Went here for some breakfast, it was a 20 minute wait time for us. There was kids everywhere either super loud or running around which was annoying. But once we were seated the waitress came by right away and was really friendly. The food came out fast, it was delicious and Dennys is always a solid place to get breakfast

I came in today around 12:40 in the afternoon and during the visit I ordered the zesty nachos aswell as that the boneless wings as an app and I will say the boneless wings were too done ...to the point it was dry aswell as that we got the smokehouse Mac and cheese with the brisket and I would also say I'm disappointed because the breakfast is good here but the lunch/ dinner items aren't their strong side the brisket came out too cooked more like the texture of dry jerky. Our server he was polite just not very attentive as we hoped. The experience overall was okay not the greatest if anything I wouldn't like to stay for long it seems very dead.

This location is the best location Ive been to. Very clean and social. The staff here were friendly from the door with amazing energy. The pancakes here were fluffy and had the right amount of servings. Definitely recommend for a quick breakfast. Will be stopping by again.

What is the pink?

When I got in it was fine family friendly kids looked like they had a good time. Though the worst came when I sat down they had totally forgot my drinks and then after getting my order in my food it was pink. WHAT IS IT? I sent it back and told the waitor what happened and he said I don't know. This place needs to get a check by a food criti.

Raw hash brown

Has to be the worst food we have ever had, it was raw and cold the hash browns weren't even browned The cleanliness of the restaurant is disgusting, the pots that hold the jam are stained. The toilets are blocked, urinal in particular Service was extremely slow

One of the food things that comes out of dining solo in a diner-like restaurant is the opportunity to sit at the counter and engage in conversation with the people working there. Although this Denny's was busy this Saturday morning, I was the only customer by myself, so when the cashier asked if I would mind sitting at the empty 5 stool lunch counter, I jumped at the chance. He took a few seconds clearing space for me, and nodded toward it directing me to take a seat. A mug of fresh bracing coffee was placed before me a minute later. I drove to this old school grubhouse for one thing - the need to satisfy an urge for Chicken Fried Steak. Where it came from I didn't know, as I hadn't had this dish very often in life, but I saw no point in denying myself even if I couldn't explain its etiology. While waiting for my meal to be prepared and served I struck up a conversation with that cashier. He was all Jersey, growing up down the road from this place. Still, he had been around, and knew quite a bit about hunting, fishing and outdoor life. Covid also came up, and he was an early adapter to the vaccines, so early that he was observed in hospital. Impressive and brave on all counts. It was a good exchange in several pieces during my stool time. Yup. The CFS was just what the doctor ordered - crunchy on the outside, tender ground steak within, and a white gravy over top that added a slightly sweet and peppery flavor. Sides of Red Potato Mashed and Sauteed Green and Yellow Zucchini completed the ensemble. Each was very good separately, and terrific together. It was a simple meal, and perhaps not the healthiest, but it rang every note of my expectations, and left a contented smile on my face. Denny's is not a regular stop for me, but sure delivered for me this day. From good talk through al dente seasoned squash and brown gravy tinted mashed, it was better than imagined. How often does that happen?

I always love Denny's. It reminded me of my childhood of when I use to go to Denny's every weekend. Of course now I don't go to Denny's that often so when I do it feels nostalgic. I got my favorite dish, the t-bone steak with some pancakes, hash browns, sunny side eggs, and some side of Turkey bacon. I also got the chicken noodle soup that I tried for the first time. Very good and I enjoyed it. The steak was cook well done when I wanted medium rare. The steak still tasted decent. Also ordered a burger dish, also good for the cost. The service was excellent. Everyone was very friendly and the food came out at a reasonable time.

