didn't want to take and post a pic of it either because you would lose your appetite. Pay attention to the signage on the windows as that is the sale items and I suggest that as the pricing on the sale items are at least 25% lower than the menu prices. Hours say 11:30Pm during the week and it's closed at 10pm. Drove up here thinking they were busy and not answering phones to place a to go order and the doors are locked. No sign on the door indicating an early closure or whatever the case is. Keep it in mind when you go. read more

Moons Over My Hammy -we added jalapenos, not much of a kick but added a bit of tang to cut the heaviness. Cinnamon Roll Pancake Slam -drizzled icing was a little too sweet for my liking. I live in Chino and drive to Chino hills Dennys because it's worth the drive and we enjoy it. We normally go to the Chino one, but we've had very bed experiences in the Chino location. We decided we're digging Dennys and found the one in Chino hills about 10 minute drive. We got there and we're greeded and sat down right away. Food quantities were great and the service was fast and friendly! We have two babies that join us which is a bit tough when going out to restaurants. I requested a high chair and a booth kinda far on the edge as the babies could be loud. They accommodated. We were happy. We decided to go again a few weeks later and the service and food were just as good as the first time. If you're looking for a friendly Dennys with good quality food, come to this one in Chino hills, and skip the Chino location. read more

Our family frequently visits Dennys for breakfast, although I've been coming here since I was a child myself.. but the breakfast is delicious, not always consistently but always good enough. I ordered the T Bone steak dinner and a garden salad for take out. The last time I ordered this dinner the steak quality was decent which was last year several months ago. Not tonight. The steak overall was so tough with a small tender area I had a problem cutting the steak using a real steak knife. They must have changed meat suppliers. I've been coming to this Denny's since the location off Grand in the same city closed a while back. I can admit I don't come here too often because I really only come here for breakfast, and with work most of the week I don't get the chance to. But when I am able to come, the pace is always clean and the service is great and the food is what you can expect from a Denny's. It's familiarity, and it's delicious. Haven't been to Dennys in forever! Surprisingly this location was quite busy at 10pm. It's tucked in a hidden plaza right before the freeway so it's easy to miss if you're not familiar with the area. Super clean space, updated interior & I love the updated look on the Menu. Plenty of dining area space, clean bathrooms & a big parking lot. Wheelchair friendly, no stairs entering the front. The Grand slam taste just like how I remembered when I was young....YUMMY! I got the sirloin steak, Mac & cheese & mashed potatoes. I wasn't a fan of the Mac & cheese it was too saucey for my liking & the flavor of it was too bland. Other than that my plate was delicious. The garlic bread was tasty, it had a nice crunch to it. Our waiter Fernando was attentive, friendly and did a great job serving the whole restaurant by himself. The dish man (looks young) was quick to clean every table and kept the restaurant clean. Had the worst experience ever. The manager/owner "Sam" was extremely rude. It seemed like all he wanted to do was argue with me. This person has zero customer service skills. I don't think he cares about the few customers that still go to his restaurant. Needles to say, I will not be coming back to this Denny's mainly because of this person. Love this place even though I don't frequent it too often. They have amazing breakfasts, and they always make the eggs perfect. I like them over medium. Hash browns are cooked good too. I even like the ham, but I get that every so often. They have really good burgers as well, and a lot of variety to the menu. This particular Denny's is not too crowded, so it's nice to have a quiet atmosphere. The staff, waiters, and cook are all pretty friendly. The grand slam has always come out as ordered (crispy bacon, abundant crispy hash browns, fluffy eggs, nice toast). I ordered the salted caramel banana pancakes - tasted like bananas foster. I substituted the ham out for bacon, it usually comes with bacon and sausage, but I just got like 7 pieces of bacon and no sausage. I didn't complain because I like bacon, but the bacon was cold and not crispy. It's like they just threw a handful of bacon on my plate.
