We came to this location at 11:30 Good Friday morning. There were a few tables occupied, but it wasn't busy at all. We were greeted quickly by a very pleasant hostess. And that was it. We sat at our table with the menus - no drinks - for about 15 minutes, unable to get anyone's attention. The order of the table adjacent to us had their order taken while we were waiting and we thought the server would come back and take ours. She didn't. When we arrived it wasn't too busy in the afternoon. Front end staff greeted us immediately and was very Pleasant, while we waited for a table. Our male server came and took our drink order within a min. After we got our drink my one guest and myself noticed no straws for our soft serve drink. We noticed other patronage had straws. Our server came back to take our order and we did get the straws after we asked. All our meals came out fast and everything was hot. My one guest said her dbl berry was actually FRESH not frozen fruit she was happy about receiving fresh fruit. Both her and mine shredded hash brown where very oily. Been a while since I gone to this Denny's. Went here recently and the restaurant has undergone and completed renovations. New signage and greeting area. All new floors and booths. Still an old school dinner table counter near back of the restaurant. Food prices are very good and portions as always are plentiful. Kids menu is priced nice and Tuesday they have kids eat free from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Overall great food, great service and will be coming back. read more

The food was great as usual, but that's not the problem. Came in on Monday June 13th at 11:50pm for a meal. Got sat fast. Server "Ma Rhea Ma" didnt introduce herself but on the receipt it shows the name, took my order. As a regular at many Denny's locations over the last 11 years and as a former employee I may know more about the menu than some. I ordered a Lumberjack slam scrambled eggs, all bacon, shredded hash and asked the server to add one side of crispy chicken or country fried steak to my meal. she said it couldnt be done, but multiple dennys have done it for me, after telling her there is a button for it and can she please check with the kitchen if they can do it; she goes on her merry way, comes back 5 mins later to check on my drink refill. The food comes out, I ask for hot sauce and yay i got my fried steak but is it chicken or beef? Guess we find out..... She only has 3 tables at this point, busses one of them, still waiting for my hot sauce for 5 minutes.... so i eat my pancakes and steak first, food is getting cold now, she comes back to check on refill then i remind her of the hot sauce. Apart from that service was fine, I tipped 18 percent but honestly was only worthy of 10 percent. The steak was beef not chicken btw, but i know there is a side chicken option..... I really wanted that chicken...... The server isnt a bad server but definitely needs to be retrained and whoever trained her should probably be fired..... It was a busy Sunday for brunch we knew we were going to have to wait but we were waiting for 30 minutes to be seated and we ordered drinks and food at the same time just to speed up the process then waited over 30 minutes for our food which was average and the cook brought it out we only saw our waiter at the beginning and the end which fine it was busy but they were under staffed for the rush for brunch that's my only complaint read more

I was quite surprised with this location. The place was nice and clean and in good repair, unlike the usual grungy Denny's you expect to walk into. On a late Sunday morning we were able to walk right in a grab a table. The place was busy but not full or overly loud and crowded. Other than the initial long wait to get our drinks, our server was completely on top of things through our whole visit. I ordered the All American Slam. Its a pretty straight forward meal which was well cooked. My girlfriend ordered a seasonal special which included berry pancakes. They were huge! She couldn't finish them so I had a couple of bites. They were delicious. If I wasn't so full from my meal I would have easily polished them off. Overall I was quite impressed with this location. read more

Denny's has changed, at least at this location. Used to be our "go to" restaurant for a weekend brunch. We usually order two seniors plates with scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes. We used to be able to substitute one of the pancake orders for toast. Nice option that gave us both to share. Not any more, if you substitute anything, they now charge extra. No small orange juice anymore - just the large - more revenue. Staff claims the changes are initiated at head office. No Calgary Sun newspapers anymore. Although the food here is about what you'd expect from any Denny's, it's the staff here that have me returning to this location on occasion. Everyone I've dealt with is friendly, helpful, and efficient. These qualities are especially important when dragging three children out to eat. My experience with this particular dennys has always been less than satisfactory. When you aren't waiting an obnoxiously long time for your food, you and your group of friends are split up into tables so you cannot talk even while an empty booth large enough for your group is unused and available. If those few factors aren't enough to deter you from spending your hard earned money here it frequently seems that they have no heat available in the building leaving you hungry, isolated from friends and shivering. read more