Sorry. Had to do this because people just don't care. Have not been to Denny's for while and will never again. Anyone take a look at picture and what I got, will get it. New Year I spended my hard earned money and purchased food for my 3 kids, the wait for 4 items was over 30 mins(they are not busy) and the food was cold and not very good at all. For ur info. This is before photo, we just opened and that is what the food look alike. I have right away, send message to corp office and no reply as of now. Over $50+ for this..... sad I know a good person or people who care about the job is hard to find, but this is bad. My chicken tender was cold and hush brown was hard, burned, old, and I never got my fruit salad, got couple pieces of bread instead My daughter got crepe and sides and today she is Home, feel I'll and throw up 3 times My 2 sons got burgers, was not very good at all. Anyway, Denny's was my family (parents) favorite place, I guess no more

The health department needs to shut this place down. It is so run down and dirty from the second you walk in.

Old Town Pub - Shrimp Tacos

Old Town Pub

We arrived at Old Town Pub on a weekday at that strange and tender hour between the end of work and…read morethe beginning of evening, when the sunlight looks tired but not yet ready to quit. There were eight of us, a band of aging birthday revelers, unsure whether we were still young enough to be loud or too old to be noticed. The staff didn't seem to mind either way. They smiled, rearranged some tables upstairs in a corner just for us, and let us take our time as the rest of the party wandered in, one by one, like characters from eight different novels who'd lost their place in the story. The upstairs room was empty when we arrived, echoing pleasantly with the sound of our indecision. By the time we left, it was humming with life. The bartender, whose name I did not catch but whose pour I will remember, mixed me an Apple Jack from the fall cocktail list. I had planned to explore their beer selection, which is said to be quite good, but the apple and Tito's combination called out to me like an old American folk song. It was crisp and strong and made me grateful for my liver's enduring patience. For dinner, I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was good but too greasy, even for a dish whose main promise is grease. The plate looked like an oil field after a minor accident, and the poor chips had to make do with swimming lessons they hadn't asked for. Still, the fish itself was solid and flaky, and I ate most of it while pretending not to notice the puddles. Around the table there were burgers, salads, sandwiches and tacos. Everyone ate. Everyone was fine. No one wept with joy. Our server, though, deserves an entire paragraph. He was the sort of person you wish the world had more of. He was patient, kind, and surprisingly cheerful for someone who had to answer seven variations of "What's good here?" He took special care with our friend who has celiac disease, making several trips to confirm that her meal would be safe. He handled it with both professionalism and genuine concern. It was one of those rare moments when good service feels less like customer care and more like small-scale heroism. We were politely nudged around 7:00 to make way for the trivia crowd, which seemed fair. We had been there for two and a half hours, which in restaurant time is nearly an epoch. On another night, I imagine they would have let us stay longer. We left feeling content, not dazzled, but content counts for a lot these days. Old Town Pub may not be the most extraordinary restaurant in Bordentown, but it has heart. It has history, too, tucked into its walls from the days when it was The Farnsworth House. The renovation in 2017 gave it new life without scrubbing away its past. That balance between old and new feels just right, like the moment between late afternoon and early evening. Four stars for kindness, competence, and cocktails that don't apologize for being cocktails. The fish and chips may have been greasy, but the night itself was not.

We got chicken quesadillas, loaded tater tots, roast beef sandwich, some drinks & their peach cobbler. Decided on under the moon cafe and loved the atmosphere and ambiance when we first walked in. Different mix matched tables, glasses and plates. Loved the ceiling tiles and comfy looking benches. I love duck and when I read duck Mac and cheese with cherries I was lost in wonder of the combination of flavors so of course I had to order it. Surprisingly it was very enjoyable. The Mac and cheese was nicely made cheesy, noodles weren't over cooked and over all had good flavor with pieces of duck and a few cherries mixed in. I also ordered the burger which was cooked as requested medium rare and was topped with bacon and an onion ring. I upgrade to the Parmesan truffle fries.which I was slightly disappointed in. I didn't see or taste the Parmesan but there was a slight truffle flavor. The fish tacos I heard were good but not really blacked and the vodka sauce was just okay according to others at the table.

I will say, even the bathroom was decorated to instill a sense of nostalgia. We went for brunch and started with a duck mac and cheese. As you'd expect it was a bit lighter on the duck than one would like, but was ultimately well worth trying. I'd say this goes even moreso if you're a fan of duck, as that's not the mac and cheese pairing you see most often. Beyond that, I got the fish tacos. I'm typically afraid of ordering tacos out due to portion size, and while you do only get two tacos, they are rather large, and come with a side of truffle fries which were exceptional. The tacos themselves were also fantastic and filled with the flavor you'd want and expect from the dish. While we were too full to engage with a dessert, I will say our server was nothing short of delightful and we had a wonderful time. The restaurant is in a great location in downtown Bordentown and we will certainly be revisiting when we are back in the area.

I haven't been to this site since it was Dublin Square which was a long time ago. Some of the layout changed. They no longer have the old bar separated from the dining area. Callie was our server and did a great job. I was there with some friends from SC. We started by ordering the large pretzel which comes out on a pretzel hanger along with some beer cheese for dipping. They also use that hanger for bacon. The pretzel was enough for 4 of us. I ordered the wings and selected Nashville Hot and Hog Sauce as my flavors. They claim they sell by the pound ($15.50) but it ends up being 8 wings. If you want to split flavors, they make it dry and bring the sauce on the side for dipping. Luckily the Nashville Hot is a dry rub. It was very good and not too spicy. The Hog Sauce is a combo of Buffalo and Garlic which was excellent. The wings themselves were plump, juicy and crispy. Five stars. Plenty of parking. Some tables available outside for outdoor seating when it ever gets nice in NJ. Bathrooms were very clean. You may find some little pink pigs around. Not sure if they're complimentary, but my wife took the one that was next to our table. My only complaint is they have too many of their draft beers designated for only 10 oz pours even with low ABV. I had a Kane Head High which was in a 16 oz glass. They also use OpenTable for reservations which I used as well.

You'll want to try the chicken parmigiana pizza, with a crispy chicken cutlet serving as the dough instead! Try a Trenton famous tomato pie, and see that it compares well to other notorious spots in the area! Their Billy Mac cheeseburger came loaded with creamy Mac and cheese! We loved the Mac and cheese so much we even ordered it as a side. For a more traditional entree, try the short rib for a cozy fall dinner. The short rib was tender and inviting and came with an ample amount of mashed potatoes and veggies. A great healthier option. And save room for dessert, the chocolate chip cookie skillet and funnel cake fries are a MUST! The cookie skillet was warm and gooey and the funnel cake fries brought the classic treat without all the mess! Make Flying Pig tavern your next hangout spot. It's a great place to watch a game, join in on their trivia nights, or come by for ladies night. They have a large spacious room upstairs that can be rented out for parties. As a nearly lifelong resident of New Jersey, this place is an exact specimen of the diners I grew up with and survived college on. Obligatory dessert case glowing with future regret. Old school dining room that has clearly seen things. Waitresses calling you "hon" with complete sincerity. It felt less like walking into a restaurant and more like walking back into the late nineteen nineties in the best possible way. I was seated in a booth quickly and my waiter appeared almost instantly, which suggests a system that has been working for decades and sees no reason to change now. I ordered the lunch special BBQ chicken chipotle wrap, coffee, and upgraded to the matzo ball soup. The soup was fine, nothing more. It existed. I have had better versions of this soup in my life and will likely have better ones again. It was certainly not worth the extra two dollars and thirty nine cents, though I respect its quiet confidence. The wrap, on the other hand, was quite good. More chipotle than BBQ, and the sauce was thinner than I expected, but it all worked. It was well made, hot, and genuinely tasty. The french fries alongside it were also very good, which is never a small thing. Service was exactly what you want. My coffee cup never dropped below half full without someone checking in to see if I wanted it warmed up, as if this were a moral obligation rather than a job requirement. All told, with the soup upgrade and tip, lunch came to twenty dollars. These days that feels almost quaint, especially since I left full and satisfied. If you want to know what a standard New Jersey diner experience looked like in the nineties and the early aughts, this is your place. That is not a criticism. That is the point.
